"I though you're not coming." She hissed at his own brother.
"Well i can't not come." He responded. "He'll kill an alpha who doesn't obey his order."
"How immature." She rolled her eyes.
"Not immature, it's actually the opposite. " he smirk, a little bit annoyed that he was praising him.
"What? You don't make sense." She stops, turning his heels to face tge men infront of her.
"Look this event has always been a loop hole for attacks, since anyone can enter redbloodmoon for 1 night. That's why he orders every alpha to be present, if not, he will see that as a threat that someone will attack his land, first blaming the pack that didn't come." Herus finally spoke after entering the room.
Well shit, she thought.
"Fuck then how are you gonna do the plan if you're here?" She points at his brother.
"I'll find a way out before the event ends." He smiles. "Herus comes with me.
"What?" Me and Herus says at the same time. Christal feeling a bit off by the sound of his brother's voice.
"You can't be serious right? You're leaving her alone? What if she runs off?" Herus angrily spats at Jason.
She rolls her eyes at them.
"She won't, you'll see." Jason smiles again, reassuring Herus that Christal won't betray them. But little did they know that Christal was already planning to escape as she listened to their conversation.
Herus couldn't believe what her brother was suggesting but decided to ride along with it. "Fine, but if she runs off, i get to tame her down." He glares at Christal.
Christal not feeling threatened by Herus, stuck her togue out to annoy him. "Whatever, so who's gonna do the cueing?"
"You." Jason says.
Herus and me once again, turned at his direction in shock.
"WHAT?" Herus says, raising his voice in disbelief. "You're giving her the order of initiation?!"
Yeah what he said, has my brother gone mad? She thought.
Jason ignored their reaction and turned a heel. "Let's go Herus." He signaled, a smile on his face plastered while his back faced the two. He slowly breathed air as he intakes the smell of victory that he was already seeing, with that they left along with Herus, who still couldn't believe what Jason was thinking.
She sighs and continued to walk towards a long table.
She didn't knew.
But her charisma and beauty as she walked catches alot of attention. Making her a prey for unmated wolves around her. Not many people have seen her and actually even talked to her, that's why some of them couldn't figure out the gorgeous werewolf that was standing before them, many of the concluded that she came from another country.
As she reaches the long table, she took a glass of tequila and quickly drank all of it. Feeling the burn on her throat, she smiles at the taste.
She was not aware how she will initiate, and she doesn't even want to start the initiation of war at all, she thought that she will let the event finish first before she would signal the guys to attack, since there were alot of children too in this place.
"Why the fuck am i even doing this?" She blabbered as she drank another glass.
I just wanted to see him, she thought.
As Jason and Herus quietly exited the building, herus' curiosity led him to stop and look at Jason in anger. "You know of all people she'll run away again." He lowly growled.
Jason also stops, looking at Herus he smirks. "I know her."
"Then why would you give her the authority?! This plan will fail!"
He laughs. "You speak like that coz you don't know kid. Don't talk shit if you don't know sht."
Herus growled. "I'm not settling for this, i'm taking her back." He turns away from Jason and continued to walk towards away from him if not only for the next words that Jason said.
"I gave her the authority because of all poeple i know she hates being betrayed."
Herus eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
"This event is not ordinary event. It's actually a celebration for the AlphaKing and QueenLuna's reign."
CHRISTAL's POV
An Hour has passed after my brother and that bastard left me here alone. to be honest, it's been really..boring.
well how could i be entertained if i had no companions to talk to? i'm not even good at socializing might as well make myself invisible. well guys has been pestering me around earlier about starting a comversation with them, but i'm not interested.
'you're just waiting for our mate aren't you.' Gina teases.
you know what's always in my mind what's the point of answering you?
'sometimes you should speak out the words you always wanted to say.' she says in a warm tone.
i frowned.
it doesn't work thay way, in my case at least.
"another one please." i said to the bartender, who genuinely taking the glass and pouring seconds. i stared at the glass for a while, overthinking situations that may occur.
shit is probably gonna happen if i signal them to attack this place.
like hell i would? how stupid can they get?
"what does a lovely lady like you seem to be troubled with?" he asks out of a blue startling me.
i straighten my back out for a bit. "i'm fine."
"my wife once said that when women tend to say they're fine it is the moment they're not."
i smiled, how indifferent his manner of speaking is too genuinely kind. "You have gotten yourself a great wife."
"i have, so is your problem about relationships kid?"
"Maybe." i laughed, he just speaks like a father and he even called me a kid. well he does look kinda aged.
"did you fight with your mate?"
"yes it was a really huge fight." i said sighing and sipped on my drink. "there was too much scars to deal with."
"that's how love usually is, there is always pain but it doesn't mean it'll end there."
i felt depressed, feeling the soreness of my eyes, i bent my head down a bit. "but i don't want him or me to be in pain, it's too much that it made me ran away."
he sighs. "running away is a cowardly act i don't think it suits such a confident woman like you."
"you're right." i said laughing it off.
"enjoy the party, well it happens annually but i'm sure it won't disappoint you. although.. they made this occasion a bit special than others."
special?
the bartender guy talk to me while serving other people on the table, my mind still blank from what he said. i don't know what is it that's making me this uncomfortable.
but i'm sure, this night will not go smooth.
"Christal?"
i turned around to see Syrena standing on her feet her hands on her mouth. "what are you doing here?"
"long time no see bitc- i mean witch." i smiled at her.
"you shouldn't be here." she comes toward me, gripping my hand and dragging me away from the crowd, we entered a small room as she locks the door behind us.
"Luna this is not a good time-"
"I'm not you're Luna, stop calling me that already." i glared at her, feeling a bit resentment towards the memories.
"leave please, it's not safe for you anymore. i tried my best hiding your location after he woke up then you walk here so casually!"
"i don't need you to worry about me! i can handle him."
"so you really plan to meet him?!"
"so what if i do?" i glared at her.
"you don't understand!" she says gripping both of my shoulders.
i was a bit taken back from the way she spoke and the manner of her actions, she looked really worried. my eyebrow raised, my curiosity rose why she hid my location.
well probably because he hates me now.
so she's the reason why my mate didn't pursue me after he awakened.
"shut up. don't even try to stop me." i scowled at her. leaving the room as i slammed the door behind her. i felt my anger rose as my temper did too, it was starting.
misfortunes are coming.
but i didn't expect it to be this soon.
"We thank you for coming to this event, as the redbloodmoon celebrate an important occasion in history." The MC suddenly speaks up, the audience clapped with delight.
but i just stared at them, fools.
but believe me when i say i already regretted laughing after that, my eyes widened as i saw my mate with someone as they entered the stage, the masses quickly shocked at the sight.
"AlphaKing and QueenLuna."
They stood side by side as they walked towards us, the girl was around my age as she gave us a warming smile making me feel uncomfortable. My stare not leaving my mate's eyes, i couldn't believe what i was seeing. i felt betrayed and agony while staring at them, my heart ached as if someone was taking it out.
