Late at night, Larah was in her room sitting on the window. Her hand held an envelope that the chief wrote for Radella and she got from Nala. The envelope was sealed cause she wanted the rightful owner to be responsible for that.
She glanced at the princess's manor and saw the demon lord heading there. Were late hours but he wanted to visit princess. Larah quickly jumped from the window and run toward the manor.
Before the demon lord stepped near the entrance someone jumped to stand in front of him.

His eyes deepened cause happened very fast. He watched the girl blocking his way disdainful
"Pardon my rudeness is my duty to protect her. I hope you will understand what I mean" Larah told him
"You mean I have to pass through you to get in?" he smirked
Larah's expression changed as if she was ready to fight him if was the last thing she had to do to stop him from getting in. She changed her stance and held her rope properly.
He found that interesting. she was just a witch but so bold to face him only to protect someone.
Suddenly the door of princess manor slammed open. Larah turned her eyes only to see the person she tried to protect standing at the doorway.

However, her eyes looked slightly different from Nala she knew. She faced the Neleva lord with straight eyes a thing she never did.
"Is there something I can help my Lord to visit me these hours?" Nala asked
In her voice wasn't any trace of fear a thing which surprised Larah more. How much courage did she gather?
"I was bored. Tomorrow morning take me around your village"

She watched Larah then turned to him "I also have a favor to ask from you... please let my brother free"
Larah never expected Nala to use the such opportunity.
"your brother? do as you wish" he said and turned to leave
After he left Larah followed Nala inside. Only after she stepped inside did Nala inhaled deeply.
"You did well" said Larah
Larah thought she was the one who tamed Nala but now she turned into a stranger.
"You were right. The one who deserve to suffer shouldn't be me" she turned and faced Larah "From now on I will take care of myself" gave a tiny dry smile and walked to the bed.
Larah stared at her for a moment "Whatever you do remember who you're right now"
Soon Larah arrived in the cell where Jared was locked. Guards opened the gate and was allowed to leave.
His face had a lot of bruises but she knew due to his stubbornness to accept the demon's authority.
She noticed his eyes gazed side and sides.
"She isn't here but the gate opened because of her"
Jared walked past Larah as if she didn't exist. She remained rigid for seconds in disbelief then followed behind.
They arrived at a princess manor. She thought he was going to get in but he stared at the entrance for seconds putting on an expression she didn't understand.
Then he left.
Somehow she felt Jared has been avoiding princess since the day Nala said didn't remember them or might be after he talked with his father.
Early morning Larah walked into the princess room. She saw Nala sitting in front of a dressing table watching maids helping her with her hair.
Her dress surprised her and did she just use makeup?
"I didn't think these were necessary when meeting with him" said Larah
Nala took earrings from the table and put them on. She looked stunning but far from Radella's character.
some time later Nala walked outside up to where a man waited for her.
The man waited with two horses behind him. Nala who never used such things her steps hesitated to go further.
He was stunned staring at Nala but he recalled whenever he met with her was in pants but now in a dress.
At that time other horses approached them. One of the horses was Larah and the other was Jared. They stopped their horses not far from them then Jared said
"She is the only family I have. letting her alone with demons would be sacrificing her"
Nala's eyes widened not trying to believe as she watched Jared. He didn't fear provoking demons for his sister and no one ever done that for her.
Demon lord's expression darkened and everyone thought he was going to destroy someone. But then his lips curled up
"That will be funnier"
He hopped on the horse and both glanced at Nala who was the one remained.
Nala walked a few steps and stood in front of the horse. She asked herself how could she sit to such a huge animal.
"Should I help you?" the demon lord asked
They thought was because of her dress she failed to climb on.
"No need" she said
Larah and Jared were about to go and help her but someone was there earlier than them.
Nala was startled when hands grabbed her waist and lifted her to sit on the horse. She bent fearing to sit then turned to watch the man so closer to her.
Her brows furrowed.
"Radella do you want me to believe you are such a fragile princess" with a little smile he teased
The distance he used to speak with her made Jared clouded and Larah noticed that. She never understood such look on him so she ignored.
Nala raised her back to sit straight.
Soon they were riding on the road. At first, Nala struggled to keep balance but when she watched how others did she grew better and adapted.
She was so happy that she couldn't hide her bright smile.
They arrived down the market and only after people saw them they shouted
"Demon and princess are here"
Some people run to hide and those who were late lowered their eyes not daring to face them.
Nala was taken aback with the reaction she could understand why they shouted demon and got scared but why included the princess.
The demon lord was amused than ever. He watched behind to her perplexed face.
"You were supposed to show me around but you have been the one followed behind" he said
Nala rode her horse forward and he rode side with her. Suddenly he kicked Nala's horse.
The horse started running at a high speed.
Larah to see that immediately started chasing the horse to help Nala then joined by Jared.
Nala hugged the horse fear filled her from head to toe she thought was how she was going to die.
Larah's horse speed exceeded Jared and her eyes started changing color from dark to blue. But when she was about to reach the horse suddenly stopped.
Larah changed to normal.
They faced forward only to see Demon lord standing in front and he wasn't on a horse.
Nala still closed her eyes shivering and when she felt everything calmed she opened her eyes. She glanced at the man before her in disbelief, anger and hatred.
'I must kill you before I leave' Nala's mind linked him.
She knew wouldn't work but she wanted to say that.
Whoever thought he heard that. He kept smiling.
"I hope you will make it more interesting. When I think about this I think we have gotten closer but you still don't know my name ..." He made steps but Larah and Jared stood in front of Nala.
"Arthur" he told her
