"This will be your temporary chamber," Diante says and opens a room. My lips formed an 'o' when I saw the ambiace of the room.
It looks like a cave. Almost eveything is made of rocks. I see similar objects but majority are new to me. Maybe these are exclusively for Dragonia kingdom only.
"You want to change?" Damon asked. I scanned the room for good ten second before answering his question.
"Sure."
He escorted me on the bathroom. Diante gave us privacy and told us that they will be waiting for us on the battlefield.
I stared at my reflection. You can see just by looking at me that I'm not a dragonian. Must have been the reason why everyone's looking at me. I'm not wearing my fighting uniform and gear yet. I kept my Chosen outfir. They said that might protect me.
Actually, Hlaford gave me a warning beforehand.
I took the small paper out of my pocket. I accidentally touched it while we were walking here. Apparently, Hlaford used his bludgeon to put a secret message in my pocket.
I see danger, Golden. Do me a favor and watch each other's back. I know that you also feel the trouble that's about to come. Vestacios child. I'll be watching you.
What does he mean by that? Does that mean I was right? This is bad. I should let Damon know about this. He'll know that to do.
I changed into my fighter outfit. I cleaned and sharpened my sword. I never thought I'd do this this but I have this feeling that I have to.
Now I'm thinking. Maybe the reason why Hlaford couldn't come with us was because his life is in danger. Someone's trying to kill him. Ironically, he and Dragunus are cool with each other.
Maybe Dragonians are just like humans too. There are good and there are bad.
"What took you so long?" Damon asked and kissed my forehead. I smiled at him. I reluctantly took the small paper in my pocket and showed it to him.
"Hlaford gave this to me. He's warning us," I told him weakly. His jaw clenched.
"It's Greg," he called angrily. My forehead creased. What about his father? "He must have been frantic because Draco failed to be your parsen. He's been wanting that for so long. Now everybody's doubting his validity. Is he really the vortan mentioned on God Gaviel's prophecy."
My brows arched. He's right. Could it be...
"Chosen and Damon," a deep voice called from the other side of the door. I winced and stared at the wooden door before us when I heard several knocks. I thought they will be waiting? Tss.
I guess Dragonians don't wait indeed.
"Let's go," Damon said and holds my hand.
A really tall man greeted us when we opened the door. He's wearing a knight like outfit. Must be one.
"Everyone's waiting for you," he taunted and walked away. I frowned. So? Tss. Some dragons are jerks, huh? Lucky to have Damon then.
"Don't mind those kind of attitudes. Dragons are annoying by nature," he says jokingly. I chuckled.
Each step I take is thrice the pounding of my heart. I can feel their stares. I see mixed reactions and expressions. Some look disgusted and curious.
My lips formed an 'o' again when I saw the same classidium we have back in Spheria. The only difference is its ambiance and the people seated in the bleachers. Their auras are dark and evil. I don't know.
"Damon?!" a man called. I looked at the familiar man before us. We met before. "Thought they killed you in Spheria already. How you doin' man?" His eyes landed on me. I smiled. A familiar gesture from Damon happened. He covered me in his body. Such a possessive dragon.
"Oh hey there. Golden, right?" he says.
"Yeah," I answered and peaked in between Damon's arm and waist. He smiled.
"Are you nervous?" he asked in a friendly tone. I was about to asnwer when I saw a red monster coming towards us.
Who else could it be? It's Draco the envious freak.
"Oh chicken you're back? Ready to loose?" he taunted. My insides automatically heated. How dare he call my baby a chicken?!
"Asshole!" I muttered, loud enough for that red monster to hear. His eyes widened. Surprised jerk?
I pushed Damon slightly and confront this insecure guacamole. "Baby," he calls trying to stop me but I just ignore him. He's just going to let this red tomato call him a chicken? Well not for me.
"You think you're strong stinky tomato?" I slurred and looked at him from head to toe. His jaw clenched. Oh hell yeah get angry you freak.
"Baby stop," he calls and try to grab me but I shove his hand away.
I didn't hold back my anger and grab his collar. His eyes grew big from what I did. I can choke him to death but I stopped myself. Maybe later.
"Watch that filthy mouth of yours you stupid ostrich," I warned. I smirked when I saw the fear in his eyes.
Silence filled our spot. They all looked surprise that I'm ble to confront this ostrich bully. He thinks high of himself? Not anymore stup-
I wasn't able to finish my internal speech when a hand pulled me away from him. The next thing I knew is I'm on the ground and a woman is scratching my face.
"How dare you insect!" she yells and continued attacking me. I blocked my face. I groaned when I saw her being pulled away from me and the next thing I saw was hr being thrown away by Damon. But she didn't landed harshly because she turned herself to a dragon.
I touched my wounded face.
"This bitch," I whispered madly. She tpwent back into his normal form and stand beside Draco.
"You okay?" she asked him. What? They're parsens? "Should I just end her life?" she says dangerously and glared at me.
A girl's backing him up, huh? What a weakling.
Damon pulled me up and checked my face. "Am I bruised badly?" I asked. He shook his head.
"I told you to stop, didn't I?" he growled. I just rolled my eyes. Whatever.
"Hey," I called arrogantly. The girl raised an eyebrow.
I smirked and gave her a dirty finger. "Bitch whore. We'll see what you'll do later," I provoked. I don't know what has gotten into me but I just keep on taunting them. Where I'm getting all this courage?
My smile faded when she smirked diabolically.
"You think this is a friendly battle princess?" she slurs. "This is not your fairytale world bitch." She exhales fire.
"You're about to die here, princess."
