Vale glanced at Roy from the front mirror for a second before focusing her eyes back on the road.
'Who?"
'Igor."
Vale's face immediately turns dark when she heard this name. Her heart burns with rage, and her eyes flash killing intent.
'Who's Igor?" Cassie, who's sitting at the passenger seat, asked in curiosity.
'A Russian Mafia leader." Roy hesitantly answered. After all, not everyone should know about this.
'Oh." Cassie nodded in disappointment. She wanted to know more about what they were talking about. But, she realizes that she is in no position to question her leader.
Then, the car went silent for the rest of the ride.
When the car stopped, the two subordinates immediately furrowed their eyebrows in confusion as they look outside of the vehicle.
Rubbing his eyes, he saw a tall building with the words ‘R Hospital'.
Unsatisfied, he opened the car door and went out.
They were truly at the hospital. But why?
'Vodca, why are we here?" Cassie's voice beat him first.
She also had gotten out of the car as she looks at the hospital entrance in a daze.
Vale steps out of the car before answering, 'I want to visit someone. Let's go."
They strode to the hospital entrance calmly. However, their appearances that look like a celebrity attracted a lot of attention. Some people even got the courage to take their photos.
Who knows, upon entering the hospital, their appearance created more chaos. A murmur can be heard from the crowd.
'My God! Who are they?"
'The man is so attractive! Come, hubby, let's take a picture with them."
'The woman walking in front is so bad-ass! From now on, she's my idol!"
'The blonde woman is definitely prettier, and her appearance is truly cute!"
Roy's eyes followed the source of voice who said the latter. He gave the group of young male doctors a venomous glare as a warning.
How dare they mention his treasure so casually!
They paid no heeds to the current events and continue their way up to the counter.
'We are Igor Mikhail's friends. What is his room number?"
Roy immediately played his role as an assistant.
'Huh-oh! It's...It's room num-number 32 on the fifth floor." The young receptionists stammered shyly as she answered him. Her cheeks blushed red as her eyelashes fluttered.
'Thanks." Roy winked at her before they walk to the elevator.
When the elevator door closed, it was silent for a moment before a small voice spoke.
'Disgusting."
Roy raised an eyebrow when he heard this.
'Seriously, Cassie? This again? I knew it. You definitely want to attract my attention." A smirk appeared on his smug face.
'Asshole."
However, Cassie only gritted her teeth in annoyance as she spoke.
'You..." Roy was about to refute back when the elevator stopped, and Vale walks out.
The two persons behind her immediately followed stiffly.
They walked towards room 32 and saw a few guards standing at the door.
'I want to talk to Igor. Alone." Vale said to the guard.
One of the guards knocked on the door, 'Sir, there's a woman outside who wants to see you."
A few seconds after, 'Let her in."
'Yes, sir." The guard steps aside and Vale walked into the private ward.
'Madam!"
'Madam!"
Roy and Cassie simultaneously called her out in nervousness.
'I'll be fine. Wait for me here." Vale waved them off before stepping further inside.
But, the scene in front of her caught her off guard.
Why...how...?
A wave of betrayal caused her to staggered back.
A dull pain hit her heart hard. Making her unable to breathe for a second.
It was truly agonizing.
Anne, her sister, sat on the bed as she wiped Igor's face with gentleness and care.
However, her usual cheery expression was gone and replaced with sadness and pain as she looked at the man on the hospital bed.
Fuck! She's in love with him!
Igor's usual cold and frightening aura even dissipated a bit with Anne around him.
'Close the door." Vale ordered in a low voice.
'This..." The guard looked at Igor.
Igor waves him off. The guard hesitated a bit before closing the door unwillingly.
When Anne felt another presence in the room, she looked up, and her eyes immediately narrowed into slits upon seeing the woman in front of them.
'Who are you?"
Vale smiled bitterly when she heard her question.
She opens her mouth to reply, but a cold voice interrupted her, 'She's the one who deliberately tried to kill me."
Hearing this, a look of hatred flashed on Anne's eyes.
'Why the hell are you here? If you don't want to apologize then scram!" Anne roared as she stands up.
A big hand covered her small clenched fists, unwrapping them before intertwining their fingers together.
Anne pursed her lips but didn't move her eyes away from the woman.
Igor looks provocatively towards Vale with a small mocking smile on his face.
Vale saw the look her sister is giving her, and she stiffens.
Anne's look of hatred and shouts caught her off guard again.
What did this guy do to her sister?
Anne never liked violence and arguments. But today...
Vale could only gulp her saliva back.
'I wouldn't have done that if you didn't try to shoot me first." Vale casually said as she watched Anne's reaction.
'And yet you're still alive, and he's lying here with so many wounds! You heartless woman! Scram!" Anne shouted as she pointed towards the door.
Vale's eyes burn with hot tears. She's truly glad that she wears her black sunglasses all the way here. Otherwise, people would have seen how red her eyes are right now.
Her nails dug into her palms until it pierced her skin.

Anne's voice echoed inside her head like a broken cassette. It rings inside her head repeatedly. Making her want to pull her hairs out and scream.
"Anne..." Vale's voice turned hoarse.
'You...You...How did you know my name?" Anne looked at her in shock.
Not being able to hide it anymore, Vale removed her sunglasses and her wig at once.
'No..." Anne falls down on the bed when she saw her sister, Vale.
Vale laughs self-deprecatingly before wearing her sunglasses and wig back.
'No...It's not possible." Anne's body trembles in nervousness and fear.
Her fist clenched and unclenched as she looks at her sister with regret and guilt.
'In this world, anything is possible." Vale said before walking away from them.
She stopped at the door, 'If you don't want our brothers to know, then don't talk nonsense about me either."
Then, she opened the door and left in large strides.
