Leo Wilde's ecstasy was almost overflowing. He had won. He had caught the Alpha's lifeline!
"Tie him up!" Leo ordered those Rogues under his command, "With silver-infused chains! Quickly!"
Several Rogues tremblingly stepped forward. Karen didn't resist; he just stared intently at Ella, allowing the cold chains coated with Silver Venom to wrap around his wrists. As soon as the silver touched his skin, it made a sizzling sound of burning, and black smoke rose up.
Karen's body violently shuddered once, but he endured the excruciating pain without making a sound.
"Leo!" Ella screamed, "Stop it! That will kill him!"
"So what?" Leo laughed triumphantly, tapping Ella's cheek with the side of his silver-infused dagger, "If he dies, won't our revenge be complete?"
"But you're torturing him!"
"He deserves it!" Leo's expression instantly turned ferocious, "When his father slaughtered our people, wasn't that a thousand times more cruel than this?"
Leo roughly pushed Ella in front of Karen, pressing a dagger against her back: "Look carefully, Ella. This is the fate of your 'destined mate.' He's powerful, but he's foolish. For you, he's willing to face death."
Karen was bound by silver chains, the Silver Venom seeping into his body, but he only looked at Ella and said hoarsely: "...Don't be afraid."
"How touching," Leo sneered.
Just then, a hoarse voice came from the direction of the tent.
"...Leo."
It was Jason.
The survivor from the Red Moon Pack whom Ella had just rescued from Silver Venom. He emerged, wobbling, supporting two other healed warriors.
