She sat under the huge tree, her green eyes focused on the book while her long black curly hair in a messy burn. Didn't take long for her to fall asleep and leaned her head on the tree using the book to cover her face.
The surroundings were calm with refreshed air and no one could be seen nearby except for the green trees and the brown horse.
The horse gave a noise and woke her from deep slumber. She stretched her neck and eyes glanced at her favorite animal with a satisfied gaze.
The teenage girl, her skin between black and white, and had a long black curly hair, wearing long black panties and a shirt both having loose sleeves stood to gather her things.
She put inside the bag and strode near the horse and held the rope and quickly hopped to sit on top.
The moment she sat the horse made furious cries and raised its front hooves.
"Argh damnit!" She gritted her teeth because she knew what to happen next. After all her horse was crazy and already suffered than once because of that.
The horse kept making noises, and started running straightforwardly in a higher speed. If wasn't a gift she would've abandoned it a long time ago.
The horse as if heard and understood what she thought increased the speed becoming more harder to tame it.
In front of her not too far was a river and thought the way to save herself was to jump.
However, before she took the action she heard a beautiful melodious whistle and strangely the sound of the whistle halted the horse.
When the horse calmed she jumped and her eyes rolled around to find the person who made the whistle because she was sure was of a human.
From afar one of the trees she saw birds flying up and a slight gust of wind hit her face beside all of that she did not see anyone. Her eyes widened and stared in the direction of the waved trees where the birds fled. She became too curious and wanted to know him or her.
immediately she jumped and started the horse to the forest toward that place. The forest had long trees and green leaves forming a sky while on the ground were large roots.
She passed them over and over till her eyes saw a person jumped from one branch to catch another. She could only see his broad shoulders, and his big coat with hat.
When she kept following him, he suddenly stopped but still, all she could see was his back.
She paid attention to identify him, percent sure he was the one she expected to see. They stayed silent for a few seconds and when she wanted to open her mouth the man jumped to another tree running
"Is he running from me?" She sneered.
Without putting much thought, she started chasing him, jumping large roots, fallen trees, and holes as long as she would catch that disfigured person.
Her eyes focused more on the target than what was forward and that was when the log popped in front of her.
She bent backward and the log missed her but the horse was at a speed that she fell. The place she landed was a hole and she fell Inside.
She groaned in pain glancing at her bruised leg and lifted her eyes to see the height of the hole, was enough to swallow her
'damn it!'
She stood up to find the way out. She tried to jump but the height was too high and when she tried climbing the soil sloppy.
Her mind was in a mess about how to help herself and then the rope dropped inside. Was a strong rope made from branches and she knew someone helped her and couldn't be anyone than the source of her being in the hole.
After she helped herself and got out, she watched both sides but wasn't any sign of any person.
She turned to face her horse and raised her hand to hit and teach a lesson but stopped and faced forward. When she walked her horse followed behind.
Later in the evening, at the training field she stood middle of the field holding a sword with her both hands. She held tightly and faced the man before her intently and the person was her was a good looking young man with grey eyes who held a spear.
She lunged forward and attacked. Her movements were fast and flexible almost unnoticed.
The young man was skilled in using a spear and seemed experienced in countless fights but still he barely blocked her attacks.
She stopped and stared at him then sighed with disappointment "You're getting old"
"Insolence! You dare attack your teacher!"
He remained silent for a moment before he said "Your progress scares me. Radella, What if you won't get a husband? No, I can't allow my sister unmarried for her whole life"
"Jared!" She pointed the sword at him
She lowered her sword and turned to leave.
The moonlight brightened the people of the Netha village. The village of humans with magic and sometimes known as witches.
Everything was going well but in a blink of an eye, everyone was filled with horror after the bright moon turned dark and brought deep darkness into the entire kingdom.
They panicked especially those who understood the meaning behind that change. The dark cloud in a round shape covered the moon like a blanket.
Chief saw the situation his jaw tightened and thought inwardly 'Queen of witches!"
When everyone's hearts ran in fear, Radella was in her room reading a book about the war between werewolves, witches and humans. She learned that if a werewolf crossed the witches' boundary would be executed and the same went for witches to werewolves and humans.
She closed a book and stared at the cover thoughtful. The war was meaningless but everyday people from different species kept dying. To her opinions werewolves the cause of everything.
They were powerful and worse some had magics like witches and their goals to rule the others. She thought only if werewolves were destroyed maybe there was a chance for a peace but still there were civil wars between own races.
When she was in deep thought the red fluid dropped on the cover. She stared with confusion but then another drop. She touched her nose and looked at her fingers to realize her nose bleeding.
"Darn!" She scurried to the bathroom.
There she came across the long mirror. Her steps halted because of what she saw in her reflection. Her black hair was gone remained white hair, her eyes were dark with no pupils and red veins could be seen at the bottom of the eyes circle.
Was like she turned into a monster. Her eyes went wide than ever. She walked closer to the mirror but before she could reach any further her body became weak and dropped.
While later she opened her eyes to find Jared looked at her with concerned eyes. She recalled the last moment before she passed out, her eyes widened, and abruptly jolted from the bed.
"Radella are you okay?" with worries he asked
She touched her hair checking them. She sighed with relief cause were black. Was it only a dream? she asked herself. But then the book beside her bed still had red marks. No, wasn't a dream.
"Radella!!" Jared called loudly after got no response multiple times.
She was startled and looked at him. "What happened?"
"That's what I wanted to ask you. Maids found you passed out in a bathroom. Are you alright?"
At that time chief stepped inside with a certain middle-aged woman wearing round earrings. She was known as a wizard in the clan. The wizard to meet eyes with Radella, her hands started shaking terribly and everyone saw it.
"Adira? something wrong?" chief asked
"Eh... am... I don't know " She returned to normal and walked to Radella examining her. "She fainted because of two powerful energy colliding inside her. I'm not sure about the other one but the second ... isn't safe for her and anyone else. I can see only darkness in it." she explained with her shacking voice
"What are you trying to tell us? is there any danger to her?" Jared asked
"She... is the danger herself. For now nothing will happen but slowly everything will reveal itself"
Later on, the wizard walked outside with the chief.
Jared grabbed the hand of Radella "Don't be afraid nothing will happen to you. Both me and my father will protect you"
"Nonsense. Nothing will happen to me. And don't treat me like a child am not afraid of anything"
"Your hands are sweating..."
"Hey!!" She removed the hand immediately. Indeed she was afraid. Not because of what the wizard told her but what she saw before she fainted.
