Chapter 176: Have a surprise for you

Waking up without lynn beside me wasn't something I wanted to get used to. She may not have been living with me for long but having her by my side during those mornings was my own little slice of heaven. Lynn and luis were coming home today, and I couldn't wait. Lane and I were going to set up for our first recording tomorrow and I kind of wished luis were here for it. He was so excited to join my new studio and I knew he wanted to be a part of everything. I could probably hold off until they returned, then I could steal lynn away for a few hours while luis and Lane set everything up. I trusted them without my supervision. I think.
"Hey, man! You're here early," Lane said as he entered my office, but it wasn't him that held my attention.
Ruby was right behind him, and I pinned Lane with my glare. I didn't care what Lane did with his dick, but if he screwed this up because he fucked a nice girl and then ditched her, I'll be livid. It was hard to find good employees and he knew that.
"It's fine, brother," Lane said, glaring back at me.
He knew exactly what was going on inside my head. Ruby didn't and could only smile shyly at me as she entered.
"I hope it's not weird that I'm here on a Sunday, but Lane said it might be beneficial to get me started right away." She twirled her finger through her hair and looked down at her feet.
Holy shit this woman was vanilla. Why did she want an accounting gig with a porn studio, again? She had the best resume I'd seen in a long time, but something was off here. Why did she come all the way from Arizona for this job? Did she know Lane was here? She didn't peg me as the stalker type, but I'd been wrong before.
"No, not at all. I'm actually glad you came. He's right for once. I can get you set up in your temporary office while Lane and I start to set up our first scene."
Lane laughed. "Please tell me we're starting with the hot tub scene."
I pinned him with my glare again. "No, horn-dog, we're starting with a bedroom scene. I don't want to start my company with a freaky scene. Those can come later once we've established ourselves a bit more."
"Well, if you need inspiration, Ruby and I had some hot bedroom sex last night. We could assist in ideas." He threw Ruby a wink and I swear her cheeks turned the same shade as her name.
"Knock it off, man," I scolded. "What have I told you about scaring the help away?"
Ruby giggled and coughed at the same time, clearly trying to stay out of this. I'd seriously kill Lane if he screwed this up. It was something I kept thinking about, but I meant it. Lane would be dead and then I'd bring him back just to kill him again.
"Let's end this awkward conversation and get Ruby set up in her office."
I rounded my desk and smacked Lane upside the back of his head before I gestured for Ruby to exit. We went to her office down the hall from mine before I showed her the quick setup on the computer and the stack of files I needed to put into the accounting system. Once she seemed comfortable enough, I grabbed Lane's arm and led him back to the studio.
"What the hell, man?" I asked as soon as we were alone.
Lane laughed and held up his hands. "What? I won't screw this up, Drake. I... I actually like her. It's different with her."
"It better be. We can't afford to-"
"We're baaaaaack!!"
Luis's shriek was like music to my ears. I ignored Lane and turned to find lynn and luis walking in. My eyes glued to hers as a smile split my face. My girl was home and I finally felt complete. I didn't want to take her family time away from her, but I can't let her go again, at least not without me. I missed her too much.
I stormed up to lynn and lifted her in my arms. She let out her sweet giggles, holding herself up by my shoulders as she grinned down at me. God, she was somehow more gorgeous than she was just a few days ago. Or maybe I just missed her that much.
"Welcome home, baby," I said as I slid her down my body, holding her tightly to me. "I've missed you."
She cupped my face, darting her eyes all over my face. "I think I might have missed you more. By the way," she said as she stepped back and ran her eyes down me, "I like this. Blue jeans and a stark white shirt? Your decorated skin pops and I kind of want to lick you."
I burst out laughing. "God, I truly have missed you. Don't get comfortable here, lynn. I'm going to leave these buffoons here to work while I take you home and have my way with you."
Her brows playfully wiggled. "Promise?"
"Okay!" I shouted as I turned to face Lane and luis. "You two know what to do, yeah?" I pointed at luis. "I've gone over the plans with you. You think you can handle it for a few hours? I'd like to steal lynn away for... to..." I didn't know how to say it.
"You want to fuck Molly's brains out. Got it," luis said with a wink. "We've got everything covered here, D-man. You two get out of here."
"Luis! What have I told you about being so vulgar?" Lynn scolded him with a grin, and I knew she wasn't all that mad.
Luis waved us off with a smirk before he turned to Lane and got to work. This was exactly why I trusted luis with this. He might have liked to screw around a lot, but the guy had a serious work ethic. I trusted him with my life.
"Come on, I have a surprise for you." I took her hand and led her toward the exit. "I've been going crazy without you."
She giggled. "I was only gone for the weekend."
I stopped and turned toward her, pinning her against the wall. Her tight body pressed up against mine and I couldn't keep my hands off of her. I held her wrists above her head with one hand and caressed up toward her breasts with the other.
"So, you're telling me this weekend wasn't brutal without me?" I was teasing her, trying to get a reaction, and it totally worked.
