Chapter 49: punishment
2500words
Hunter instantly ordered Snowi to teach Laura a lesson, slapping her cheek repeatedly mercilessly. Jeseline also experienced the same thing at the hands of Liam, who carried out Hunter's orders with a heavy heart. After a while, Hunter raised his hand, giving them a code for them to stop. Snowi and Liam immediately stopped their action, breathing a sigh of relief before dropping onto the couch with their bodies tired.
Hunter, calmly and intimidatingly, approached Laura and Jeseline. He lifted their chin using the tip of his gun, examining the slap marks on the faces of the two. With a mocking smile, he confirmed that the punishment was equivalent to what they did to Ramona yesterday. Laura, with eyes filled with anger, hissed, "You're not afraid that my dad will get angry when he sees me like this? All of this is just because you're defending that cheap maid!"
Hunter just chuckled, trivially. "Don't be too confident, Laura. I've stopped all my cooperation with Godes. Killing you won't get me in jail, let alone hurt by your dad. In fact, you know what's funny? It was your own father who asked me to give you a lesson, so that his corruption in embezzling company funds would not be revealed. What do you think?" His words made Laura frown, not believing the reality she was revealing.
With a sarcastic smile, Hunter slowly swung his gun around Laura's face. "Snowi," he called out, "can you still paint? This face seems like the right medium for your dagger painting." Hunter then turned his gaze to Jeseline, staring at her right hand which was still covered in dried blood. "Jeseline, you still like to sculpt, don't you? This long arm seems to be suitable for your sculptural material. How about you cut it to the shoulders?"
Snowi and Jeseline exchanged glances, then approached with a terrible thin smile. Snowi tilted his head, pretending to think. "I haven't painted in a long time. Am I still an expert, huh? You won't be angry, right, if I scratch your face wrong?" Snowi sneered while looking at Laura with a sharp look. Jess smiled faintly and looked at Jeseline's hand. "This hand is also not bad for my latest collection. It's too long, but I can take advantage of it."
Hunter finally put the gun away, put it back in his black coat pocket, and then walked away. "I have business in the hospital. Snowi, Jess, you guys know what to do." Liam and Elors, who had just sat quietly before, stared at each other in fear. Elors muttered softly, "I didn't know that the face could be used as a medium for painting and if the hand could be used as a sculptural material."
Liam just swallowed a spit, frozen in place, realizing how terrifying Hunter's orders were that they were always carried out without hesitation.
"It seems like we're stopping being his bodyguards now it's not too late, do you want to come with me to make a letter of resignation?" offered Liam who was stunned by Elors.

Hunter did not immediately go to the hospital. Instead, he decides to stop by Belinda's mansion, a place where something bigger has to be done. With a steady step, Hunter entered the mansion, bringing a terrifying aura that was so powerful that it made the atmosphere feel tense. He didn't stop for a snack, heading straight to the place where his mother, Belinda, sat relaxed by the pool, enjoying the afternoon breeze while reading a magazine.
As if sensing his presence, Belinda turned her head towards Hunter, a little surprised but still maintaining her calm expression. "Hunter, when are you coming?" asked Belinda as she closed her magazine casually. However, Hunter's flat and cold gaze made the mood change. He did not take a seat, but stood erect before his mother, looking directly into her eyes.
"I can't possibly punish Mama," Hunter said coldly, "so say, what should Hunter do to Mama?"
Belinda narrowed her eyes, giving a faint smile that wasn't entirely sincere. "What do you mean, honey?" he asked in a soft tone, pretending not to know even though he could actually guess this had something to do with Ramona.
Hunter snorted, clearly not wanting to waste time. "Don't talk too much, Ma. Hunter doesn't have much time. Mama who took Ramona to the warehouse to be handed over to Laura and Jeseline, right? Why did you have the heart to do that to Ramona?"
The question made Belinda immediately stand up from her chair. His face turned serious, implying a restrained rage. "Because Mama doesn't like him!" she exclaimed firmly. "His status and caste are different from ours. What did you marry him for? Wasn't your original intention just to use it to capture Nick? Why did you fall in love with him in the first place?"
