Golden's POV

"Ivaww!" he squealed. I stared at the closed door in front of me. It has my name on it.

I glanced at him. "Is this my room?" I asked sweetly and pointed the door. He nodded continuously and I smiled because of the overflowing cuteness. How can they call them ugly?

They're like so cute and their hair is so fluffy!

"Ivawww!" He handed me a key and I accepted it. He waved his hand goodbye and flew away.

I stared at the piece of metal sitting on my palm and I couldn't help but feel amazed because even a key looks extravagant in here. The head of the key is very detailed and the shining silver lace of it makes it a hundred times cooler.

I inserted the key on the knob and I winced when the door suddenly disappeared. I blinked my eyes and slowly take a step forward in the room. "Woah..." I whispered in the air.

The room looks very castle like and I couldn't take my eyes off the chandelier. It's very nice!

The room is spacious enough for two people. There are two beds in the middle and I think I should be occupying this room with my parsen, but unfortunately, I failed to have one. There's a really cool fireplace in the corner and a study area beside it, I supposed. I walked towards the door beside me and I smiled when I saw the bathroom.

It's not that different from the bathroom I had in my apartment before except from the sink and the walls that seemed to be made of solid natural rocks. I went back to the room and I glanced at the corner where a table for two is placed. I walked towards the balcony and I gasped when I saw the beautiful view of Spheria Kingdom.

This palace is located on a hill and I could see from here the humble town of Spheria. This is just like the human World, a place for a Chosen like me.

"I'm home," I mumbled.

I startled when I heard knocks from the door. I walked towards there and my lips parted when I saw an unexpected visitor. "Hello!" she squeaked. She excitedly shoved me to the side and entered my room.

"E-Elaine!" I smiled at her and closed the door behind me. "What brings you here?" I asked. She sat on one of the beds and I lingered at the door, looking at her.

"I'm just two doors away from your room, Golden. We're technically neighbors," she cheerfully said. Thank God! We are. I don't think I can make it this far without friendly Vortans like her. My eyes went down on the flower pot she's holding. There's soil in it.

"What's that for?" I pointed the pot and she smiled. "It's a root crop. I like giving these to my friends as a sign of friendship." She raised her eyebrows up and down. I chuckled when she went running on my balcony and placed the pot on the corner.

"You should water this regularly," she reminded. I watched her find a comfortable place for her token of friendship. "I don't really think root crops can grow at such tight places," I commented, referring to her pot. She rolled her eyes and I laughed softly.

"I can literally make it grow right here and right now," she snorted. I laughed and she laughed with me.

"Where's your parsen?" I asked.

"He's in the room," she answered. "All he does is read. His gift is telepathy and it's a disadvantage from me if we ever had a fight," she huffed and pouted her lips. I chuckled and sat at the armchair near the balcony.

"How about you? Where's your parsen?" she asked. My face falls and I was caught of guard. Should I tell her that my parsen is a dragon? I don't really think that would be a good idea.

From what I have observed, they don't like each other's races. I think if they knew that my parsen is a dragon, they would punish me and turn me in to an ivaw. They look cute but I'm not really looking forward of being one of them.

I can still remember how that Mythos and Wizardus fought the guards earlier for the sake of their friendship. They persisted and I'm not really sure if they were punished ot not. I hope not.

Why do they have to hate each other?

"Golden to Vortaxia. Vortaxia to Golden." My thoughts ended when Elaine snapped her fingers in front of me. "How can you think of something else while talking to me," she sarcastically said and chuckled. I shyly smiled because of embarrassment.

"So where's your parsen?" she asked again.

I was about to open my mouth and answer her when we heard chronological knocks from the door. "It must be Gabby." Elaine jokingly rolled her eyes and I chuckled.

She walked towards the door and opened it. "Yes?" she answered. I was staring at the flower pot on the corner of my balcony when Elaine gasped.

I curiously turned my head to look at the door and my eyes widened when I saw Hlaford. I immediately stand and bowed like Elaine. "G-God Hlaford!" Elaine squeaked. Hlaford glanced at me and I bowed even more.

"Good evening Elaine." Hlaford's voice echoed in the room and I lifted my head when he raised his hand. He glanced at me and our eyes met. "May I have a word with you Golden?" he asked.

Astounded, I nervously nodded my head and Elaine voluntarily exited the room to give us privacy.

Hlaford's POV

She grew up well.

I couldn't believe that Golden Young is now standing before me. I gave her a warm smile to lessen her tenseness. "What brings you here Go--" I cut her off.

"Just call me Hlaford, dear," I told her. She looks just like her mother. I wished Silver is with me right now.

"H-Have a seat, Hlaford."

I smiled at her. This will not be easy but I hope I can help her remember where she came from and what's her purpose.
