Was I dreaming.
My mother looked at me with a smile.
I looked back at her.
She wasnt even feeling guilty.
"Mom" I said looking at her.
She finally cracked and laughed.
She almost toppled over with laughter.
She thought it was funny.
I almost had a heart attack and this woman was laughing.
"It wouldn't be such a bad idea to scare you on your wedding day" She said shrugging off her shoulders.
It was now that I noticed that she only had on a shirt with tights and sneakers
I looked at her again and felt sorry for the girls who decided to go in the shower all at once.
"Its six thirty" Ninse said with a small towel wrapped around her.
"No shit" I said looking at her.
She glared at me as if I'm the one who lied.
My mother laughed again.
She really thought she was funny.
"This ain't cool mom" I said rolling my eyes.
The water seemed to stop at once and they all came out of the shower.
They almost looked like they were glaring at my mother.
She didnt even seem like she cared
"Anyways.
Your dresses are in the living room and the hair stylists are to arrive in one hour" she said looking at her phone.
"I'm going down to check if everything is fine and is working just fine the babies will soon be here" she said and left the room leaving us in silence.
"Bring painkillers please" said Arabi as she started drying her self off.
It was finally my turn to go shower.
The hair stylist showed up after one hour.
Why my mother insisted that I wake up early was still beyond my knowledge but who was I to disobey.
"Hello lily" I greeted her as I opened the door in a robe.
Smiling at the man who was behind her I let them in and she instructed the girls to sit down and stay still so that she wouldn't take longer than needed.
Not long after Mendel's mother dropped by along with Mendel's big sister and they came with the room service who brought for us breakfast.
Before I could eat the breakfast nerves started getting the best of me.
I was really nervous.
So many terrible questions started running in my head.
The girls on the other hand started eating slowly.
For all I knew they still had a hangover so did I.
My mother showed up not long after that and gave each one of us two tablets to swallow.
After a few minutes I felt alright and took a bottle of water to drink.
I was really getting nervous.
I took my phone out and before I could look at it the noise of my babies brought me out of my trance.
Mrs Griffins had two of them in her hands and two more nannies carried my other two babies and Leyal's twins.
My face lit up when I saw them.
They also the same.
They all started saying mama.
Yes they could now say a few words
Imagine the first word these shameless babies said was dad.
Yes.
I know.
Shameless.
They had gotten so big everytime I thought about it I would almost get emotional.
I carried Asnat and Ori in my hands while Mrs Griffins held Nachman and Itai with her.
After a few minutes with them even though it was almost like one hour my mother took them out of my hands claiming that they were going to clean them up and dress them and I needed to do the same.
It wasnt even nine yet.
Rolling my eyes I went to Lily for her to finish doing my hair and her friend whose name was sam started doing my make up.
The rest of the girls were ready.
Where was that photographer.
As if he heard me I heard a knock on the door and Lola again went to open the door and his face popped out of the corner.
Well about damn time.
My breakfast still laid untouched and my appetite didnt seem to be with me so I told the girls to eat it.
I was too nervous to eat.
In one hour I was done.
Done with my hair.
Done with makeup.
I still didnt open my phone and I knew that a couple of messages remained unread.
It was ten and in three hours we were supposed to be in the church.
The church was a thirty minutes drive which practically meant that we had two hours left to spare.
We took pictures in that mean of time and Linda and her friend bid us goodbye after helping each one of us in our dresses.
My babies rocked their small suits and Asnat had a beautiful red dress on her and she looked all too pretty.
Before we knew it one hour and a half was done.
My nerves got worse.
"Aviva.
Relax it's not like he is going to run away if he hasn't in those last years that yall have been living together" Leyal said as if she was making things better.
I glared at her.
"Not helping" I murmured.
"My point is that he ain't going no where.
He is too whipped" she said shrugging her shoulders and I laughed.
No wonder she was my maid of honour.
It did help a little but mother came in the picture not even after twenty minutes telling us that we were indeed late.
She made it her job to order for all of us burgers because apparently no lady should go to her own wedding with an empty stomach.
She was right
I was regretting why I didnt eat that breakfast and when she gave me a packet containing a burger and fries I thanked her.
