"Isn't this something that he should know?" I said irked.
After interrogating the Human, we already got into the conclusion that he was only sent to rely a message without any bad intentions towards our pack, we left Maria and this is the situation i am right now, 2 damn Dark Witches of my own species is trying to stop me from telling The AlphaKing.
"Something he should know? Have you lost your goddamn mind Syrena?? That girl causes calamity and can only poison AlphaKing's Zyrus judgements!"
"What?" I said in disbelief. "Christal was a good influence on him. Didn't you all see how kind he was whenever he was with her-"
"We know, that's why we can't tolerate him being like that- weak and kind! We don't need a ruler like that! We are Dark Witches not a kind species! Love is poison to us."
I cannot believe this, even though i knew the nature of my own species, i still couldn't comprehend whenever i interact with them, their principles and personality was something unpleasant to me, their minds and thoughts were completely diverse from mine.
"Then what? You want us to lie to our king? What would you report to him?!" I said trying to make them back out.
They laughed. "Are you seriously asking us that? It's a rather simple act actually, we just alter the human's memory to our own liking."
My eyes widened. "That's going too far, the AlphaKing will eventually realise that you hypnotized the human."
They looked a bit taken back after realising that the AlphaKing could easily detect magic just like i said, looking at me with annoyance as they hurriedly left me alone after spitting some insults towards me. I sighed in relief. I held the cloth of my skirt and headed towards the Kingdom. As nervous and scared i was before, it still the same situation whenever i'm dealing with Christal and The AlphaKing, knowing that i've become their cupid somehow along the way.
When i reached the door where the AlphaKing was currently at, i breathed in a bit of air to relax my mind. I opened the door and saw the King standing beside a window, looking like his mind was wandering off somewhere.
"AlphaKing, i've come to report what we found out about the human trespasser."
He looked down then looks at me with a calm face. "Go ahead."
I bowed my respect and entered the room, i was nervous of how things will turn out if i tell him the message Herus of StonePack tried to rely on us. Nevertheless i stood on my own two feet and prepared for the worst.
As i was about to blurt out everything, i was interrupted by the current Queen, Clara. "Zyrus! The elders wanted me to tell you that they require your presence." She smiles, while AlphaKing Zyrus ignores her.
"We'll discuss this later." The AlphaKing orders me, i nodded in exchange before he left me alone with the Queen.
It's been two years since Christal left, and after that The AlphaKing decided to eradicate any species that may cause harm once again in the Pack, he turned into a busybody and distracted himself with Pack affairs, even eradicating traitors inside our pack. But even after two years has passed and new allegiance and oaths were taken by the werewolf society to the RedBloodMoon, there was still one thing that blocks the AlphaKing's path of Victory- and that's the Elders.
A lot of us has noticed how corrupted the Elders has come to be, they used their own powers to do evil deeds and even going as far as using the Pack's name to spread fear among nations. Legends and myths from the RedBloodMoon came to life after the Elders continued to manipulate the Alphas that they guided along the path. Except for the first AlphaKing Yasha who disobeyed the elders and rebelled against their own species. But no one knows why the werewolf society fought to kill AlphaKing Yasha- is it because of dark magic?? Or it really was just a myth?
And if i'm not wrong, AlphaKing Zyrus is planning something against the Elders.
"Um Syrena?" Clara speaks up, i was cut off my own thoughts and looked at her.
"Yes QueenLuna?"
"What were you gonna report to Zyrus??" She asks.
So she heard.
"I am truly sorry but i cannot disclose confidential reports to anyone besides the AlphaKing." I replied.
For a second, i was sure i saw her eyebrows furrowed and her eyes rolled in annoyance, before going back at her usual self. "Why is everything not allowed? Why does he disregard me like this? It's been two years!" She said in despair.
The shadow of desperation and insecurity followed her everywhere that anyone could see how dry she looks right now, her lack of sleep and the weight that she has lost. I was truly feeling sorry for her.
"I still can't say it, you should talk it out with the AlphaKing-"
"NO! YOU ARE GOING TO TELL ME!" She shouts. I was taken back at the sudden increase of temper that a simple issue caused her. The bad effect of love was starting to drag her down and even her own soul that was so pure when i first met her, was slowly dissipating. "H-HE! no matter what i did! He never took notice of me! Even when i loved him this much! Why and how can he be so cruel?"
Something was really off about her.
I narrowed my sense of detection and closed my eyes, feeling the air and tried to track any harmful omen that was sticking close to us- and just as i feared. There was a nightcrawler hiding inside her body, it was consuming her rapidly.
How long has this been going on?? For a NightCrawler to be already inside her must only mean that it's been there a long time- months it could be.
"QueenLuna! Please calm down, you need to come with me!" I said and held her hand.
But she shoved me away. "Don't touch me! I'm not done talking to you!-"
The door suddenly opens, the AlphaKing enters with a pissed off face and i sighed in relief after avoiding any arguments with The QueenLuna. "What did i tell you about coming here Clara?" He growled angrily.
"I-I was just talking to Syrena."
He growled. "I heard everything." My eyes widened when he suddenly held the QueenLuna's face and lifted her above the ground, she screams in fear. "Didn't i tell you to fuck off ?? How many more times should i remind you?"
"AlphaKing! I'm sorry to interrupt but the Queen is being bothered by something- by a Nightcrawler that may explain her behavior nowadays."
He looks at me, not a hint of surprise as he lets go of her. "I know."
What? He knew???
"I beg your pardon? it could kill her-"
He growled at me viciously that i could easily tell that he was telling me to leave right away or i receive death. My arms shook in fear every time i see the AlphaKing's attitude like this, he has always been like this but why did i thought he changed? Probably because he became kinder when his mate was around- but right now, the AlphaKing is still the same old Demon from the tales of The RedBloodMoon.
Here goes nothing.
"AlphaKing! Christal is alive!"
