Chapter 96

1250words
Golden's POV

Everyone's sleeping. The whole castle is already dark and quiet. This is the perfect time to go on my separate journey.

I glanced at my sleeping parsen. "I'm sorry, but I have to do this." My heart skipped a beat when he moves to face the other side of the wall. I thought I just woke him up.

My eyes landed on Bubbles. Yeah, she's coming with me. Just in case something bad happens to me, she'll be there to let Damon know. I know how terrible this idea is. I can literally just wake him up and tell him the plan so he can come with me, but that just ain't it.

He will never let me visit God Diante's chamber. You must be thinking that I crazy. Why would I bother going back there when conyans have done their job already.

It's just that. I feel like they didn't find the possible portal where the wolf enter. My instincts are also telling me that the culprit keeps on going back everytime it has a chance. He didn't killed God Diante on purpose. He was just caught and he had no choice, but to silence him.

I wonder who could it be.

My heart is pounding hard as I walked to the door. I turned the knob carefully and it disappeared.

I glanced ay my parsen for the last time. He's still sleeping innocently on the bed without knowing that I'm already preparing to leave.

"Ivaw," Bubbles whispered. I stared at the bag she's handing to me. This thing has my gears and weapons.

"Thank you," I mouthed. She just smiled at me. A weak one. When I first told her about my plan she didn't like it. Who would want to go back there when the killer could literally see you and end your life.

I just feel the need to do this.

My legs walked the silent halls of the castle. All the doors are closed. Candles are dead and so are the lights. It feels emptier now. Now, that a lot of the guards were killed.

I'm wearing a tight leggings and crop top. It's a gift from Elaine. She she made it herself. Wasn't that cute?

It was way more brighter when I finally got out of the palace. The moon is shining brightly on the night sky. I hear crickets and sleeping unicorns. I wouldn't call for Cronosus' help. He's too upright and I know that he will not like this idea and rat me out to Damon.

So, I'd rather go alone with my most trusted ivaw.

"You didn't even kissed me goodbye."

My eyes grew big when I heard a deep voice. I turned around to see Damon awake and all suited up. What the—I thought he's asleep?

"You think Bubbles has no feelings? Of course, she's worried of you," My eyes widened. I looked at Bubbles and she couldn't look at me. "and me too. She knows I'll go crazy once you go missing again."

I lifted my head to look at him. His handsome face frowned. "Why do you like doing things alone, huh? You want to see me get crazy, don't you?" he slurred. I looked down.

"I—I just thought that you wouldn't let me because it's too dangerous," I said in a small voice. He clicked his tongue and pulled me into a hug.

"Of course, I wouldn't let you do something dangerous alone. You can go with me."

My ers twitched from what he said. "You will?!" I chirped. He chuckled softly and put my head on his chest.

"Lower your voice down, baby. We don't want to wake them up," he hushes.

Just like usual. I let him walk to the middle of the field and transform himself to a beautiful white dragon. His scales are reflecting the light of the moon. He looks magnificent.

"Grghhhh!"

That's my sign.

I walked towards him and hopped on his back. Bubbles is staring at us as I move to Damon's back to find a comfortable seat. She has watery eyes. She's acting like a worried mother and I can't help it, but smile. She's so cute.

"I'll leave you a job, Bubbles."

Her ears twitched. She looked at me with her eyes as round as the moon. I put out a small pouch in my bag. "Give this to Elaine. Tell her that I wore the clothes she made me and it shows my navel," I said. She smiled cheerfully and took the pouch from me.

Those are just beans. Something that makes anyone blue when they're eaten. She asked for it because she wants to prank Gab. They're really something.

It worked though. Bubbles became distracted and she immediately went back to the castle to wait by Elaine and Gab's door.

"Grghhhh!" he snarled. I rolled my eyes and hold the straps in his neck tightly. He can't wait like always.

I closed my eyes when he flipped his wings and start to ascend in the air. The whiff of wind is hitting my face harshly today because of the weather. It's been cold these past few days.

The night view of Spheria looks pretty gloomy tonight. The God of Clasiffe's death spread like fire in the Kingdom. Everyone's mourning for his death especially the one's he has helped when he was still alive. He was such a good good and no once could replace him as the God who teaches focus and skills.

"Grghhhh!" he snarled again. Another sign that we're about to land. I looked down and see thick trees. Not so far is God Diante's chamber and the Clasidium.

I went down on his back when we finally arrived on the ground. I watched him went back to his normal form. His body is steaming hot because of the chemical reaction in his body. I grabbed a small towel in my bag and wipe his sweat.

"Thank you, baby."

I replied him with a smile. My eyes landed on the huge trees. I knew it. They will produce a spell to make Diante's chamber invisible, but it's here. I know it's here because the same hill from a week ago is here.

We walked there carefully. Damon's hand is tightly holding mine. He doesn't want to let go and I understand why. We're expecting an attack.

He lifted me up when a huge rock suddenly fell on the trees. I looked up to see a man-made trap. What the hell?

"Careful," he whispered. I nodded gently and smiled when he put me on the ground again.

This time, I made sure not to look around, but also on the ground. There are certain traps that I don't know who made them. These are not products of Chosens. We don't practice traps in here fo we don't need it. We've got gifts and that's what we use to be catch enemies.

"Look! It's there," I said. My eyes twinkled when I saw God Diante's chamber. I was about to go there when a woman suddenly came out and enter the house.

"Back," he growled. I nodded softly and let him block himself to me. She seemed to not care though. She looked like she didn't see us.

Since the place is dark, I was able to see her silhouette only. She has a long hair and lean body.

I wonder who it is? Must be the culprit. So, the menace is a girl?
