Chapter 12

Lily was in such agony that she was nearly going insane, without a moment's respite from suffering.
She couldn't take it anymore, feeling she had reached her breaking point.
"Come here," she called to them. "I'll tell you how to make Tara forgive you."
"Why should we believe you?"
"Don't believe me then. Fine. Tara will never forgive you."
Julian and Zachary exchanged glances, slowly nodded, and approached Lily.
"Come closer. If you don't come closer, I won't tell you."
As Julian approached, a triumphant smile spread across Lily's face.
In one swift motion, she plunged a hidden knife into Julian's stomach.
"Lily, you—"
"Didn't expect that, did you? I'm dying anyway—might as well take you with me."
Zachary rushed to support Julian, glaring at Lily with hatred.
"Lily, you're asking for death."
With that, Zachary violently drove the knife into Lily's stomach.
"Heh, I was going to die anyway," she whispered.
Lily's head fell back, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth.
She had been waiting for this day for so long.
A life worse than death might as well end in death.
Only Zachary remained, watching helplessly as Julian's breathing ceased.
"Julian… Julian!"
By the time I learned about this tragedy, Zachary had already been imprisoned for murder.
I heard that before his incarceration, he clutched our group photo, sobbing uncontrollably and repeating "I'm sorry" over and over.
He wanted to see me one last time, but I refused. Some bridges, once burned, can never be rebuilt.
My body has fully recovered, and my life has returned to normal.
I threw myself back into my passion for creating murder mystery games, transforming the story of the four of us into an immersive scenario.
I titled it "Who Is the Real Killer."
Based on my actual experiences and filled with dramatic twists, it quickly became one of the most popular murder mystery scenarios in the circuit.
People often lined up for hours just to play this particular game.
This time, I've even found professional success.
I smiled, held up the script with a victory sign, and pressed the camera button.
Look at that—my beautiful new life has finally begun.
