Chapter 49

As soon as I got inside my room, I slumped on the bed. My heart was still beating so fast as everything Kylian did and said sunk into my mind.
"Focus, Della. Focus…" I repeatedly told myself. Once I gained my composure, I unpacked my things and opened my laptop on the mini study table in front of the window facing the garden.
Rogue Attacks And Killings
For the past few days, Albert and I had been working on this case as my preparation on inheriting the throne.
For the past few years, the number of cases of rogue attacks and killings had been increasing. Not only on the borders, but also around the packs surrounding the kingdom.
As of now, for the past 3 months, there were 1,432 new cases of injuries caused by rogues and 548 killings. Much worse, half of those numbers weren't detained with few even unrecognized.
Albert helped me get that statistics by deploying some of his pack members on every pack station to grab information about the cases they had.
It was both tormenting and agonizing to know that despite the number of trained warriors and security installed around the Lycan palace other packs, such occurrences still happened.
I was organizing the data and the proposed planned for higher security system on my computer when my room door was banged open. Startled, I immediately closed my computer and stood up in defense.
"Luna Natasha…" I called in surprise.
She was fuming mad. Her face was red and her nostrils were flaring. She briefly looked around the room, and set eyes on the glass of water I had beside my computer.
Before I realized it, she already grabbed it and poured its contents on my face.
"You bitch! You're just a mere useless omega! How dare you manipulate everyone into taking your side? First you forced Flora to be sent away. Now, you are framing Margot so Kylian will imprison her. She's his family!"
Hearing what she said, I was frozen on my feet. Kylian sent Margot in jail? He was always protecting her and being partial with his sister. I couldn't believe he actually did that. He did it for me… To give me justice?
"You framed him! I cannot forgive you! You vile bitch! A witch cursed by a demon! People like you deserve only the lowest slaves!"
Her curse brought me back to reality. "Framing? Luna Natasha… I think you got the information wrong."
"My Margot will never do such a thing! You are framing her! You even made Kylian argue with me! What's even so good in a trash like you, huh? You're just a fucking slut, hookign up with everyone. You're a useless bitch!"
She kept throwing profanities at me. Then, she started taking a step forward before I could even be left in daze after learning that Kylian argued with his mother on my behalf.
"This is all your fault! It's all because of you, bitch!" She kept saying that she threw slaps on my way, but I was too agile and avoided her.
She kept trying to grab my hair, kick my calves, punch, and everything. She's hysterical and violent but I kept my cool and just avoided her attacks with consistency. As much as I wanted to fight back, I didn't.
Being a Lycan, and a royal, I knew that I'm far stronger than her. If I fight back with her now, I'll end up killing her.
It's a good thing too as she wouldn't know my real identity.
"It's all your fault! If it weren't for you, Kylian wouldn't treat us like that."
Yes, he wouldn't. He's not like that. He cared for his family so much that he was always partial to both of them, even before.
I was left in my thoughts that it's already too late when I realize that there's a palm coming my way. Just then, I failed to avoid the slap she threw at me.
It sting, but it didn't hurt me much. Nonetheless, that made me lose my patience.
"None of this is my fault! It's your daughter's fault and how yours for constantly spoiling her! About Flora? When she came back, I was willing to sign the divorce papers as soon as possible but Kylian didn't do his end of the bargain. I am not to be blamed for anything! I'll even divorce him this instant if it were for me" I emphasized to her.
I am tired of keeping silent. I didn't do anything wrong, so why should I be mistreated for those things? All I did was be tolerant and love Kylian. Was that so wrong?
Luna Natasha gritted her teeth in anger while hearing my words. Once I'm done, she shakes with fury.
"Guards! Throw this trash out!" Luna Natasha ordered.
"Don't you dare!" Kylian appeared just when three guards were about to hold me. His voice was as cold as ice and his demeanor was so scary at this moment. He's back to being that usual domineering Alpha that he was known for.
His eyes were filled with danger as he shifted his eyes to all of us while he stood on the doorframe with a clenched fist.
Looking at me, he asked, "What did you say? Say it again!"
