Chapter 52 Girl's Stuff
1441words
"Girl's stuff. You don't want to know," Vale answered and smirked.
Leslie had fallen asleep in the guest room after a very long girl's talk. One which had Vale's heart running a marathon. They had agreed to keep it between them, and Vale was dying to help Leslie out of her mess when she realized, she too, is in a mess herself.
Knowing that her brother could be the leader of the Blood Brother Gang who attacked her gang a few weeks ago. Vale's mouth had been itching to ask him about it. But the thought of it terrifies her to the core. The brother she had tried to protect is a possible gang leader.
I need to ask Keith about this. She decided.
Vale walks back to the living room where Mason and Keith are still talking business. Her face marred in a deep frown remembering her conversation with Peter just now.
Flashback
"Stay away from Kyle. I don't like him, and you should end your relationship with him as soon as possible," Peter look straight into Vale's eyes, determined.
"Why would I do that?" Vale asked, enrage and confused.
"You don't know what he really does for life. He's bad news," Peter looked away, but Vale manages to catch him clenching his jaw as his eyes darken.
"So, fucking, tell me! What is it that he really does for life, brother? Enlighten me, so I could understand!" Vale snapped at him. Irritated and angry as he avoids looking on her eyes.
Vale had hoped that he would spill everything out and reveal himself and save her time from digging every inch of his life from her tracker. Peter's eyes flash with guilt for a second before it disappears as he grumbled and cursed under his breath.
"You don't need to know. Just, cut off your relationship with Kyle as soon as possible," He said through gritted teeth.
"My relationship is none of your goddamn business!" Vale's eyes darken, raising her voice.
"You're my sister! Your safety is my responsibilities! You're my business!" Peter snarled.
The word safety and responsibility slapped her hard as it knocked home.
"Oh, really? Do we really have to do it like this? Fine! You poked your nose into my business, then, I'll do the same!″ Vale's face turns red as she breathes in and out. Trying to control her emotions.
"I'm your brother, and you will listen to me," Peter said before sprinting upstairs.
End of Flashback
Keith had looked up at her. And saw her frowning face. He didn't like it one bit.
"I guess this is it. We'll stay in contact, right?" Mason got up as Keith followed suit.
"Of course," Keith said as they shake hands and Mason leaves the living room.
Vale watched him in shock when he bumped hard into a maid, causing the maid to fall on the floor. Mason ignored the maid and continue walking as if nothing happens. Not even apologizing to the maid.
Vale sprinted and helped the maid up to her feet.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Vale asked her as she scanned the new maid. Yeah, definitely a new maid.
The maid nodded meekly before running into the kitchen and walk back out following where Mason had gone to with a tray of food and fruits. Vale looked at the new maid, curiously.
How did she know my brother needs it now? Vale squinted her eyes at the question in her head. It doesn't help that her brain conjured up different scenes on her mind.
Is my adult brother bullying a new maid?
Or is he punishing her?
What is he trying to do?
However, bumping the maid without apologizing is not lovely at all. Nope.
What curious Vale more is the maid isn't a regular maid. She is gorgeous. Like super beautiful. I crossed my arms as my head tilted, trying to figure out my two weird brothers.
Keith stepped behind her, and a bit surprised himself seeing Mason's attitude. He couldn't help but think Mason is childish.
What is he doing messing with a beautiful maid?
He shakes his head and turns to his girlfriend, who must be busy trying to relate to the situation just now.
"Can we go home now, babe? I need some massage and good sleep after all that business talk," He groaned as he rubbed the back of his head.
Vale thinks for a second before shaking her head.
"Can we go to my home instead?" Vale turns to look at him with hope.
"Why? Oh, you want some alone time with me?" Keith smirked at her teasingly.
"No! Get your head out of the gutters," Vale answered as they move to leave the house.
"Alya," She called out the maid's name when she saw her.
"Yes?" Alya, who's holding a basket of cloth, walked towards her.
"We'll be leaving now. Kyle got some business to do. Tell that to my family if any of them asked,"
"Yes, miss," Alya nodded.
Vale and Keith stepped out of the mansion and Vale couldn't help but feel like she forgot something. She shakes her head and continue walking towards Keith car.
They arrived at the mansion and Vale bit her lip thinking if she should register Keith fingerprints to her house. She looked at him and decided to log him with the fingerprint on the gates.
"Put your palm like this on here...No! Keep it on...I said, don't move! Three, two, and done! Ta-da! You have access to my house from now on,"
"Wow," Was all Keith could voice out from his head.
Vale chuckled as they walk inside the house. As soon as the door closed, Keith hugged her close to him.
"Thank you for trusting me," he runs his finger's through her hair and kisses her head.
Vale could only nod her head, not believing her mouth to speak. For if she does, she will crack up real bad. Her heart tugged.
'Why couldn't I trust him with what I am dealing right now? Oh yes, cause I'm scared he'd left me for betraying and lying to him. I want to be selfish a little bit more.'
They ate dinner before deciding to watch a movie.
"Why are you following me around? Don't you have work to do?"
Vale asked as they sat on the sofa facing the TV. Keith is hugging her close as she snuggled on him.
"I don't like leaving you alone, and yep, I got work to do. Guess, I'll do it tomorrow," Keith answered, causing Vale to sat up as she looked at him.
"You shouldn't delay any of your work. I don't want you getting sick and stressed because of the amount of work you're doing," Vale frowned.
"It's fine. I'm used to it," Kyle shrugged. But, his word sounds like he's trying to convince himself than actually feeling it.
Vale scoff. She knows from his eye twitch that he's lying, again. She knows the feeling of work loaded on their shoulders. Except, she doesn't have any legal business to add to the stress.
"Thank you for caring, babe. You'd make an amazing wife," Keith brought her close and kissed her forehead.
Vale closes her eyes as she savoured the feeling of being in his arms.
God, she don't want to part with him.
She remembered Peter's warning and lifted her face.
"Keith?"
"Hmm?" Keith answered absentmindedly. Lost in her eyes.
"Have you ever heard about the Blood Brother Gang?" She asked.
Keith looks away as he tries to remember the all too familiar name.
"It sounds familiar. But, I don't exactly remember much about the Blood Brother except they're a fast tracker and liked using a trick. Why?" Keith looked back down on her eyes, curious.
"Mmhm..just asking. What about Peter? Is he in any kind of gang?" Vale blurted her question causing Keith to stiffen.
"Why are you asking?" He narrowed his eyes on her.
"It seems like he knows what you really do in life. He told me to stay away from you," Vale replied sincerely with a frown.
"Damn it," he groaned as his head fall back.
"So, is he?" Vale asked impatiently.
"I don't exactly remember every member of every gang in and out of the country, babe," Keith sighed.
"You're right," Vale huffed.
They continued to chat in a lighter subject with Vale giggling and snuggling close to him as they watch the movie playing on the TV screen, unaware of the eyes watching in the dark.
