Chapter 16

We were in a hurry that's why i didn't have any time to prepare at all.

The air ran through my hair harshly, some of it going into my face.

I was in the back of one of the wolves from our Pack while The Alpha King led the way. I told him where to find her, and he's surprisingly familiar with the way.

"Can you slow down a bit?" I asked the wolf

I just ignored the past minutes that passed, i was feeling sick of the ride and i wanted to vomit. But to my dismay, if i do, i may as well die for my own good.

Finally, we stopped at our tracks when the Alpha King did. I Slipped and fell into my butt when the guy carrying me shifted back into his human form, it's obvious he doesn't like a Dark witch.

  I let out a groan.

I looked up and saw that we were in the forest. I smiled.

"Lead the way." The Alpha King gestured his hand infront.

I nodded, i walked through the forest and the wolves behind me followed. Some of them marking trees, so they won't get lost. I'm a witch, and we might be in a witch home. You don't know if a Witch cast an illusion spell or anything of sort.

But there's nothing. No barrier, no traps, i can't even sense any animals from here.

"Alpha King. We're near a Pack territory. Bluestone Pack." The guy who approached him said.

Bluestone pack? Isn't that where Christal came from?

They talked for a little while and i didn't listen anymore, i was focused on finding the cabin- There it was.

I stopped and they did too.

I looked around it, something was wrong. Too quiet if she's still in here.

I looked at the Alpha King, he looked like what i was also thinking.

  She's not here.

The Cabin was old and rusty but we knew. We knew that it didn't decay but it was destroyed.

  I failed.

Even so, i walked towards it and opened the door. It fell instantly and i saw the inside. Empty and broken like the outside. Something was wrong, i can feel it.

Someone must've broken to her house.

The Alpha King stood beside me and crossed his arms. "I don't see or sense any White Witch alive somewhere here." He sounded pissed.

What happened? Has she really left? She told me she would never face our society ever again, that's why she chose to live away from the Witches. Maybe i was wrong, she could've left and started a new story by herself. After all, it's been a hundred years.

  I sighed. "I failed you, i'm sorry."

Instead of replying to me, he looked back and growled immediately, looking like someone was gonna attack. No he's wolf, he probably sensed someone not from his pack. I followed his stare and saw a man.

"So it's just you." The unknown man said just in front of the door.

I looked at the Alpha King, he seems unamused by this. We were near a Pack's territory now they're trying to talk to us why. Our Alpha's not in the mood to explain, We were in a rush after all.

"Jason." Our Alpha Says, ignoring the fact that this guy was also an Alpha.

The Alpha, that i assumed from the Bluestone pack, gritted his teeth. He was trying to control his Alpha anger.

"Alpha King." He mid-bows. "I didn't expect you to be here. Have you sent a message that i wasn't able to open? I don't remember arranging a meeting with you."

The Alpha King just shrugged. "This is not within your territory, stop meddling and retreat. Company is the last thing i'll request from you." He said while looking through the cabin.

I looked further and saw 5 men behind him. I doubt that they're planning to attack us. We're with the Alpha King after all. The cabin stood still, but the glares between these two packs made the cabin livelier.

I stepped in. "Alpha.. what is your name again?"

"Jason." He says, a little unsure why he was talking with a Dark witch.

"I would like to know if you've searched this area before."

Alpha Jason took a glance beside me, obviously looking pissed that the Alpha King even existed. I wouldn't blame him actually. He growled lowly as he returned his eyes on me.

"Why do you ask? This is an abandoned cabin."

  Abandoned?

"Then do you know that a witch had lived here?"

"Yes, the whole cabin is covered with its smell. Like yours."

My eyes widened, like mine? That's impossible. I'm a Dark Witch! My breath became heavier and my heart raced faster. Oh my God, is it possible? I ran through the cabin and searched for something, The others followed me.

I entered her room and began searching for any evidence that my instinct is true. A book fell in front of me and in picked it up, It's her book of spells. I placed it behind me and began searching for another thing-No.

  This can't be.

I stood up, a tear fell down my cheek. Looking down at this.. it must be true. I shook my head, how can she do this? How can she do something so foolish!

  I fell on my knees.

"Syrena, what's wrong?" The Alpha King asks.

"Again, i had failed you Alpha King. It's useless." I said as i wiped my tears.

"What? What is it!" He said as he looked down, at her pieces of equipment.

"Whether she's alive or not, she cannot be much of help anymore. You have smelled it right? A Dark witch's scent."

"THEN WHAT DO WE DO! You have failed me twice! Give me a reason not to kill you right now!" He said, his eyes turning dark from anger. He's at it again, i'm gonna die if i don't find a sentence that will calm him down.

The reason why i told him that the White witch i mentioned earlier was useless because when i saw the equipments that she used.. the equipments hid in the corner. It already made sense.

  She was practicing Dark Arts.

And wherever she is right now, she's not a white witch anymore. She became one of the vile creatures that are hated by the society. Somehow, i felt pity on her. She was so kind, beautiful and full of life. What could've happened to made her go Dark?

she's not useful anymore. But i did found something useful. I ignored his rampage and bent down, picking up the Book of Spells that she left. A White witch's book.

"This is our last hope." I said while still looking at the book.

A White witch's book should never be left behind by the user because this Book has life. Has a mind on its own and it decides if it lets another person open it. Yes, if i can make it open itself, we would be on luck.

But being a Dark witch i am, it made the chance decrease simultaneously. I held it with sweaty hands, should i open it here? Or wait? I think i should wait and go back to the kingdom.

"Alpha king, i have failed you twice, give me a chance to save her life." I said finally looking at him.

He stood tall than any other man in this cabin. And of course, he stood tall with Power and prestige. Even the Bluestone Werewolves stood like a bowing puppy to him.

"Then do it quickly." He said, impatient that i was wasting time.

  I nodded.

"You're not leaving this cabin with that book, Witch." Alpha Jason interrupts.

"Why not? This is place is not within your barrier, and the witch that had lived here was my old friend." I replied.

I was about to speak if it wasn't for The Alpha King that stepped in front of me. He glared at Alpha Jason, he looked not scared looking at our Alpha.

"Do not waste my time Bluestone pack." He growled.

The Bluestone Werewolves bared their fangs at our Alpha, obviously defying the Order of a King.

"You dare underestimate us!" Alpha Jason says.

"Underestimate? Why should i bother, you're nothing but meat to my pack." He smirks.

I sighed, we do not have time for war. We need to go to Christal!

"Alpha King, we should not waste time! Christal won't last long if you continue this." I shouted.

"What? What happened to my sister?" Alpha Jason asks, worried plastered to his face.

They stopped they're little war and i thanked god that her name was useful to stop their fight. The Alpha King seemed back to his ice mode because he ignored Alpha Jason and gripped my wrist tight.

"Let's go!" He said. "Hold that book tight." He says to me.

I nodded, he didn't have to tell me.

"Wait!" Alpha Jason blocks our way, but because Alpha King was becoming impatient every second, he didn't waste time and he gripped Alpha Jason's Throat, his eyes turning black from anger.

"Stand back Mutt!" He said and he threw him away easily, wow that was humiliating.

Now that the Bluestone Pack's leader was down, we didn't waste any more time. I quickly get behind the same werewolf i rode with before, they started to shift into their wolf.

The Forest stood still, but the cabin filled with werewolves of Bluestone pack, Howled in anger.
