Chapter 37

I shook my head, I was nothing but a naïve virgin. Not that the thought of Alexander taking me to bed didn't cross my mind because it did, too many times for me to even count.

And these thoughts were not sleeping on the same bad thoughts. These were the thoughts you see in romance novels.

Alexander and I walked out of Henrique's room. Alexander pushed opened my door and waited for me to enter then entered after me, closing the door behind him.

I look him at him.

Was he really talking me to bed?

I leaned my head on the door behind me and smile. Did that really just happen?

Alexander and I walked out of Henrique's room. Alexander pushed opened my door and waited for me to enter then entered after me, closing the door behind him.

I look him at him.

Was he really talking me to bed?

I stared into his eyes and smile. My heart beating a mile a minute.

"Let's go get some ice-cream!" The words came out of my mouth without me realizing it.

He smirked, "You want Ice-cream now?"

I nodded, too fast for my liking. As much as I liked this man in front of me, I'm not ready to lose my virginity to him.

"Then let's get some ice-cream." He turned and opened the door that he had closed less than three minutes ago. I walked out of my room and back in the hall, Alexander only two feet away from me. He moved closer to me placing his hands around my waist. My heart was beating so fast I could hear it. Why was he having his effect on me?

When he reached in the kitchen, he took out ice-cream from the refrigerator and then joined me by the island. He opened the cover of the ice-cream revealing it's pink colour and the little dark spots in it.

"What flavour is this?"

"Cherry Chocolate Chip."

I nod. It wasn't a flavour I knew but ice-cream is still ice-cream.

He handed me the silver spoon and then took his first dip. I followed him. I moan at the taste and then started to take a next dip.

I looked over at Alexander as he ate his ice-cream in silence. I looked up at him, admiring his beauty until he shifted his gaze and his eyes making contact with mine. I jumped since I was caught red-handed staring. I quickly look down at my spoon.

He laughed causing me to look up at him with a small frown. What's so funny about me starring?

I sighed and look back down at my spoon.

"Are you okay?" Alexander asked breaking the silence.

"Yes. Of course, why wouldn't it be?" You're right in front of me.

"I heard you sigh that's why."

"Oh, that? Don't pay it any mind." I quickly came up with an excuse. "I sighed because if I was in New York right now. I'd probably be at work doing overtime or watching a movie on my couch with Grey or Sleeping with Grey beside me." I said with a smile.

"Oh. I see. Grey is your companion."

"Yep," I said popping the p. "He's more than just a dog. He's my life. Without him, I'd be alone."

He remained silent for a while then said, "Cloudy can't seem to get over him. They're all over each other. I think she's pregnant." He said with a smile. I knew he shared me love of animals.

Who doesn't like animals? They're so adorable.

"Yeah, I noticed that. They hit it off pretty fast." I said with a laugh.

"Tell me about it." He said with a chuckle.

"They passed my even first kiss stage on the first day." Do dogs even kiss? Maybe they had their version of kissing.

"Is there a stage of kissing that you follow?" he questioned smirking. My insides curled up as he smiled. Why are his teeth so white?

"Hmm...Did. Not anymore, when my sister and I were younger. We made some dating rules. I never used them much. I'm the lame one out of the two us." Never went on my first date until I was nineteen. Kissed at twenty.

"Tell me more please."

"Well, the first rule was to never kiss on the first date." Not that it stopped Alliyah anyway.

He laughed. "Really. That's lame. We kissed, and we haven't even been on a date." I blushed and held my head down. "I like your blush."

"I like your teeth." He laughed and placed another spoon of ice-cream in his mouth.

"Ha...then since you find me irresistible, I suggest you go on a date with me." He said smiling a genuine smile.

"Really?" I asked not believing my ears.

Did Alexander Carter just ask me on a date?

I must be hearing doubles.

"Yes, really. I'd like to get to know you better. Now give me this ice-cream. You've had enough I don't want my sewer system stop working tomorrow." He grabbed the bowl that was now in front of me.

My eyes went wide at what he just said. "You did not!" I got up from my stool and playfully hit him in the head and ran. I ran up the stairs with him not far behind.

"I'm gonna catch you and when I do. You'll pay." He shouted.

I laughed like a silly little girl and continued running.

"I'll watch you try," I said a little out of breath, but I continued to run. I was out of breath when I reached the top stairs. I bent for a few seconds to ketch my breath then I ran to my room door. I turned the lock on the door, but I was too late. Alexander's hand was trapping me on the door.

"Where do you think you're going?" he said grinning.

I held my head up hiding my smile. "To my room."

"Oh really." I nod. "Didn't I tell you if I caught you, you'll pay."
