I leaned into his touch, marveling at the connection between us. "I never imagined this was possible. To be known so completely and loved so deeply."
Under the canopy of stars, we shared ourselves completely, our bodies and souls merging until I couldn't tell where I ended and he began. Our bond pulsed with silver light, growing stronger with each touch, each kiss, each whispered promise.
Later, as we lay together on soft blankets beside the spring, Derek's arms wrapped protectively around me, I reflected on the journey that had brought us here.
"I came to Sterling territory seeking revenge," I said softly. "I was so consumed by hatred and the need for justice that I couldn't see any other future."
Derek's fingers combed gently through my hair. "And now?"
"Now I understand that love is stronger than revenge," I said, turning to look into his eyes. "What we have—what we're building together—is more powerful than any hatred could ever be."
He kissed me tenderly. "Your father would be proud of the woman you've become. Both our fathers would be."
I nodded, feeling a sense of peace I hadn't known in years. "They gave us the greatest gift—they protected our chance to find each other."
"And we'll honor that gift by building the kind of pack they dreamed of," Derek promised. "Together."
As we drifted toward sleep, wrapped in each other's arms, I felt the presence of Silver, my wolf spirit, content and whole within me. For the first time since my father's death, I felt truly at home—not in a place, but in the arms of the man who had become my everything.
The moon's light bathed us in silver as we slept, blessing the union that had been written in the stars long before we were born. Alpha and silver wolf, bound by love, destiny, and choice—a bond that would last for eternity.
The first rays of dawn filtered through the curtains, casting a golden glow across the nursery. I stood between two small cribs, watching my three-month-old twins as they slept peacefully. Ethan, with his father's strong features already evident in his tiny face, and Elara, whose silver-streaked hair marked her as clearly as mine did.
"They're perfect," Derek whispered, coming to stand behind me, his arms wrapping around my waist.
I leaned back against his chest, savoring the warmth and strength of him. "They are. And they're ours."
The pregnancy had been a surprise—we hadn't expected children so soon after our marriage. But when I'd felt the first stirrings of new life within me, our bond had practically exploded with joy. Derek had been beside himself, alternating between fierce protectiveness and awestruck wonder.
When the twins were born under a full moon, the entire pack had celebrated for three days straight. The birth of not one but two silver wolves—the first in generations—was seen as the ultimate blessing from the moon goddess.
"Council meeting in an hour," Derek reminded me gently. "Are you sure you're ready to return?"
I nodded. "Elena is happy to watch them. Besides, I've been helping with pack decisions from home for weeks now. It's time I took my place beside you officially again."
Since the twins' birth, I had focused on motherhood while still maintaining my role as Luna through regular reports and meetings in our home. But today would mark my formal return to pack leadership.
