"Hello, Luna," Jenny greeted as she got into an attack position. "Unfortunately, Alpha Draco won't be here to fight you. It's me for now. Ready?"
So Jenny was going to fight her? Why didn't Draco tell her this? Perhaps he wanted her to prepare and train hard to think she was going to fight the best. Jenny would be closer to her line of strength, which was understandable.
Anastasia took a deep breath as she began to act serious. Jenny seemed like a fair opponent. She would help her learn more techniques that a girl could use in serious and real situations. All she had to do was think hard and learn.
"I'm ready," Anastasia exhaled in a breath after a few moments.
Jenny wasted no time, she quickly attacked with powerful strikes. Anastasia quickly tried to defend herself as she kept dodging Jenny's attacks. They both shot a series of attacks and defense mechanism, giving bruises and wounds to both. When Anastasia found a good opening, she tried to tip Jenny's balance with a quick slide of her foot beneath Jenny's feet. But Jenny was also quick-minded, she bent over backwards and exhibited a vertical split, avoiding the fall.
"You gotta keep up, Luna," Jenny stated with a grin. She seemed totally like a different woman all of a sudden. She was fierce and uncanny. Anastasia heaved out of breath. If she wanted to prove herself, she had to keep up with Jenny. She looked around their surroundings, thinking of a way she could get the best to defeat her opponent. From the corner of her eyes, she saw a pile of knives in plain sight. It must've been there for them to use in case they ran out of strength.
Anastasia cracked her knucles and began raining attacks on Jenny. Her opponent was fast and flexible, she dodged all of the attacks as if she knew what Anastasia was going to do. Anastasia continued hitting and punching until she saw a raised tree root behind Jenny. She kept landing attacks, urging Jenny to move backwards. Until it happened. Jenny suddenly tripped over and fell on her butt.
Her eyes darkened as she heard silent laughs from the audience. Jenny quickly jumped up with her legs, standing up without any hassle. Her hair had fallen down her face and she brushed them back with her hand, taking a deep breath. A surge of newfound strength seemed to wash over her. Like the wind, she targeted Anastasia with a quick rocket punch, directed towards her main opponent.
Anastasia could see it coming and she was afraid she was going to take the attack with acceptance and no other choice. But she realized this wasn't what she was taught. If there was one thing that Alpha Draco never failed to teach her, it was to not give up no matter what. Pain would only be temporary. Wounds would heal in time. But time itself.. was the most important. This moment couldn't be brought back again so she had to think clearly.
Within a second, Jenny was in front of her. She prepared to launch her rocket punch to the side but Anastasia quickly moved her head just a bit to the other side and managed to dodge the fatal attack. Jenny didn't hide her surprise. Then Anastasia used the surprise to her advantage. She reached out to grip Jenny's neck, and Jenny fell towards the ground, head first. Jenny quickly tried to stand up but a knife to her throat stopped her from moving.
"Ooh," someone said, imitating the pain Jenny must've felt from the impact.
Anastasia pulled back, seeing Jenny's look of resign. Looking down at Jenny, she held out her hand. Jenny accepted it and she was pulled back to her feet. "You did well, Luna."
Anastasia smiled gently. "I had a good opponent."
"Great job, Luna," Edward spoke beside her. "You've really improved."
"Nice thinking," John commented, not forgetting to wink at her.
"Luna, you were so amazing!" Jacob said behind her. "And you were so cute and breathtaking! I really wanna hug you, can I do that?" He looked down at her with begging eyes.
"No," someone else answered firmly for her. Alpha Draco was suddenly there and he was in front of her in an instant. "You fought well, little mate."
"I learned from the best," she replied with a proud smile. "Am I good enough to fight you now?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Not unless you've fought a hundred werewolves and won," he stated seriously. "Which is, you don't have to. I'll always keep you safe."
"At least, I can protect myself now," Anastasia said in defense.
"Yes, you were quick-minded," Draco agreed.
"Who wants some dessert to celebrate our Luna's victory?" Amanda asked. Everyone quickly gathered around and followed Amanda towards the dining table. There was already a lot of prepared food and chocolate cakes.
"You prepared all of this for me?" Anastasia asked in disbelief.
"Well, I knew you'd win," she said with a wink.
Anastasia laughed. "Thank you, Amanda. You're always supporting me."
"My pleasure."
Everyone quickly sat down around the large table while some talked about the fight while eating. Anastasia looked at Draco when she felt his hand holding hers. "I'm so proud of you," he said, looking so deep in love. "Have I mentioned how lucky I am that I found you?"
She chuckled. "I think you have, indirectly. But perhaps you can show me tonight how lucky you are." She winked. "I'll wear my new sexy lingerie."
Draco's eyes darkened as he imagined her in a sexy strapped see through lingerie. "Don't tempt me," he warned.
"Alpha Draco," someone called, a maid walked towards them with a small envelope in her hands. "This letter was left in our mail box."
Alpha Draco took it and opened the envelope, bringing out a piece of paper. A statement was written by hand and it quickly sent a knife barely cutting Anastasia's heart as soon as she saw what was written. Her heart throbbed loudly and uncontrollably. She looked at the paper and read it over and over again.
