'You have been saying that you loved the ring in a thousand different phrases ever since you saw that ring on her finger," Gladys said beside her, Sapphire didn't know that someone could look so hot in a super short dress at an engagement party but she managed to rock it hard. Gladys rrolled her eyes at her friend who only pouted at her before turning back to the ring.
'Just how much was it worth? Did you ask him?" Luci asked as she perched herself on the beautiful chair that Sapphire was sitting, she also stared at it in admiration. Luci had gone for the dark look with her floor length back dress that was slit all the way up to her thighs, six inches black heels and dark make up.
'Yep, but he won't tell me." Sapphire said.
It was their engagement party that day and Sapphire had strictly informed Alexander that she only wants friends and family members in here, not every single person from the high society.
It was held in the Aldine mansion and Alicia had managed to decorate the residence so beautifully that Sapphire almost doubted that they were really at the Aldine mansion, the woman usually don't decorate so she thought she was bad at it and was a bit skeptical when she told Sapphire that she would be in charge of the decoration of the venue but she told her to go ahead anyway and the result greatly pleased her.
She made everything look out of a fairytale, yet so realistic at the same time.
Alyssa was the one that picked her dress, even though she was blown sideways when she saw the dress and Alexander told her that they shouldn't go out yet because he wanted to take her in that dress.
'I love her dress the most. How much fashion craze has Alyssa been keeping? See this? I am sure that it would trend as soon as those paparazzi flaunt it on their page, I am sure that it would cover on the engagement dress section of those girls magazines. You are going to become extra famous soon," Trisha said, running her hand over the fabric. Trisha for all her housewife and threatened wife glory had dressed up in a very beautiful silver low-back cocktail dress with gold fringes that showed her skin, only a single fabric made into a line was used to hold the dress together since it had no armless, she really looked beautiful but also different.
When Sapphire had asked her about it, she told her that it was time to let her husband and his family go.
'Ed wouldn't be happy to see you like this." Gladys said but Tiara only rolled her eyes.
'Do you think that he thinks about me? Look at him, over there with that secretary of his. She had her hands all over him, does he not have his own hand, why the fuck did she have to adjust his tie?" Tiara grumbled and they all laughed at her.
'You have been pining after him for all these years, why don't you tell him about your undying love?" Luci asked and Tiara laughed sarcastically.
'Why do you think darling?" Tiara asked. 'Because I have confessed to him twice already and he dismissed me coldly, it is quite shameless of me to continue pinning after him after he coldly informed me that he doesn't have interest in me. I think he likes that secretary," Tiara was also the one that answered her question herself.
'That secretary has a name you know?" Sapphire asked and Tiara rolled her eyes with a pout.
'I don't want to know that witch's name!" She said and returned to admiring the ring.
'Her name is Fiona," An unfamiliar voice said and Tiara turned to look since it was not any of her friends, her eyes widened a fraction when she saw that it was really Fiona standing behind her but she quickly kept herself under control.
'What are you doing here?"
'I would like to thank you for what you did for my family, Sapphire," Fiona said instead, she turned to Sapphire when she talked.
'There is really no need for that, Fiona. I did what I needed to do, besides your parents also came by earlier to say thanks, there is no need for you to show up too," Sapphire said with a smile and Fiona shook her head.
'I must do that, it is only right. Besides, Miranda asked me to say a thank you to you and that she is sorry for not attending your engagement party and that she won't attend your wedding too, she told him to give you this gift," Fiona replied with a polite smile and a grateful expression, she remained calm despite the fact that Tiara was scowling at her. Sapphire collected the beautifully wrapped box with thanks.
'Tell her that I love it," Sapphire said and Fiona arched a brow at her.
'You haven't opened the box yet."
'It is from her, a gesture from her, so I love it and I am rooting for her."
'So where is she now?" Luci asked.
'She pulled the ‘Sapphire stunt'" Fiona said with a teasing smirk and they all laughed nodding, every one of them knew what Sapphire's stunt was. 'Then, I would go," she continued and took a few steps away from them, she took a glass of champagne from a waiter and drank it elegantly.
'See? So fucking pretentious? I don't like that witch one bit. I am sure that she is the one that Jeremy likes, she is calm, elegant, girly and ‘knows how to cook'" Tiara said.
'I would go and talk to grandfather, then have a moment with the kids too," Sapphire said, she was staring at the kids that were chatting with their grandfather at the balcony of the main building and her friends nodded.
'Tiara, this pretentious witch would like to have a word with you PRIVATELY," Sapphire heard Fiona say to Tiara when she was away from them and she couldn't help the chuckle that fell from her lips.
"Mom!" Andrea yelled happily when she saw that it was Sapphire at the door and Sapphire smiled back at the kids, Andrew sitting on the chair and sipping on her juice, he smiled when he saw his mother too.
'Hi darlings," Sapphire greeted them. 'Hello, grandfather." She said to the Patriarch of the Aldine family who didn't look different from the last time she talked to him at this place, they were at the same spot and staring out at the entire space like the last time.
