Chapter 33

At first, I was angry that Della was still left in Jackson's care and that I was asked to leave.
But as soon as I calmed down and got out of the alley, a smile broke out of my lips, and my steps became lighter. My chest puffed up in pride while I recalled an earlier scene of how Della protected me from being arrested.
She still loved me! She still loves me!
My heart was racing so fast, and I wanted to jump in joy. In fact, as sissy as it was, I felt like I was floating in the clouds right now.
"What happened? Why got you all unicorns and rainbow in that dark alley?" Henry asked in confusion while looking behind my shoulder to see what made me so happy.
I smiled at him with pride and confidently said, "Della will come back to me soon."
He raised his brows, doubting. "And you are this sure because…"
I glimpsed back at the alley. "What happened earlier is enough proof that she still can't let me go as much. I won't let her go from my life."
"Is it?"
Hearing the doubtful question in his tone, I looked at him seriously. "What do you want to say?"
Henry shrugged his shoulders. After being silent for a while, he sighed and reminded me, "I mean, what happened earlier undoubtedly hurt Luna Della even if she didn't voice it out. There's no woman in this world that will willingly admit such a thing in public."
Learning that what he had on his mind wasn't much of an issue, I scoffed, and the smile went back on my face. "As long as she still loves me, everything will be fine. She'll forgive me, and I'll protect her this time."
Determination glinted in my eyes as I went and walked toward the car.
While sitting inside the car and admiring the beauty of the scenery outside, I couldn't help but feel proud of myself.
As I expected, as long as Flora was out of the picture and that poisonous bond of a fated mate wouldn't affect me, it's clear as day that Della's the only woman in my heart.
I know Della probably still hated me for neglecting her before, but it's all that mate bond's fault!
She'll understand me. I'll make her understand me. After all, though she's an Omega, she's definitely smart and would surely know what's best for her.
The time would come when she'd realize that Jackson wouldn't be able to give her any title and power. That even if he's a prince, he'll never be as good a choice for her as I would ever be.
For an omega like her, returning to the Dark Moon Pack and being my Luna would give her more advantages and perks in life. Otherwise, she'd be back to being the poor omega she used to be.
She'd be forced to mop the floor and wash clothes for others. She'd be bullied and stomped on by everyone else. She won't like that kind of life. None would.
As the scenery outside blurred before my eyes, so did the worries I had before when I thought she'd leave me. But now, I couldn’t be sure that she'd come back to me, especially once she realized that only someone who loved her so deeply would not mind her lowly identity as an Omega – someone like me. Not the bastard Prince.
"Kylian?"
My seat hadn't been warmed yet from my sitting when Margot opened the door and came into my office.
"What do you want?" I asked annoyingly, knowing she couldn’t possibly be her for something good.
Her cheeks puffed up, her eyes were flaring, and her lips were in tin line as she stood in front of my desk with her hands on her hips.
If she's trying to intimidate me, she's failing terribly.
"Why did you expel Flora from the pack?" She slammed her hands on my desk and glared at me with blame. "She's so gentle and kind! Most of all, she's your fated mate! If there's someone to be expelled, that should be that Omega wife of yours, Della!"
My wolf let out a small growl, not liking how she was talking to us. Family or not, we're the Alpha.
I leaned back on my chair and reminded myself, "Be careful there. You're talking to an Alpha!"
Unexpectedly, she closed the gap between us by crawling onto the table like some maniac and grabbing my collar. "How could you?"
Before I could reply and get out of my shock, she went on and pushed her entire weight into me, completely knocking me to the ground.
I coughed from surprise. I felt like a massive rock had just fallen on me because she was heavy.
"You've always treated me so rude before, and that's all because of the bitch of an Omega!"
Margots’s hands were on either side of my head while she remained on top of me. Her eyes were blazing with redness, and her entire body was trembling, writhing with anger.
She was on full breakdown and like she was losing her mind with the overwhelming anxiety kicking in here.
Damn! She's having an episode.
"Calm down, Margot!" I shouted and pushed her to the side, making her collapse to the ground beside me while I stood up.
In response, she started trashing out and throwing a tantrum. "See? You never treated me like this! It's all because of that woman of yours!"
"Don't say that. Look—"
Frustrated, she stood up and started pointing fingers. "What? It's all true! Della's a bitch! And now she's a fucking slut whoring her way around the kingdom! A low-life trash like her doesn't deserve to be a Luna! She fits better in the garbage when she rightfully belongs!"
"Shut up!" I shouted, my eyes changing color as my voice and my wolf combined out of fury.
Raising a finger, I continued, "If I continue to hear more slanderous words from you about Della, my wife, and your Luna, I'll lock you up even if you're my sister! Flora was expelled from the pack because she offended Luna, but most of all, it's because she lied about being pregnant and stole the necklace, which brought great shame in our family businesses!"
Margot didn't even process my words properly and just stomped her foot on the ground.
Madly, she screamed, "No matter what she did, you should have tolerated her instead of shielding a good-for-nothing Omega!"
I stared at the woman in front of me like I hadn't known her for half my life. Her hair was a mess; her eyes were wide open and continuously streaming with tears, and… she looked crazy.
How could she defend Flora so baselessly like this? Obviously, Flora wasn't the good one here, and yet, like a witch, she had everyone blindly believing her deceits.
"Stop crying! It won't change a thing!" I shouted before calling out through the door. "Guard!"
Immediately, two warriors came in a rush.
"Alpha," they both greeted.
Nodding toward Margot, I ordered, "Escort my sister back to her room and let her reflect on her actions for a day. Until then, don't let her out."
While the warriors took hold of Margot, who was trashing around, she looked at me in anger. "You can't do this!"
Her cries became louder.
I was about to go crazy when another warrior came in a rush. Worriedly, he said, "Alpha, Sir Luke wanted to see you."
Hearing that, my heart immediately sank.
I was caught off guard, but I tried to hide my deep fear and asked, "Why is he looking for me?"
The guard swallowed in fear before hesitantly informing me, "Sir Luke received an email from Prince Jackson about the divorce between you and Luna Della. I'm sorry, Alpha."
Divorce…
My world suddenly stopped moving, and my breathing hitched in shock.
She actually sent me a divorce paper?
