Chapter 43
1310words
I hope this information is worth all the money I have paid for it.
My gaze drifts down the length of the mall to a small staged setup at the other end. It is only a few more minutes before Trevor and his group will arrive.
According to the information I was given, he should walk right past me to go to the small waiting area they have set up a short distance from the stage.
Giggles bubble within me, and I fight back the urge to let it free. This is really happening. I’m finally going to see Trevor again.
My fingers itch to run through his shiny, dark hair. I could sit for hours staring into his warm, tender brown eyes.
Pleasure pulses through me as an image of me capturing his luscious lips pops into my mind.
Why stop at his lips? I will devour him whole. It is only a matter of time now.
After a few minutes, I can’t hold it any longer and squeal like a schoolgirl about to meet her crush for the first time. It has been so long since I’ve last touched his tan skin.
My heart races and my stomach flutters.
Only a few more minutes now.
I glance down at my watch.
My hand sways slightly back and forth while holding a bag filled with gifts, I plan on giving him.
I can’t wait to see his expression when he sees what I’ve gotten him.
My informant has told me Trevor has a full schedule and doesn’t have time afterwards to meet with me, but maybe with future events, he will have the time. If not, I’ll find a way for him to make time for me.
Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait for my big present until then, or when I can get him to myself. I’m sure he will love it.
My frustrations rise as I mentally go through the various things I have planned for us, but have to keep putting them off. At some point, he won’t be able to keep putting me off. I’ll get him alone and show him what kind of woman he is missing.
Who can turn a rich, sexy, and gorgeous woman like me down? No one.
The corner of my mouth slowly curls upwards.
He will be mine soon.
Nothing is going to stop me.

Trevor POV
I itch the side of my nose as a crease forms along my forehead.
Tiffany nudges my arm. “Are you alright?”
I look to my side at her concerned expression and give her a crooked smile. “Yeah, everything is fine. My nose itches. Someone must be talking about me.”
I turn my attention towards the front of the van and out to the busy road in front of us. Halfheartedly, I add, “I wonder who.”
The truth, though, is I don’t really want to know. I probably already know who.
A cold shiver runs down my back.
Tiffany leans against my side and puts her head on my shoulder. Her long black hair drapes across my chest. “Don’t worry. I’m going to be right next to you for as long as you will have me. I’ll chase away anyone who tries to do anything to you, but there is going to be a small payment you will have to give me.”
My eyebrow raises. “Payment, uh. Will I be able to afford this payment?” I slide my arm around her shoulders and pull her tighter against my side.
I could stay like this forever.
She nestles her head up against my neck. “Oh, I’m sure you will be able to afford it. Money isn’t involved.” Her luscious lips ghost the side of my sensitive neck, igniting a fire within me.
I bite my lower lip, trying to keep the moan rumbling around in my chest from escaping.
What does she think she is doing? We have an event to do.
I can’t show up with a boner.
How would I explain that?
Plus, the pictures from the event will be on the internet forever. I can’t think of all the theories the fans will come up with to explain the bulge in my pants. The options are endless.
They won’t miss it either.
They have eagle eyes which catch every little thing. I’ve lost count the numbers of times fans have called out other actors for hickeys or other things. I swear the fans have an uncanny power to spot anything and everything not quite right.
My voice waivers. “Please, don’t do that.”
I can feel her smiling against my neck as she playfully asks, “What am I doing? I have done nothing yet.”
Jane spins around in the front passenger seat and looks over her shoulder with a stern face. “Tiffany, stop it. We all know you are teasing Trevor. You can do that after the event, but not before. Remember, we didn’t bring a makeup artist with us today. There will be no one to hide a hickey if you get feisty and give him one. The fans will go crazy, but I don’t want to answer questions about it right now. We need to stay focused for other reasons.”
Her last few words hammer home the one thing I’ve been trying to forget this entire time.
My heart races as my mouth instantly goes dry.
Tiffany’s moist lips peck on my sensitive neck. I nearly jolt upright as she huffs, “I’m trying to keep his mind off things. Don’t worry. I wasn’t going to give him any hickeys. I’m aware there isn’t anyone to cover it up.”
She snakes her arms around my waist. “Did you get the security team? Are they aware of the crazy witch and the fact she can’t come anywhere near Trevor?”
Her playful and teasing personality is gone, and she is now down to business.
Jane nods. “Yes. I’ve got plenty of security, and they were all instructed on what to watch out for and who to keep from letting into the restricted area. This is my top priority.”
Her words provide me little to no comfort.
There was security at the studio too, and the crazy lady still got past them and into the studio.
Her shrill voice rings in my ears.
I jump as Tiffany’s moist lips graze my delicate neck again. Flickers of desire ignite within me, but I ignore them and focus on the upcoming event and why I need to stay focused.
I kiss the top of Tiffany’s head. The fruity smell of her hair products fills my nose and calms my frazzled nerves.
I pause and take another deep breath.
Tiffany whispers, “Baby, are you alright?”
Her sweet voice chases away the irritating shrill one in my mind.
I nod. “I am now. Stay close to me, though. I have a feeling I’m going to need you more than we thought.”
She pecks my neck and, with her mouth hovering over my sensitive skin, she replies, “I’ll be right there. Don’t worry.”
The driver clears his throat. “We will reach the mall in a few minutes.”
My heartbeat quickens, and my eyes dart to the front and to the road ahead of us.
Will the crazy witch be there?
Tiffany whispers, “Don’t think about her. Only think about me and the event. Nothing else.”
I would give anything to do that, but I know that isn’t possible.
I slowly nod. “Uhmm…”
The vehicle falls into an uncomfortable silence as the seconds slowly tick by.
My focus drifts to the buildings buzzing by.
A moment later, the van pulls up to the mall and the driver grunts, “We are here.”
My blood runs cold, and my eyes dart back and forth out the side of the van towards the front of the building. Is she somewhere here?
