Was she dead? That was the question the young girl asked herself as she floats on the surface of the water. She remembered being shot and then falling off the cliff, her body slamming into the water so hard that her head split into many pieces.
She could sense that death was approaching her before she blacked out, but she only opened her eyes to notice that reality might not be what she expected.
The young girl swam out of the river, relieved to see that she was still alive, and examined her tattered clothes, which appeared to be in poor condition. It was the first time she saw herself as a beggar.
When she thoroughly examined her body, she discovered that all of her gunshot wounds had vanished, as if she had never been shot in the first place. The only evidence that she had been shot were the bullet holes in her clothes, which demonstrated that she was not dreaming and that she was very much alive.
The last few days had been a nightmare for her; after discovering she was a clone, she nearly died in the hands of the man she had trusted and given her heart to. How can the world be so astute?
Because it was late at night, she didn't realize anything was wrong with her current self. She just wanted to go somewhere and get some clothes to wear, but who knew she'd meet a pervert who wanted to take advantage of her.
Just thinking about it, she had no idea what she did, but she ended up with a bloody mouth after feeding on the other guy. This truly astounded and terrified her. She didn't want to believe she'd turned into the monster she'd seen and read about in books, "a vampire."
She refused to believe it, but as someone who had killed another, she needed to flee or else she would be the one on the receiving end of the blade if those people found her.
Before fleeing, she searched the other man for his belongings and took his money. As she fled, she noticed she was moving at an unusually fast rate for a human.
When she found a 24-hour shop, she bought clothes with the money she stole from the dead guy and then vanished into the woods because she didn't have any identification documents with her. She had seen a few detective movies and knew that being in the spotlight would only bring her dangers.
The final test to determine whether she was a vampire or not was standing in the sunlight, which she regretted the moment those rays fell on her. It was as if she was being barbecued, and the memory was so vivid in her mind that just thinking about it made her shiver with fear.
She had to accept the fact that she was now a blood sucking vampire who had to feed on humans or animals in order to survive. Her life had remained the same for over two years, and she had continued to feed on the first animal she came across.
This truly made her so excited that she began to move to bigger cities as it was the place that she could earn a lot of money after all she was someone who was going to live for a very long time and didn't want to work for an eternity. So working and saving money was a must and the only job that she could get that didn't require her with a lot of expenses was to become a maid and that is exactly what she went for despite being young.
It was that conviction that led her to be in Chandler's villa as an ordinary maid before getting promoted in just a week so serve that black-bellied person. This wasn't truly bad as she got to meet such a wonderful and loving husband who only has her in his eyes.
She thought her judgment day had arrived and she was being judged for all the horrible things she had done, but who knew that after being in such pain for more than a day, a new change occurred. Another major cell mutation had occurred; she had no idea what caused it, but all she knew was that it provided her with significant benefits.
Vanity, as she was now known, could walk during the day, and that wasn't the only benefit of this major change; she could also eat human food, despite the fact that she still relied on blood to survive. In other words, Vanity had evolved into a rare breed of vampire known as "A DAY LIGHTER."
This truly enthralled her, and she began to relocate to larger cities, where she could earn a lot of money; after all, she was someone who was going to live for a very long time and didn't want to work for an eternity.
So, working and saving money was a must, and the only job she could get that didn't require her to incur a lot of expenses was to become a maid, which is exactly what she did despite her youth.
It was that conviction that led her to be in Chandler's villa as an ordinary maid before being promoted in just a week to serve that black-bellied person. This wasn't all bad because she met such a wonderful and loving husband who only sees her in his eyes.
Chandler, who was holding his wife in his arms, was listening to this story. She had never told him how she became a vampire in the past, but his wife was in a good mood after Heidi gave her a teddy bear.
He didn't know whether to laugh or cry when he realized her past had been revealed. However, he was only happy because he now knew where the missing puzzle pieces were.
He was extremely grateful to everyone who contributed because they sent him his lamb. He would never have looked in her direction if she had lived a good life. She would have married that little brat who died in agony and lived a life devoid of love and care.
He was so enraged by the prospect of that possibility that he wished he had been the one to put an end to Nolan.
"I love you, wife," Chandler said as he kissed the top of her head, drawing her closer into his embrace.
"I adore you as well, husband."
He was certain that he would always have her in his heart. No one else will take his heart as he belongs to this naughty day lighter in his arms. His only wish was to see a child that the two of them could create, despite the fact that he knew it was impossible. A man was permitted to fantasize.
"What nefarious plans do you have?" Vanity inquired as she turned her head.
Chandler chuckled as he realized he had been apprehended, which only left one way for his beloved wife to stop asking for more.
It was too late by the time Vanity realized what was going on. She was eaten inside and out, thoroughly and very clean, because her husband wanted to avoid answering one question, and she woke up in the afternoon the next day.
She couldn't even reprimand him because she knew that no matter what he did, her heart would always be with that black-bellied man and she would never leave.
He was the man who made her so eager to reveal the secrets she had hidden deep within and locked away in a room out of sight of everyone. He was her beloved husband, and she was grateful that she was born into this world, regardless of the method used.
