  CARLY's POV

Oh how i missed Christal, does she still hate me? I was so lost in my own thoughts that i forgot that i was in conference with the pack members, you could call it an academy for werewolves. This is where we learn physical and mental skills.

"Carly!" Ms. Giry shouts, her voice echoing around the room.

  "Yes ma'm!" I stood shocked, i can't believe i've dozed off.. again.

"Staring at the ground isn't what we teach you here, listen or get out of my class." She growls.

  "Yes ma'm." I apologized.

After humiliating me she quickly got back to topic and everything went back to normal. Ms. Giry teaches History and i'm very bad at it. It's because every time Christal wants to spend time with me in the past, it was always her Ms.Giry's time so i couldn't keep up with the lessons.

  I really miss her.

"This is not something i should teach you but i think every young pack members of the pack needs to know the mistakes the BlueStone had done in the Past."

  Mistakes?

Everybody suddenly rose into noisiness, each of them giving each other their opinions. I sat back quietly, anticipating the topic her mouth spouted.

"It was the time of the 2nd Great Pack Wars. I know everyone knows the 1st Great Pack war but i'm sure you have never heard about the 2nd happening."

Yes, it was taught to us from an early ages. It was about King Yasha and the rebellion that stood in front of him. He's like the current Alpha King- no. He's the very first Alpha King in the whole species. But everyone turned against him because he disobeyed the Moon Goddess and fell in love with a DemiGod.

It actually sounded like a Myth, because it was recorded that every werewolf tried to kill him. No one knew the real story but many knew that there must be some kind of mistake in the records.

I mean, why is falling in love such a sin?

Still it shocks me that there was another pack war that we were not informed of. When did it happen? Was it the same calamity as the first one?

"Unfortunately we were the reason why the second Great Pack war happened once again. At that time, the kingdom that we all know of is RedBloodMoon pack, that was always has been the strongest pack in the continent. However, the stronger that they get the more enemies they make." She sighs.

Lucky i wasn't a RedBloodMoon pack. I wonder how they treat their pack? Is the king brutal and merciless? Thinking about it makes me worried all of a sudden.

But did she just say we were the reason why the second Great Pack War started all over again?

  SYRENA's POV

i run while my hands lifted the sides of dress, trying not to trip over. The clock was ticking and when i heard the news that Christal collapsed in Delta, i couldn't resist to ask them. Although They reported that it happened when the Alpha King was with her.

There could be only one reason.

Not intending to knock, i rushed my way in and saw christal lying on the bed once again. The Alpha King still caressing her face, he looked at me warily.

"Alpha King. I heard what happened." I took a stroll towards them.

"Yes." He said, guilty that he blamed himself for it.

  "Before she collapsed what happened?"

He bitterly chuckled. The air around him turning into anger and deception. While his hand was over his head he looked at me with anger. "Is touching her part of the effects of Memoriae?"

  "What? Touching is not forbidden-"

"Well i KISSED HER! And right now she's lying on the bed! Again!" He said frustrated.

I don't understand. Why would kissing her can be the cause of collapsing? If she collapsed there's only the reason of memories. It had something to do with memories.

"If that's the case, then maybe you triggered her memories."

  He raised an eyebrow.

I gulped, my next words would really be a shock to him, especially because she is the mate of the Alpha King. And urges are really hard to control.

  "Why would that trigger?!"

"Feeling loved by someone.." i trailed off. "You loving her.. makes her remember feelings from the past."

I knew from the moment i told him about it. He knew the meaning of the words i let out. That He's worst enemy that could ever be.. was Christal's greatest weakness.

He didn't know, because the last time he asked.. i refused. But i didn't think this will happen very soon, as if it's a small thing for it to go by. It makes me think that there are more great dangers facing her.

"A guy." He growled, his eyes turning darker. "Who?" He commands.

  I gulped. "I-I don't know."

  A lie.

I'm not a werewolf with great hearing abilities but i heard his knuckles clicking pretty well. I think he should be near a wall because i don't like being a punching bag for Pete's sake!

His eyes shifted to Christal as he took deep breathes. Even i know that there was so anger in him but you shouldn't underestimate an Alpha King. He knows how to control himself, i can see it. See that he was taming his wolf.

"Is he dead?" He asks, not looking at me.

I shifted my eyes into the ground. Should i tell him? The details weren't clear but i think he's alive. Even though her memory illustrated that he died in her arms.

I shed a tear, i can't believe i felt sadness remembering that nightmare she had to live on.

  "So he is." He confirms.

There was only one solution to prevent this thing from happening again. The Alpha should understand, but i think this method is too cruel for mates. Besides i think Christal is slowly adapting into The Alpha King's embrace.

  "Alpha King." I called out.

  "What?"

"I know of a method. To prevent her from triggering memories."

Well she would have to bear with it, until she awakens, she must be guided and taught the right things in life. Fixing her should be the best method for me to do.

  He didn't say anything.

"If you're quiet, that must mean you know the method already."

  He sighs. "No. I can't."

"I know it's gonna be hard. You should remember that i sealed her memories, you need to take that as a chance to get to know her and you. But don't be too.." i said worriedly. "Affectionate?"

"Isn't there any other way?" He scoffed. "I can't treat her like that."

"What's the problem with it? You always treat other people merciless and cold." I said, my chin up. My braveness showing.

  "But she's not just someone."

I looked at him, he's smiling.

"She's the most beautiful thing that happened to me, losing her would only mean death."

He must have noticed my eyes giving him pity eyes, but i couldn't help it. He's her mate but he doesn't deserve her or vice versa. They were both calamities.

Each of them having dark secrets kept hidden for years.

  "I know. It's really interesting."

  "What is?" He ask.

"Mates. Mates has always amazed me."