His anger only made Hunter sigh long, as if trying to contain his emotions. "Because Hunter just realized something, Ma," he replied in a calmer but still firm tone. "Nothing can make Hunter as happy and calm as he is right now than Ramona. Being nearby made Hunter feel safe, without any anxiety. And, as long as you know, you should thank Ramona."
Belinda frowned, confused by Hunter's words. "What do you mean?" he asked, though deep down he was beginning to feel uncomfortable.
Hunter looked at his mother sharply, then continued in a serious tone, "Nick is the mastermind behind Papa's murder. Papa is the first victim of a serial murder that Nick has committed so far. The evidence that Ramona found made the perpetrator finally caught and punished accordingly. Without Ramona, Mama probably would never have seen that justice happen."
Belinda fell silent, her body weak until she sat back down on the iron chair by the pool. His face froze, unable to say anything. However, Hunter didn't stop there. His voice grew colder as he continued, "And what? Mom instead worked with Nick to separate me from Ramona. Mama repeatedly asked Nick to marry Ramona immediately, without ever thinking about how dangerous Ramona's position was at that time. Hunter confessed, I used to be stupid. I held her son as a condition that he would carry out the spying duties. But I finally realized, Ma. Ramona is the only sincere woman who has ever been close to me."
Belinda could only look at her son with a blank stare, fixated by the reality Hunter had just revealed. He was unable to reply a single word, there was no more reason he could give to justify his actions. Hunter looked at her once more, then turned to leave the mansion with a decisive step, leaving his mother with a deep sense of guilt.
"And Hunter also couldn't deny when he saw Esther, Hunter's own flesh and blood, mama's granddaughter, with his young age he already understood and understood by saying that if he would obey all of Hunter's orders as long as I didn't hurt his mother, Hunter's heart couldn't do evil and cruel when he heard that message, they really loved each other and were sincere to each other, how could Hunter be able to separate her, let alone make it difficult," Hunter said explaining why he turned away from his previous plan, which was supposed to release Ramona according to the agreement, but Hunter fell in love with her.
Hunter took a deep breath before he said, "This time Hunter can't deny anymore, Mom, Hunter wants to protect and take care of Ramona forever, Hunter wants to make amends for all the mistakes of the past. Hunter's decision was unanimous, Hunter would marry Ramona. Whatever Mama decided, Hunter didn't care. Hunter just wants to protect Ramona." After saying that, Hunter went straight to the hospital.
Meanwhile, Belinda is still trying to digest everything, to understand what is really happening.
It turns out that he has been wrong all along. how he makes amends for his mistake with Ramona at this time.

Hunter arrived at the hospital with an aura of happiness that radiated so much. A wide smile was perfectly engraved on his lips, exuding a warmth that was rarely seen from his figure. In her arms, there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers that smelled like a fragrance, while in her hand she carried a gift box, signifying the care and happiness she was feeling. Every step towards Ramona's treatment room feels light, as if the world is brighter than usual. Anyone who saw it could have guessed: this man was in love, and that love made him feel alive.
However, the moment Hunter opened the door to Ramona's treatment room, the bright world suddenly changed. His wide smile instantly faded, replaced by a cold and sharp expression. Her eyes immediately fell on the figure of the man in the room, sitting in a chair near Ramona's bed, speaking intimately. The man was Rafle.
Hunter stood sculpting in the doorway for a few seconds, observing the scene that made his chest flutter. Her hand holding the bouquet of flowers tightened slightly, showing her dislike. Rafle's presence in this room really made his blood boil. Not only because Rafle was with Ramona, but also because of the man's relaxed gaze, as if he was challenging Hunter.
Hunter stepped in with a cold aura that pressed against the room. He placed the bouquet of flowers and presents on the table with a deliberate gesture that calmed him down, but his keen gaze remained locked on Rafle.
"Rafle," Hunter's voice sounded low but full of veiled threats. "I didn't know you had a habit of sneaking into someone else's treatment room uninvited."
