Chapter 189

Della’s POV

Kylian immediately opened the cell and went in with an upright posture and domineering demeanor.

“A-Alpha Kylian!” Gianna gasped in surprise as soon as she felt Kylian’s presence. She hastily removed her hands from the guard and put distance between them.

The guard, on the other hand, swallowed in fear and took a step back as well, not daring to say a word in Kylian’s presence.

Filled with disgust and rage, I went beside Kylian, showing my face.

Overflowing with sarcasm, I spoke,  “I heard everything you said just now, Giana… So… I am a prostitute, huh? Is that about right?”

At first, Gianna looked surprised, and panic was momentarily evident in the glint of her eyes. It was so fast, though, that not everyone could see through it.

Her actions immediately changed as her eyes shifted to Kylian. With a pout, puppy eyes, and a submissive demeanor, she backed away to pretend that she was embarrassed.

Pitifully, she said in a low voice, “L-Luna… I’m sorry… But you must understand. I need to survive, so I have no other choice but to tell Alpha Kylian your secret.”

Pathetic!

I narrowed my eyes, looking forward to what kind of pathetic and ridiculous scheme she had under her sleeves now.

And without further ado, the show began.

Gianna bawlled her eyes out and started crying to Kylian. Sniffing in between with a heavy heart, she confessed, “The truth is…. I’m Della’s twin sister. That’s why we look exactly the same.”

My jaw instantly dropped at that.

“Twin sister? When did the Kingdom’s Lycan princess have a twin sister? How dare she!” Trisha screamed in the back of my mind with uncontrollable anger.

She wanted to take control and smuck the hell out of Gianna’s illusional mind.

But I didn’t feel the same way. For the first time, my heart throbbed with uncertainty. I, too, became unsure at this second, slightly shaken by her words that I couldn’t comprehend if it was a lie or not.

After all, staring at her, it was without a doubt that we had the exact same face. I knew for a fact that I never had a twin sister… But if it’s true, nothing could explain why Gianna was an omega.

My mother is the princess of a powerful pack in the north, while my father is the Lycan King. There’s no way they’ll give birth to an omega. I’ll believe she’s a beta or a gamma, but is she an omega? Just that’s impossible.

Dropping to the ground, Gianna went on her knees and, begging, pulled on Kylian’s trousers, speaking in between sobs, “B-before you and Della met… she lived a hard life. She worked in a brothel to support both of us. But not as a mere slave… but as a prostitute.”

Looking up with pain in her eyes, she shifted her gaze between me and Kylian, continuing, “Later, she met you and became your Luna. She begged me to keep her past a secret, so I hid the truth. I… I… All the mistakes I made… I only did it because I was jealous of Della and because I got scared of all of Sir Luke’s threats. Please…”

She looked up at Kylian with both her palms together, begging. “Please spare me… Please… For the sake of my twin sister. I beg you… Please spare me…”

I smeared. I would have been in full disgust if I had been in doubt earlier. All of that was obviously a lie! Since when did I work for anyone? And for the for that matter? I thought listening to her would be a little more fun than this, but it’s all just nonsense!

‘I’m the Lycan Princess! This is all insulting!’ I thought.

Trembling with anger, I took a step forward, raised my eyebrows, showed my palm, and asked firmly, “Give it to me. Where’s your evidence of all this nonsense?”

Squirming, she called out, “Sis… Please spare me… Look, our faces are identical. What more evidence do you want?”

Hearing her call me ‘Sis’ made me want to puke in disgust. And my pregnancy sure as hell didn’t have anything to do with it.

I have to give it to her thought. Her acting skills sure were on top. She didn’t even butt her eyes as she lied. I shifted my gaze and looked at Kylian.

‘He wouldn’t believe Gianna’s lies, would he?’ I wondered, my heartbeat fasting in anxiousness and worry.

Because how could I fight her there? She’s right, though… Our faces were identical, and it’s the best evidence one could ask for.

However, Kylian wasn’t even looking at me. All his attention was on Gianna. With a frown on his lips, he walked suspiciously closer to her and lowered his head to meet her eyes.

He asked, “Are you telling the truth?”

Gianna frantically nodded her head in excitement, continuously tugging on Kylian’s trousers. “Yes! I am. But please… Don’t blame my sister. Della has been very greedy since she was a child. She always wanted to be a Luna. That’s why she deceived you.”

“How dare you!” This time, I couldn’t hold my anger any longer and called out to her insolently while pointing a finger at her. “I don’t have a sister, much less a scheming bitch like you!”

“Kylian, don’t believe her. She’s lying!” I emphasized as I looked back at him.

“So… this was her plan all alone…” I thought, gritting in anger.

She wanted to discredit me and make Kylian push me away so she could get his forgiveness and have the chance to leave the prison. And far more, it would give her the chance to seduce Kylian and be the Luna.

My chest rose and fell in anger and fear.

I looked at Kylian nervously, hoping he wouldn’t be easily manipulated before and would believe my words instead.

With his eyes still on Gianna, Kylian fisted his hands, and his jaws clenched together. Suddenly, at the top of his lungs, he shouted in fury that echoed in the entire dungeon, “Della!”

Just like that, evident pride flashed in Ginna’s eyes as she thought she has got Kylian in the palm of her hands, succeeding in her play.
