Chapter 12

Trevor POV
With a spring to my step and a wide grin etched into my face, I leave the studio and head to my car. The drive back to my apartment seems to take longer than normal. My finger taps the side of the steering wheel while my eyes stay focused on the road.
Is Tiffany still there?

My stomach flutters at the idea of her welcoming me back home. Her bright smile and sparkling eyes will brighten even my worst days.
The tapping on the wheel quickens as I bite my lower lip. An image of Tiffany wearing only an apron pops into my head. My cock comes to life as I lick my lips and stop at a red light.
Her pale skin glimmers under the dim lights and begs to be touched and marked. I wrap my fingers around the steering wheel as Tiffany gives me a playful smirk and seductively asks, “What do you want to eat tonight?”
My pants tighten as my bulge grows and strains against the thick fabric, begging to be set free.
The image in my mind then morphs to last night as I hover over her glistening naked body while I pound into her hard and rough. The sheer ecstasy on her face ignites a burning desire within me, while her needy moans echo in my ears.
Heat rushes through me as I shift in my seat.

My cock twitches, and I wish I could be next to her right now, reliving our amazing night of sex again.
HONK!! HONK!!!
My heart slams against my chest, and I jump slightly as my eyes dart up to the stoplight above, which is now green. Cars whizz past me while I slam my foot down on the accelerator, throwing me back into the seat.
I take a few deep breaths and push the thoughts and images of Tiffany out of my mind. I want to get home, but I don’t want to get into an accident along the way either.

When I finally pull into the parking lot beside my apartment, I breathe a small sigh of relief. Every part of me wants to jump out and run up to her, but I take a moment and stare up at my apartment’s windows. A faint smile dances along my lips as my fingers lightly tap the steering wheel.
After a few minutes, I climb out of my car and head upstairs. With each step, my feet move a little faster until I’m practically running through the building.
My heart races as I fumble and almost drop my key before I slide it into the lock. I burst through the door, hoping Tiffany will be there waiting for me, like in my daydream earlier.
I look around the dark room. The only light in the room flows in from the kitchen, but the silence sends a jolt of fear through me.
Is she still here? Please let her still be here.
I dash to the kitchen, but it is empty.
My heart pounds and echoes in my ears. A wrapped plate of food sits on the counter with a note on it, but the kitchen is spotless, like Tiffany hasn’t been here at all.
My stomach twists as I walk over to the plate.
My lip trembles as I let out a shaky breath and pick up the note.
Trevor,
I didn’t know when you were coming back, and I got hungry. I saved some for you. Hope you like it.
Love,
Tiffany ❤️
My heart skips a beat as my gaze stops on the word love and then the small heart after her name. Is she still here? I have to see her.
I put the note back down and rush out of the kitchen down the hall to my bedroom. A smile explodes on my face as I stop in the doorway and spot her snuggled up with blankets in my bed.
I slowly make my way to her and stand beside the bed as I stare down at her beautiful sleeping face. My hand itches to touch her long dark lashes and trace the curve of her nose. My fingertips would then ghost along her plump lips.
I lean down and gently kiss her forehead. With my face hovering slightly above hers, I whisper, “Thanks for the food, and I’m so happy you are still here.”
She smacks her lips and moves slightly in her sleep.
Warmth engulfs my heart as I stand back up straight and stare down at her.
Why did I wait so long to test her resolve to keep things professional between us? I could have been coming home to this every day much sooner.
I memorize every little dip and crease on her gorgeous face. After a few minutes, I turn and head back out to the kitchen. Mentally, I kick myself for not getting off work earlier. We had started earlier than normal, but I couldn’t concentrate and kept screwing up my lines. But no matter what I did, I couldn’t stop thinking about Tiffany and our night together, which meant I couldn’t concentrate on the scene or my lines.
With the images of her gorgeous face bouncing around in my head, I sit down at the dining room table and eat the meal she made for me. I want to hurry and go to bed, but I also want to savor the first meal she has made.
Ding.
I pull my phone out of my pocket. Who could it be? It is almost 11 pm.
My eyebrows furrow together as I see the director’s name flash across the screen. I sit up straight as a small wave of panic hits me. Did I do something wrong today?
I gulp down my food all at once as I open the message.
My stomach sinks as I read it and then re-read it.
‘Come in a couple of hours early tomorrow.’
What does he want? It is a simple message, but it can also mean something more serious. Were my mistakes that bad today? Am I in trouble?
While I debate his true meaning, I quickly open my alarm and move it up by a few hours, which means if I don’t go to bed soon, I won’t get too many hours of sleep.
I glance back down at the plate. The food is delicious, and I like it, but I guess I won’t be able to enjoy it too much. I need to go to bed right now.
Reluctantly, I shovel the rest of the food into my mouth and swallow it down as fast as I can before I head to the bathroom. I take a quick bath and get ready for bed. Once again, I stop beside Tiffany’s side of the bed, and I stare down at her for a moment.
I’m the luckiest man on Earth.
My eyes drift over to the note I left her this morning. I quickly scribble her another one and set it on top of the previous one, before I walk around to my side of the bed and crawl in under the covers. I slide up along her side and snuggle up against her bare back, enjoying her warmth and the softness of her skin.
I gently kiss her shoulder and whisper, “I loved the food you left me. Thank you.”
Even though I want to do more to her, I settle with another soft kiss on her shoulder before I lay my head down on my pillow. “I will cook for you next time.”
I close my eyes while I hope next time will be tomorrow.