Rafle just smiled faintly, looking at Hunter without fear. "Oh, I'm invited," he replied casually, glancing at Ramona who looked confused by the tension between them. "After all, I just made sure he was fine after everything that happened."
Hunter clenched his fists, feeling his anger peak. However, he tried to hold back. "If you've already made sure, then there's no more reason to stay here, right?" he said in a cold tone, gesturing for Rafle to leave.
Rafle stood up, raising both of her hands as if in surrender, but a mocking smile never left her face. "Sure, I don't want to interrupt your romantic time," he said, before stepping out of the room. However, before passing through the door, he turned his head back. "Oh, and Hunter, be careful. You know, love can sometimes make you lose focus."
Hunter just stared at the back of the departing Raple, his jaw hardened holding back the emotions. After the door closed, he took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before turning to face Ramona, who was looking at him with questioning eyes. Hunter smiled again, although this time it was softer. "I'm sorry, I'm late," he said, trying to get back into the warm atmosphere that had been disturbed earlier.
Ramona only smiled at Hunter's adorable face when she felt jealous of Rafle.
"You've never met, how can you argue right away?" asked Ramona in surprise, making Hunter sigh as he leaned his bouquet on the nightstand and put his gift there as well.
"I don't know, I feel like the aura is really annoying," Ramona chuckled at the answer that she thought was very funny.
Hunter pulled up a chair near the safe, grabbed Ramona's hand and kissed her gently.
"You want to eat?" Ramona shook her head slowly.
"Earlier Rafle helped me to eat and take medicine, later in the afternoon he can go home, he just wants to see my condition and meet Esther," Hunter narrowed.
"So he's been here all that long? To help you eat and take medicine? No wonder he left right away as soon as I came," Ramona chuckled again hearing Hunter's taunts that sounded funny in her ears.
Ramona held Hunter's burly hand and asked, "What did you bring?" as Hunter instantly turned into a very enthusiastic and took the gift he was bringing.
"Open!" Ramona immediately opened it with a big smile full of brilliance.
Ramona lit up, full of glass staring at Hunter, as if she couldn't believe the gift she was receiving.
"Hunter, this is so expensive, how do you know if I need this?" asked Ramona not believing that she could get something she had wanted for so long but couldn't afford it.
The prize was in the form of the latest graphics tablet with the most complete features for his design needs, a high-quality sketchbook and exclusive stationery for his design.
All of these were really needs that she had wanted but could not afford to buy because of limited capital and many needs that made Ramona unable to buy them at that time, as a result she could only use a few tools and materials that she could afford.
Ramona instantly hugged Hunter's neck with her happy sobs.
"Thank you very much, thank you," was all Ramona could give Hunter that sweet word.
Hunter just smiled and gently rubbed Ramona's back, he only gave small things but Ramona accepted them with happiness and tears, how could Hunter hurt her without caring about Ramona's feelings.
Ramona unraveled her hug and looked at Hunter, "How can you tell if I need this?" Hunter smiled and turned to sit on top of the safe.
"Whatever I know about you, from now on tell me everything about you, tell me all your wishes and dreams, I will give you the world and its contents, I will make all your dreams come true, you just need to be by my side, accompany me until old age and give me many children," Ramona chuckled at Hunter's words at the end.
Hunter grabbed Ramona's waist slowly and whispered, "Please eat plenty and take your medicine regularly so that you can recover quickly. After getting married, I want 3 rounds a day, shouldn't we be more diligent to produce more children?" Ramona immediately blushed with her embarrassed smile, making Hunter even more happy to tease her.
Hunter gently led Ramona to lie down and gently crushed those pale lips gently, intensely and slowly but full of passionate pleasure.
Meanwhile, outside, there was a doctor who was about to come to check but immediately turned around and held the shoulders of the nurse who was with him to turn back into the room after seeing the scene in the room.
"Why did you return to the dock?" asked the nurse.
The doctor replied, "Later, the patient is replenishing with natural energy." The nurse frowned at the doctor's words.
