i stared at her, she was lying on the bed like sleeping beauty, looking like dreams had taken her away. But apparently not, she 's been in pain for three straight days. that's why i couldn't perform the spell.
"Isn't there anything we can do? Why can you not remove the spell that you placed on her?" Beta Jaxon asks.
I slightly tilted my head to look at him. "I wasn't the one who placed the spell on her. She broke the barrier that was containing my spell. That barrier was the highest of the highest, of course you wouldn't break the barrier and just leave unharmed?"
"I know that." He clenched his fist. "But if you knew that why did you place that kind of barrier? You knew she would get hurt didn't you?"
I was slightly frustrated and angry with the way he spoke to me, he sounded like i'm the one at fault but obviously, i'm not.
"I placed that kind of barrier because she's stronger than anyone, she's a white wolf."
"But you still knew she would break it huh? And because of you! Our Alpha hasn't been focused and been on rampages everyfucking day!"
"Enough of this." I said and turned a heel on him, i turned my body away from him while the wind moved in sync with me. The window slightly banged from the impact of the flow.
He growled at me.
"You see beta." I rolled my eyes. "No one has broken my barrier except the Alpha King, that's why i thought she wouldn't break it."
The room was silent for a moment. I looked at Christal and stared at her.
"Okay let's just say that what you said is true. But it's been three days, why haven't you removed the spell? Alpha King wouldn't tell me."
I chuckled. "If he didn't tell you, why should i?" I teasingly looked at him.
He bore his canines at me and i raised my hands in surrender. "Curiosity is such a scary thing."
"I cannot remove the spell simply because her body is not in the conditioning in performing one. If i removed the spell on her without noticing the condition her body was experiencing, she would be dead."
"Her body is not in condition? But isn't the spell that you placed on the barrier the reason why she's in pain?."
"Nope, that would be stupid. There's no use in healing her if it was my stupid casted barrier that caused it."
"Then what!" He impatiently grunts.
"I don't know."
"What?"
"I said i don't know." I repeated.
I already told Alpha King that there was something that started her agony. I tried placing a spell on a werewolf to prove that my barrier didn't intend to hurt her, only to prison her. And the result was clear, my spell isn't the one responsible for her pain.
Something is, i explained to her Mate that maybe it's her wolf. She once told me that she forced herself to shift when i treated her. Only white Wolves are like this. You'd need permission for your wolf to use her power. But that's not the case at all.
And Alpha King ordered me to not tell a single soul about this.
Not even his Beta.
"Witch, don't play games with me." He growls.
"Ugh why do you care so much about her? Do you like her?" I tease him, trying to divert the subject.
I swiftly moved on the other side to avoid him attacking me, he almost had me but thankfully i managed a perfect timing. "Jaxon, don't. I was just kidding." I laughed.
"Call me Beta Jaxon." He growls once more.
"Then stop growling at me!"
"Fine." He shrugged it off and headed towards cinderella.
"Then tell me, why do you ask so much in healing her?"
"I don't even know her, but Alpha King needs her. And right now, the bond is killing our Alpha."
My eyes widened. "What? What bond. I don't detect any mate process happening here. He hadn't even marked her! How is that possible?"
"I thought so too, but if you say that her body is in pain, maybe that's the reason why The Alpha King is in Pain also."
"Pain? You mean anger and super anger? Yeah that's Alpha king for you."
"Yes that's true that he's been always angry without reason. Even rogues were not safe nowadays, it's his best rabbit to kill, rogues."
"Yea, but something changed since Luna Christal came here, he's more been more angrier than usual."
"What do you expect? She's been running away from him most of the time." He sighs.
We both looked down at her. If you look at her, you won't notice the agony her body is experiencing right now- i looked behind me and raised an eyebrow.
I sensed something weird
"We must leave." He tells me.
"Why? He's gonna visit again?" I groaned
i've only been here for less than an hour.
"C'mon Syrena, you don't wanna die right?" He chuckles. He headed towards the door and i followed.
There is it again.
I looked back at the bed of Christal, something is there..
But i can't shape what is there.
I looked away when i saw those familiar terrifying body and handsome face that belonged to an Alpha. Alpha King opens the door and comes in like he didn't saw us. He went straightly to Christal.
"Don't mind him, he's always like that. He's very worried at her." Jaxon tells me.
I know he can hear us but he chose to ignore us. He was holding unto christal's hand while kissing it gently. He looked like a normal werewolf with a mate, but obviously he's not.
He's an Alpha King.
I took one last look not because of the scene, but because for the third time, i noticed something..
Something..no.
Someone looking at me.
