Two weeks later, Rachel was watching TV in Jack's villa when a news report made her freeze.

"Davis Group President's wife Rachel Williams has been declared dead after accidentally falling overboard from a cruise ship. After seven days of search efforts, maritime authorities have officially terminated the rescue operation..."

On screen, a man in an expensive suit dabbed at his eyes. "I've lost the love of my life... I'm establishing a foundation to help families affected by maritime tragedies..."

A splitting headache hit her. That face seemed eerily familiar, the voice triggering distant echoes in her mind.

"That's Michael Davis, the rising business tycoon." Jack was standing behind her, though she hadn't heard him enter.

Rachel suddenly felt violently ill, instinctively repulsed by the woman on screen.

That night, she had a horrific nightmare. Someone pushed her from behind, she was falling, freezing water filled her lungs. The suffocation felt so real that she woke up screaming.

"Nightmare again?" Jack appeared with a glass of warm water.

She nodded, tears streaming down her face. "Someone tried to kill me... I can feel it... it wasn't an accident..."
