He hissed at his injury, touching it.
"What's wrong? why didn't you avoid it alpha king?" I said, licking the blood.
He can avoid such a low-level attack, so what the fuck is he doing right now?
"Stop this right now," He growls.
"Stop? after all i did until now, you're telling me to stop?" I laughed at his ridiculous statement. "I already told you, this is a deathmatch so please take it seriously."
"That is.. if you still want to see your MATE after this." I grinned, my whole body oozing from magic. I scowled at him, my canines showing, i let out a powerful mana surge enough to push any objects around us in force.
He leans in, putting a hand in front of him as the gush of wind worsened around us. "Look, i didn't intend to kill you earlier! my wolf was instinctively reacting to what you did! I never planned to hurt you!"
What is he saying? He's actually saying sorry?!
'He's ruining our plans! What are we gonna do? i never thought he'll forgive you that easily!' Gina exclaims in a panicked manner.
[Damn it, even i can't think what he's thinking right now! i thought he was close to killing me, looks like he's surrendering first!]
I clenched my jaw, irritated at the sudden turn of events. I worsened the surge of magic surrounding us and relied on my pent up anger to level up the situation. I never planned on taking it this far, but since he's being submissive- i can't let him do that!
"YOU SHUT UP! NOT ALL MISTAKES CAN BE FORGIVEN!" i yelled, my words laced with venom.
Expecting him to dodge my magic, i threw about tens of offensive spells towards him yet what i saw was totally different.
My eyes widened.
He received them all, he stood firmly on his spot without moving a muscle.
'No!' Gina whimpers.
He stumbles, as he stands on one knee to support his whole body, he coughs up a good amount of blood on the ground. At that time, i still couldn't believe that he wasn't getting angry at me, he even received all my attacks like an idiot.
Has he really gone dumb?!
I stopped all of the surge around us, all the magic being absorbed to my body once again. I balled my fists in anger. "What are you doing! Do you really want to die shamefully?!"
"Christal." He huffs out.
I flinched, hearing my name.
"i don't know what you're planning. But i did what you wanted me to do right? did you want to be my enemy in front of the whole werewolf society? i acted according to your wishes, so can you just stop this now? no one is watching anymore." He says in a low voice, his head still facing the ground.
W..What?
Did i hear things right?!
I was so shocked that my face couldn't hide my emotion. I stared at him before snapping back into my act, guilty that i almost fell on his trap to lure me in.
I can't let him sway me!
"What exactly are you trying to say? I already made it clear that i will kill you!"
He chuckles, blood on his mouth. "Come on, do you take me for an idiot? do you expect me to believe that you suddenly turned vengeful?"
"WHY NOT?! ANY WOMAN WOULD TURN VENGEFUL AFTER BEING BETRAYED!"
He sighs. "At that time.. i wasn't like myself. I was still confused because of her scent! i never intended to betray you."
He supports his shoulder, forcing himself to stand up.
"Lies! you even wanted to banish me from your pack!" I cried. "Do you know what i felt?! i felt so shitty! you even called her your mate!"
She's just an impostor!
"I had a plan!" He sighed in frustration. "You were clearly in danger! i had a bad feeling that Brianna and Amber's situation is somehow connected to what's happening! The mate pull with Amber is too suspicious, i can't trust it."
What.. what am i supposed to say?!
'Calm down! you have to get your act together! we can't stop now! we have to pull this off perfectly, to do that, you must severe ties with him right now. Make it so realistic that even he will act according to plan!' Gina shouts.
[But.. can't we just tell him the plan?]
'What? if you tell him the plan he would be the first to disagree with you. You do remember what's the end of all of this.. right?' She says in a sad tone.
I frowned, that's right.
There is an end to this.
"Shut up, you're not changing my mind! i don't believe you won't kill me after i tried to harm your MATE. What if you're just cheating me to make me submit to you again?! what then?! you'll kill me!" I glowered, gathering offensive magic to my hand once again.
I'm sorry Zyrus.
I know you're trying to reconcile, and i finally understood why you acted like that in the past few days. But i can't stop the plan mid-way. Right now, it is the only chance for us to end this unending curse.

"What are you doing? do you really want to die?!" I yelled, seeing him unfazed at my threats.
He just stood there as if he's gonna receive everything i throw at him.. again.
i clenched my jaw in anger.
No.. you have to fight back Zyrus!
"So you really want to kill me?" He says with empty eyes.
"What else! i can't wait for you to die!" I shot back, trying my best to provoke him.
"Then do it." He says in a serious tone. "Kill me right now if it's really part of the plan."
I winced, my heart tightening at the thought that he was going as far as to tell me to kill him, it's like we suddenly went back to the past. When he always thought of my wel-being first rather than himself.
I suddenly realized that Zyrus is responding to my feelings even without the mate pull.
Damn it.

I fell on my knees, stopping everything that i was about to do right now. All i could feel was a mixture of happiness and despair. I felt happy that he never really intended to kill me earlier, yet the despair that was swallowing me whole was due to the plan that Gina and i decided to do.
Gina whimpers in sadness.
Facing the ground, i covered my face with my hands when my tears started to fall. The overwhelming emotion inside of me scared me to the point that i couldn't retaliate any further from my spot.
[Gina.. i can't do this. Do we really have to do this? he's infront us! he's willing to accept us!]
'Christal.. we already agreed about this didn't we? even if he accepted us, then what about the curse that awaits us? i finally decided to devote myself to you. If you stop now, the ending will be the same. and i don't want to see that! i don't want to see you get killed!'
I grit my teeth.

It's just that..There wasn't a day i haven't dreamed of this moment! Ever since he lost his memories, i've always thought that we can still make it work without the mate pull! to leave everything behind us and start a new one.
I already gave up on that.. so why?

"Christal." He reaches out to me, his footsteps approaching.
While i faced the ground, i lowered myself even further to hide my face. Both of my hands trembled in despair as i didn't know what to say to him. My emotions were spiraling in chaos that i was so scared that i might say something that could ruin our plans.
He stood infront of me, "I know you're mad because i didn't clarify enough and for that i'm sorry. So don't do this any more okay? i'm getting a bad feeling that you're planning something to run away from me."
Run away? i've been doing it all my life. I even got tired and eventually fell in love with you. I thought that everything would be okay after that! but my past wouldn't let me.
Even this damned curse stopped everything that could possibly make us happy Zyrus!
He kneels down, ushering me to lift my head, he tried to touch my arm but i only slapped his hand away.
"Don't touch me." I mumbled.
That's when he snapped.
"Christal, stop being stubborn! You already made everyone your enemy and now you're refusing protection?! What do you want me to do?!" he yells in frustration.
