Golden's POV

I enjoyed my dinner. He woke up a moment later and joined me. We were talking about what God Hlaford told him after I walked out. He said that the God of Spheria understands me and that he was sorry.

We're not sure yet though. She could be just another piece in a picture. I don't want to jump into conclusions, but I've manage to make myself accept the possibilities.

"God Hlaford said that Mapheus can help us find Aluncina. You brought some of her stuffs, right?" he asked. I pouted my lips and nodded. Mapheus can find anyone or anything. It just needs one object or anything that can resemble the one you're looking for.

"Is there a chance for us to help Josh?" I asked. He stopped from sharpening my sword. I knew he wouldn't like what I just said, but I still said it. "It's not just about him. We can also help Steve. He has no idea that Freeda is not his parsen." I'm trying to persuade him, but he just furrowed his brows. He never liked Steve.

"He doesn't know?" he asked dubiously. I nodded my head innocently at him. Steve is such a nice guy and I don't want him to hurt longer. "And you believed him?" My face falls.

He won't really help?

"He's far different from Freeda. You have to understand that he's just a victim. Unlike you dragonians, Chosens have no ability to distinguish their parsens. They only depend on the Parsenation Ceremony."

His jaw clenched.

"Baby, please. I'm doing this to help. He needs help. He needs us," I said in a persuasive manner. He went back to sharpening my sword. My shoulders fell. Josh must be so sad right now. All he wants is for Freeda to go back to him.

"Fine."

My ears twitched. Did he just say fine?

"Baby?" I called sweetly. He glanced at me and smile. "Thank you!" I chirped. I'm so happy that he's slowly learning to let his guard down. I pulled him to a tight embrace and he just hugged me back amusedly.

"How do we it do it though? I'm sure that Josh can't go through here. I heard that the secret spell he knew don't work anymore," I told him. Damon lifts my sword and give me a handsome smile.

"We have Diante," he replied. My brows arched.

*****

It's dark already. All the torches in the halls are dead. The whiff of wind is freezing cold, but that didn't stop us from going to Diante's chamber.

The place where I was contained when I got accused of being a spy. We went to the back side of the castle where we used to train. He lets go of my hand and walk to the middle of the field.

I watch Damon transform himself to a dragon. His white scales reflected the bright ray of the moon. I smiled when I saw his almond green eyes as a dragon.

"Grghhh!"

That's my sign.

I walked to him and sat on his back. The support on his neck are here again. I secured myself and in one touch, he extended his wings and ascended.

I hugged his body to prevent myself from falling. I'm glad he gave me his jacket before we fly in the air. It is so cold up here.

The night view of Spheria is beautiful. I never had a chance to meet the Vortans below us. They're living just like humans. There are houses and children. There are fields and hills. This place would have been perfect if only greed didn't exist.

"Grghhhh!" he snarled. I arched my brows. That's another sign. I hold on to him tighter and the next thing I knew is we're already flying so fast.

We were on the clouds for half an hour. I smiled when I finally saw the Classidium. It's so bright I can see it from here. He growled again that made me tightened my grip.

We slowly descended to the ground.

He gradually went back to his normal form and I found myself chilling in his arms. He put me down to the ground gently and I smiled as a thank you.

"Do you think he's still awake?" I asked him. I believe it's already past ten. Gods usually sleep before it turn nine. I wonder if he's still up.

"We'll know when we get there."

He intertwined our hands and walk to the deepness of the forest. I remember this path very well is spite of the darkness. He took me here in this thick forest and there were colorful mushroom everywhere.

"We're here," he said in a low voice. I followed his gaze and the familiar facade of the cave greeted me.

He lifted me up and carried everytime we come across difficult pathways like this huge rock in front of me. I voluntarily extended my hand to him and he pulled me carefully upwards.

After a thousand lumps and holes, we finally arrived in his chamber. This hard path is nothing to Diante since he's a giant and he does big steps, but I'm sure he'll be surprised once he see is knocking on his door at this time.

We had no choice. This is the only time we can make the portal happen.

Yes, we'll ask him to open the portal to the Mythonia Kingdom to Spheria Kingdom. I know it sounds stupid, but I'm sure he'll thinking about it once he hears us out.

"Should I do the knocking?" I asked. Damon just smiled as an answer. I rolled my eyes jokingly and raised my hand. I gave it three knocks and my eyes widened when the door disappeared in an instant. "That scared the hell out of me!" I blurted. Damon's hand went in front of me like as if he's stopping me to enter the cave.

"What's wrong?" I asked. His face is all crumpled that no artist can paint him right now. Did he noticed something fishy?

"I smell something," he whispered. My brows arched. Smell? What does it smell like?

"Does it stink?" I asked.

"No. It's a woman's perfume. I think a woman is inside."

My eyes widened. Okay? I didn't know Diante has a love life. Well, I guess even a God experienced lonely nights too. We're all vulnerable to emotional pain.

"I'm excited to meet her then," I replied and shove his hand away. He tried to stop me, but I entered the room casually already.

The messy furnitures and objects welcomed me. This is way more messier than I last saw it. God Hlaford told is that Diante hasn't been showing up since we leave to do out mission to the human world. He thought it was all because he was worried. Little did he know, Diante had mistakenly let a Mythonian out the portal.

What the hell happened here anyway? Has he always been this messy?

"Why is that table upside down?" I mumbled to myself. This is strange. Was he this messy to the point that the furnitures in his chamber are all upside down including this sofa?

What the...

"Golden," he calls. My brows arched. Did he just call me by my name? He only does that when something awful happened. I turned to look at him and my I tilted my head in confusedment when I saw the horror in his eyes.

I followed his gaze and my jaw literally dropped on the floor when I saw the God of Classificus bathing in his own blood. My legs turned jelly.

I couldn't contain my shock that I dropped on the floor. Damon immediately went to the scene and check his pulse. His eyes widened. I know what he's going to say next. I cupped my face.

No! Who would do this to him?!

Diante can't be dead!
