I balled my fists, not liking the situation. Things were starting to turn in a weird direction, and i have a bad feeling about all of it.
She smiles, giving a weird sense of relief in the atmosphere
It was then that I realized that she was just acting all this time, the crazed behavior she showed earlier was gone as if it was never there in the first place
This is insane.
"I'm not part of any divination, I'm willingly playing my part in my sister's plan." She bites her lower lip. "Did you know? the reason why Christal and Zyrus is the last pair, is because my sister and her mate planned to end all of it? That's why you all should really be thankful to my sister, it's because of her ability that she was able to break the loop!"
Loop?
My eyes widened, "This curse you are talking about.. just what exactly is it?"
She sighs, yet she explained it anyway
"The curse repeats whenever Alpha King Yasha's vessel kills the body where Gina resides. It's that very reason why the curse keeps going- and also the reason why alot of people have died because of it."
So the curse is about Alpha King Zyrus eventually killing Christal? That's how it ended for every curse?
It was all very confusing, as there are still a lot of questions that surfaced in my head- but what's the strangest thing was how she changed personality all of a sudden.
just what the hell is happening.
She looks like a different person.
"The curse you're talking about is very vast, i doubt you have the energy to tell me all about it." I said, giving up the thought to comprehend the complicated curse she was talking about.
I sat down in front of her.
"That's right, if I were to tell you everything, then it would take days." she sighs, "and I think I've already participated long enough in this exhausting plan of my sister."
I arched an eyebrow. "How does her plan ends?"
She shook her head, "Even i, don't know how her plan ends. She only told me pieces about it."
"Then what is this about her mate being on the plan? didn't her mate tried to kill your sister?" I asked, suddenly remembering her weird words earlier.
"Her mate was possessed at that time, even i can tell that. Thankfully, my sister already saw it coming that's why she was able to avoid her fate." She replied.
"But she died anyway right?" I scoffed.
She glares at me. "She died for a cause! It was part of their plans!"
"It's not a very clever plan, who gets themselves killed just to save other people that they won't know? It's a blunder of bullshit if you ask me." I rolled my eyes.
After all those years of watching werewolves, there was no way a werewolf couple would sacrifice their lives for mere strangers.
"People they don't know? My sister knew that Christal would be the next vessel, since it was her sister-in-law, how can she not help?" She smirks.
What?!
I couldn't contain my emotions, i gasped as i covered my mouth in dismay. Realizing the words that she just mouthed off me.
I can't believe it.
"You're.. saying, Jason of Bluestone pack is your sister's mate?!"

After leaving Maria, the Alpha king and i went straight ahead to his office, each step that he took was heavy enough for me to suspect that he was definitely in a bad mood.
We finally entered the office and he sat on his chair.
"Jaxon, give me all the reports the pack has been sending us."
My eye gleamed, finally!
Every pack has been sending us a complaint report ever since that incident in the Monthly trials, and we also haven't responded to any of it due to the Alpha king's unstable condition.
Good thing he's back again!
I got too excited and actually ran to my office to get all of it, carefully wrapping the documents on my arms as i hurried back to him.
I placed the documents down at this desk and he frowned at it.
"That's .. a lot?" He tilts his head.
"Well Alpha king Zyrus, it's been hectic ever since the Monthly trials, we've been getting reports from all around the continent- and the most urgent is the notice of the continental meeting, they've been asking for your presence."
He slides down a bit from his seat, a bit frustrated. "Continental meeting? aren't they going a bit too far?"
I sighed, "Alpha King, it's the first time the vampires ever colluded with anyone to harm us-"
He slams his fist on the desk, "Harm?! No one died that day!"
I sighed.
"It's not just that, it's probably because of your relationship with a demigod that they requested an explanation," I replied with a worried face.
The relationship between the Alpha King and luna Christal that was publicly exposed during the Monthly trials also turned many suspicions towards our pack. Since they don't really know that she was a werewolf before a demi-god, many people condemned her presence.
I mean it's unheard of that a demi-god participated in the Monthly trials, what's worse is that she was spotted with a vampire.
Everything's a mess.
"I don't know what Christal was thinking, she deliberately exposed our relationship that day and i played along with her." He clicks his tongue, irritated.
My eyes widened, "What? what do you mean you played along?!"
What is this now!? Is he saying that all that happened in the Monthly trials was all an act?
I covered my mouth in shock.
"It's just as you heard," He sighs. "No matter how much i think about it, it's impossible for her to suddenly change objectives- when in the first place she was trying to make me remember her."
"It's not impossible right? she can really just change feelings you know." I shot back.
He shook his head. "No, if she really did, why did she make me drink her blood? Because of that, she was able to break the seal on my mind."
He shuts his eyes. "I know her, she's a hard-headed woman, there's no way she gave up on me that easily."
I groaned, remembering that the Alpha King almost killed her. But i chose not to complain anything about it, since i hold my life important after all.
"I don't know alpha King, I like her as our luna, but is it even allowed to take in a demi-god?" I said my eyebrow furrowing in dismay.
"Her blood is still that of a werewolf. It's the demi-god soul within her that's masking her werewolf presence."
I arched an eyebrow.
So it was because she made him ingest her blood that he was also able to figure that out?
As soon as he said that, i sighed in relief, putting my palm on my chest. It was good that luna Christal still had her wolf, since if she hasn't it would cause more trouble to appoint her as our luna.
Well, it's not like she's not causing us a problem at this very moment.
"So what's our next move? Do we attend the continental conference?" I asked, anticipating his decision.
I know what's he's thinking right now. he wants to save luna Christal at this very moment, but doing so he will leave the pack vulnerable to enemies, what's more, we'll be officially be branded as enemies.
And that's not a good thing.
His eyes didn't falter, it was filled with the same determination as it has a while ago, and just by seeing that expression of his, made it clear to me what his next step was.
I know the Alpha King is not a fool, but i do know that he'll do everything to get her back even if he was to sacrifice everything he has.
I closed my eyes, holding in the anger, i didn't like how things were turning out just because of a single she-wolf.
Is this it?
We'll really become enemies against our own?
"Tell your group and Michael's group to prepare at dawn, we'll infiltrate the Mist territory-"
The door opens abruptly, the Alpha king was cut off his sentence as the banging of the door echoed around the room. Syrena stood exhaustedly while trying to catch her breath.
She lets go of her dress. "Alpha King, we need to talk!"
"Syrena, what is it now?" The Alpha King says, irked.
She finally comes in and closed the door behind her, striding towards the spot beside me.
She bows, "I heard about you planning to launch an attack in the vampire's domain- and it's not a good idea!"
The Alpha King Zyrus glares at her.
I nudged her using my elbow, leaning in, i whispered. "Are you crazy? you're actually debating with the Alpha King right now?!"
"This concerns a lot of people! it also concerns you alpha King!" She turns back to the Alpha King, her voice loud enough to be heard.
"I didn't ask for your opinion." He growls.
At that time, even i couldn't believe that she had the audacity to frantically scream her lungs at the alpha king right now. The situation was crazy enough and she was just adding fuel to the fire.
But everything took a turn when she said her next words,
"if you go there right now, she'll really kill you!"
