"Maks, get some water and extinguish the fire,"
"Yes, Milord," Maks ran in another direction, towards the bathroom. He took some water in a bucket and threw it around but it was magical fire, water could not extinguish it. Aleksei ran towards the library and began collecting all the twelve books of heavenly secrets that Vierne had left on the table. He didn't know how to carry so many thick books alone, "Maks! Maks come here!"
Maks reached the library. His body was on fire. His hands and chest had burnt badly already, "Maks!" Aleksei shouted as he kept the books aside, "Oh my God, we need to treat you!" Suddenly, the chandelier fell from overhead and blocked the entry.
"Oh lord, Maks!" Maks fainted in the smoke and fell on the ground, "Maks! Maks!" The fire reached the books and Aleksei grabbed them between his arms. If one of them was damaged, the effect would be seen on that book possessed by every other star. And once damaged, they lose their magic.
He dragged Maks away from the fire and sat at the corner. The fire had begun to surround them, "Oh Maks, what do we do now?"
Lict had reached the ground again and Vierne punched his chest but he grabbed her fist, "Lobelia, Rosa Swogaris" Hundreds of swords surrounded Lict. Lict broke Vierne's fist and as soon as the sword launched towards him, he brought Vierne before him. The swords went through her stomach and her chest, "Vierne!"
Lict smirked and threw her aside. He ran towards Evgeni but Lobelia stood before him and made a shield, and stood before it with her sword. Lict made a black sword and they both started fighting. Fire surrounded all of them as Slavik prepared for another attack. Lict was chopping of all the plants leaping on him. Vierne pulled the swords out of her and her body healed.
'Every time I get hurt, my body heals,' She slowly got up, 'And every time it heals, it turns stronger.' She ran towards him with the sword in her hand. He fought both her and Lobelia at the same time.
Nadia and Belka ran towards him, "Perfect," Lict smirked.
"No! Get your star spirits away from him!" Akagi shouted and everyone looked at him. Lobelia jumped back. Lict dropped his sword and rose up. He spread his arms and gave out strong, dark radiation. A circle formed around them. The demigods remained unaffected but all the star spirits inside that circle were blighted.
"Nadia!"
"Belka!" Galkin and Slavik ran towards their star spirt but as soon as they entered inside the circle, Lict rose up the black walls of Vivana Musica and they shredded into pieces. Their bodies gave out spirit energy which was absorbed by Lict.
"Milord!" Belka shouted as her body became covered with purple bruises. Lict was about to kill them next when Vierne interfered. She swung her sword at him and simply dodged her. He grabbed her sword and she kicked him in the stomach.
"Fight me fairly," She winded the sword at him. He made a sword and ran towards her. They were busy fighting when Akagi reached Evgeni.
"I have a plan." Evgeni said, "Lobelia, Vyzov forma dva" Lobelia became a dagger and Evgeni held her in his hand, "We'll finish it with a single hit,"
Evgeni gathered his strength and ran towards Lict. He swung the dagger and Lict turned away from Vierne. The silver light emerged out towards Lict and Vierne ran away from him. Lict's eyes glowed red and the silver light hit him. There were a huge explosion and strong wind. Everyone covered their eyes, "Lobelia, revert," Lobelia turned back to her human form, "There, I've put an end to it." Evgeni said.
But as soon as the smoke cleared, they saw Lict. "No way, it didn't work on him," Evgeni was shocked. Lict was in an absurd posture which seemed like some sort of yoga.
He had bent his knees and lowered the feet close to head while lifting his torso from the ground, tailbone pointed forward.
"It's the Locust position," Akagi said.
"Why is Lict performing yoga in the middle of a fight?" Evgeni asked.
"Its purpose is to empty oneself so that the demon can invade the empty vacuum of his soul and possess it. The possession has started, we are losing him," Akagi said. Melissa looked at the darkening sky, "I can sense a demon,"
"Lobelia, stay here," Evgeni turned towards Lict and his hands began glowing white, "I'll use my Sila,"
Akagi and Evgeni ran towards Lict as the possession was in progress. Lict formed a black ring around himself, like Saturn and as soon as Akagi and Evgeni entered the ring, they dropped their weapons and stood there in awe.
"Milord!" Melissa shouted as the blight covered her. They were in a different world of hallucinations, breaking away from the real world, floating above the ground. Lobelia pulled Evgeni back and ran away. The diameter of the ring increased slowly. Evgeni was unconscious and tired. The mansion was on fire so she ran towards the lake and drew out her wings. The blight reached her and her wings got corrupted. They were bleeding as she flew with Evgeni in her arms.
"Milord," She flew up and blood fell on the leaves of the trees beneath. Slowly, it began to snow. Lobelia couldn't fly for much longer and finally fell down on the ground with Evgeni in her arms. Belka and Nadia lay dead in the blight as the snow began to cover them and bury them. Vierne stood just outside the ring and looked at Lict. Melissa was dead in the blight. It had infected everyone.
She stepped back and looked at the sky above her. She could see hell and demons entering the real world through a portal Lict had made into the sky. The sky had turned purple, the mansion behind her was burning and everyone was dead. She was the only one left. She turned back and ran with tears in her eyes. 'It happened again, so many people died because of me. I don't know if I can take it anymore.
I give up.
