"Do you know that he fucking killed every man and woman? Even though they were rogues, they had lives! He was a bastard. I swore to him that I would get you if I survive and here I am. I survived."
He emotionlessly said looking into Mirela's eyes. Her heart tightened hearing him. Again? Killed? She helplessly looked away from him, Ascian had killed again? Both Ahren and she were suffering because of Ascian's murderous intentions. He always killed and he didn't think that they also have lives and they also loved to live.
"I'm sorry about it," she muttered.
This is not the first time it happened, both she and Ahren got hurt because Ascian killed her previous alpha's son. And now he had again killed so many people. She couldn't understand why he didn't want to get out of that life. Not only he's not getting out of that life but also he's pulling Ahren into the same thing.
"Your sorry can't bring back my people Mirela. No one survived! Including my nephew! He hasn't even spared a little child's life. How cruel" he said. His voice was broken and it held hundreds of emotions. Looking at him, she sighed and shook her head.
"I know it's hard for you but I can't live without them. Just let me go, please" hearing Mirela's voice, he shook his head to her disappointment. Then he looked into her eyes and spoke, making her heart go numb.
"There's a woman with him who is similar to you Mirela. He will not understand that she was not his real mate because the woman who was with him has the same scent, same everything. So he will never be able to understand she was not you. Not even his wolf because the spell was strong and no one will be able to break it"
"So just give up. I don't want to hurt you so please stay here and don't try to escape because if you try to escape you'll lose your life. This place is surrounded by the sea and we are staying so far away from them"
Tears welled in her eyes, her body began to tremble and she didn't know how to believe his words. Her heart ached with the thought of Ascian marrying that woman thinking that she was her and also Ahren calling her momma. Painful tears covered her beautiful face and she clutched her dress tightly.
"Please …. Let me go" she forced her words out thinking that he would let her go. She wanted to go to Ascian, she didn't want him to be with that fake woman. Wiping her tears, she took a few steps closer to him.
"You.. can't do this… please.. Let me go" she sobbed but he did nothing but stare at her for a while before turning to leave the room. She was heartbroken and scared. She didn't want him to keep her here without letting her go to Ascian.
"You'll get used to this after you stay with me for a while. Just try to forget him, Mirela." he replied as he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Not only closed, but he also locked the door. She heard him doing it from the outside of the door.
Her heart shattered into pieces, she walked towards the bed and sat on it as she buried her face against her palms and started to sob. She was just so hurt, her mind was going crazy as she thought about everything that could happen. She was scared, she didn't know who the woman was pretending to be her. Is Ascian really can't recognize that she was not the woman he's with?
Can't he understand? Her mind was filled with countless questions. What if she treated Ahren badly? What if she got pregnant with Asican. No! She didn't want it, she just didn't want any woman to be with him. She had suffered enough with the fact that Ascian had slept with so many women in the past. She slowly moved on forgetting the past but now, again something had happened.
She knew that Ascian was not at fault, she was at fault because she went out without telling him but she didn't think that something like this would happen to her because she was in his pack and she was safe there. Not knowing how to understand what happened to her so suddenly, she let out a deep sigh and laid on the bed again.
"Ascian… please.. It's not me" she cried. Even though she knew that he cannot hear her she just called his name just to comfort herself. She was hurt so much, she just wanted to go to him as soon as possible.
"Ascian…." she sobbed curling up on the bed. Her heart was aching, her mind reminded her about Ahren. No woman would treat a child good if he or she was not her own child and also she felt that woman will soon fall for Ascian. So if that happened, Ahren would be the one to suffer. That woman will never treat Ahren like she did.
She wanted to go, she just wanted to run away from this place ignoring the things that man told her. No matter how dangerous it was, she just wanted to go because she's not ready to let another woman take her place and also hurt her son. Ascian was ignorant and he will never understand things so that scared her the most.
No Ascian was not a stupid man, he will recognize that it was not his Mirela. Ascian knew her and she knew about everything. No matter how hard that woman tries, Ascian should know that that woman was not her.
Then suddenly, her heart brightened up with the thought that that woman would never be able to know the food routine that she made for both Ascian and Ahren. She sighed in relief. He will find her and she was sure about it. Ascian will come to her and until then she should just be patient and try to calm herself down.
She shouldn't try to escape, she should just wait for him without going anywhere. Closing her eyes with that thought, she tried to do something which she hasn't done in years. She never tried but she didn't give up on waking her wolf up.
'Nivia…. It's been years but yet you're sleeping. Why don't you try to wake up? He came to us again. And taking care of our son. He loves Ahren, ' she said. Even though her eyes were closed, tears rolled down from her eyes.
She loved her wolf so much, the first day she shifted into her wolf, she remembered both her father and brother were shocked seeing her snow white wolf. She was gorgeous and strong. Her wolf was perfect and she was just blessed by the moon goddess to have a wolf like that.
Nivia… She called her wolf that name. The name meant snow. She was gorgeous with her white fur and she was just simply breathtaking. She could heal others so fast, especially Ascian, she could heal Ascian if he got injured.
With all those thoughts, she waited hoping that Nivia would respond but as always she again experiences a hopeless heartbreak. It was nothing but another failure.
