Chapter 32

  CHRISTAL's POV

I opened the door and headed towards where the witch stays, my two guards tailing me from behind. It was around midnight and the argument that i tried to place into my mate ended just 3 hours ago.

"You know, going at this late hour wouldn't do us good Luna." Daniel says out of the blue.

"Then both of you can guard the house i'm staying at." I fakely smiled. Kiel glared at him while Daniel just shrugged it off.

How could i not go out in the middle of the night? My mate just revealed very disturbingly to me, he doesn't have a name? Anymore? What does that mean? Is it literally or not? Only one person can answer my question.

  The witch, Syrena.

After passing around civilians and stores we finally found the place where Syrena is staying at, near at the Delta training grounds. Standing infront of the door, i hesitantly knocked on the door, believing that my mate would come back and see me not there, he'll go mad.

"Syrena?" I said while i knocked.

I knocked about five times already, and she still hasn't come to open the door? Annoyed, i was about to knock harder if it didn't open automatically, without anyone opening it.

  "Now that's witchy." Daniel chuckles.

I was about to step in if it wasn't for the instinct that told me to stop, quickly pulling both of them backwards. At the same time, an arrow from both sides came shooting at the tip of the entrance.

"Now that's demonic." Daniel chilly hugs himself.

"Perhaps she doesn't know we're here.. or rather she's just not here." Kiel says.

I nod. "Yeah, if she knew, her traps wouldn't be on."

We stepped back and stayed silent for a few minutes. Where could she be? The stores? The pack house? Or the forest. We were all cut with our thoughts when the door closed with grace, as if not one of its traps just tried to kill this idiots.

"Well its no use trying to barge ourselves right in, i say we find her." I said facing both of them.

They looked at each other with doubts. "In the middle of the night?"

"Yes in the middle of the night." I rolled my eyes. "Well are you in or out?"

"This isn't really our duty." Daniel whispers.

"What is your duty? Is it not protecting me?"

"That and of course we can't lead you to something that we would've to protect you." Kiel adds.

  I crossed my arms. "Chicken."

"What?" Daniel shocked at me. "We are not chickens!"

"Chicken." I repeated with a smirk.

Kiel must've seen through me because he face palmed himself while observing daniel's idiocy reaction. He budges him. "Idiot, don't fall-"

"You leave us no choice! We shall find that witch and protect you." Daniel salutes, earning a sigh from Kiel.

I chuckled. Well that was easy.

"Well looks like you aren't chickens at all." I winked at kiel.

After that trickery that i pulled off to get them to come with me, we started our search with the nearest place that we could think of, the CenterCity. The Center city is where most of this pack's civilians stay at. The stores and all the firms are all located there.

In other words, it's where most people in the pack are.

And where i caused trouble by beating werewolves stupidly.

"Wait." I said stopping them. "I need a hood."

  "What for?"

"Well i made.. some enemies? Just bring me a hood!"

Kiel crosses his arms. "Well i've heard from daniel. But you're part of the pack now-"

"Blahblah! Just get me a hood. I'll wait here." I said when i sat at my place.

They doubtly looked at each other before nodding, they took my command and began walking towards the CenterCity. They'll buy of course.

I know i'm part of the Pack now, but i just don't want to cause another misunderstanding where i'll have to fight again and my mate would start to argue with me about trying to escape. I had enough of that bullshit. I need to earn his trust.

"NO! You expect me to believe that you were just touring around the Pack?! You tried to escaped multiple times!"

  Yep i do.

While waiting for them to get back, i somehow thought of the Red hair girl and the weapon she told me about. I've never experienced such situations like this because i've been always locked inside my old pack house. My eyes shifting and trying to focus my sense on the surrounding. I tried to track if anybody would be here.

I gasped, a male. Running towards this place, a kilometer away. I quickly stood up and hurriedly climb up a big tree beside me. Bending the leaves so it'll cover me. Well if he has amazing sensing abilities he can track me. I'm just hoping he's not here for me.

  I hope he passes through.

He was very near already when i tracked another person on the opposite side, a familiar scent. It stank evilness so it must be a Dark Witch, Syrena. It matches her Scent.

The guy arrived and i couldn't believe what i saw. He was the guy i saw who brutally wounded someone at the entrance of Delta. I felt my breath hitch as his face screamed familiarness to me.

And this guy is no ordinary guy, i carefully sat on the branch, trying not to move. Why did he stop here?! Just go pass bastard! Or maybe he's gonna pee or something.

He started to look around, i was right he did detect someone was here with him. So he did come for me?! Oh shit i can't face that guy, he's dangerous. My foot suddenly slipped, making a sound that echoed around the forest.

  Shit.

  He growled towards my direction.

I was about to run off if it wasn't for Syrena that came popping out just below me, she walked towards from the tree i was in. I sighed, thankfully the guy took the bait. He must've thought it was her scent he was getting.

But who knows, maybe he's here for Syrena.

"What is a witch doing here in the middle of the night?" He spoke, not angry but somehow polite.

"Same goes for you. Delta trainees shouldn't be wandering the pack at this kind of hour." She shot back.

  Ha! What she said.

Duh. Of course i'm on her side.

"Well is a night walk such a bad thing?" He says innocently.

"Yes it is, i know why you're here."

"Do you now?" He said, a hint of persuasion coming from him.

"Following a werewolf scent? Give it." Syrena walks towards him and gives her hand out.

  "Give what?"

"The cloth." She says, i looked questionably towards her, what cloth?

The fact that they stared at each other for a few minutes didn't bother me at all but when he did hand over the cloth she was talking about, i almost fell on this tree.

That cloth came from my shirt! I glanced behind me and saw that there was a small tear of clothing at the low part of my shirt. It probably got stuck on a branch when we were running towards here.

"Well looks like your night walk ends here, go back before i inform the superiors in Delta."

He didn't say anything in response and he fled off, but before he did i saw a glimpse of anger on his face as he left. I didn't know Syrena can bring such a personality. she looked like an angry instructor.

  Or maybe a grandma.

  "Is he far now?"

"Yea his very far-" i replied.

Wait. Did i just answer back?! So she knew i was here all along!

"What are you doing here Luna? And in the middle of the night?" She sighs as she faced upwards to me.

I jumped off and gracefully landed on the grass. "I was looking for you."

She raises an eyebrow. "It must be very urgent."

"Yes very." I smiled. "So first can you tell me first where you were in the middle of the night?"

"I gathered ingredients on the highlands, i was gone for about five hours. I was on my way home when i saw you on my way there." She replied.

"Oh. So if you told me that, then you can tell me how my Mate's name vanished?"

Her eyes widened. The winds playing around the trees as it swirls in sync with the sound traveling around us, the chirps of the birds becoming clearer. Still waiting for an answer, she walked a bit towards me.

"So he told you." She says unbelievably.

"Yeah, he said his name vanished."

  "Not vanished. But legally stolen."

"What? That doesn't make sense, stealing isn't legal." I scoffed.

"Well didn't i told you that no one remembers his name?" She whispers, as is she was telling a secret.
