Rori-POV
"So, what is expected of me?" The man with blond hair and hazel eyes asked Alpha Light through face time.
From what i have been told, the man Alpha Light is speaking to, is Alpha Harmon of the Blood moon pack. He is the friend she told me about last night at the waterfall. His pack is also the place she offered to send me to.
"Not much..." Alpha Light answered "All you have to do is feed him, bath him and put a roof over his head. You can take him out for walks if you like too..."
"I'm not a god damn dog." Diago mummbled.
"Oh, then what are you exactly?" Asked Noah as he leaned on the side of the truck that is heading over to Blood Moon pack.
Diago glared at the beta/gamma before he looked away.
Alpha Light chuckled before looking back to her phone. "Just make sure he's protected. And double you boarder patrol too. You're taking a risk here, Harmon. Make sure your pack is well protected."
"Don't worry about it, Light. Oh, wait..." Alpha Harmon called out just as Alpha Light was about to hang up. "What is it?" She asked.
"Do i need to burp him?"
The entire field erupted in chuckels and laughter as Diago shook his head. "Unbelievable!" He murmmered before opening the passanger side door of the truck and hopping in. Diago slammed the door with force and looked away.
"Make sure he gets to Blood Moon." Alpha Light patted Noahs' shoulder before she walked over to Mr. Beam and the Beam academy bus.
I looked over to the trucks that were heading to Rage wolf pack and i sighed. I was already regreting my decision as i saw all the Rage wolf pack worriors stealing a glance at me.
Last night, Alpha Light had given me a choice. A choice that would be in my favour. But one look at Phoebe and i knew it was a choice aginst her favour.
I wanted to be selfish. I wanted to be the one to go with Noah to Blood Moon pack instead of Diago. But, going to Blood Moon means that i would be letting Phoebe down. I would be taking away her chance to be with her mate once again.
Four years ago, Phoebe chose me. So now, i'm choosing her.
Alpha Light walked over to me after all the people from Beam Academy boarded their bus.
"Well, it looks like a Goodbye for now." She reached over to shake my hand.
"Looks like it." I commented before i glanced over to Aldalwolf and Brandon.
"It'll get easier." Alpha Light whispered before she moved on to speak with Adalwolf.
I zoned out as Alpha Light went over the field and said her goodbyes. When the time came to leave, everyone walked over to their assigned trucks and hopped in.
"Our truck is that way." Phoebe called out as she walked out of the pack house with her bag.
I squeezed the strap of my quiver as i followed her and stopped mid-way when i realized that we would be sharing that truck with Adalwolf, Brandon and two other worriors of the pack.
Phoebe gave me an apologetic smile before she hopped in. Adalwolf and Brandon sat at the front and the other two worriors sat at the back while Phoebe and i sat at the middle.
I placed my quiver and bow between my legs and leaned my head back with my eyes closed.
"Do you need to have that silver in here?" Asked one of the worriors from behind me and i opened my eyes to see that all the wolves looked really bothered by my silver.
"Is it making you uncomfortable?" I asked as i turned to look at the worrior who spoke and he nodded his head. Not just him, all four of them nodded their heads.
My silver arrows are not too many to actually tame their wilolves but it will be very uncomfortable. I nodded my head.
"Good." I said as i looked around the truck "at least i won't be the only one uncomfortable for this ride."
I leaned back of my seat again and closed my eyes. Phoebe gasped lightly at my comment but i refused to aknowledg it. I know i'm being a bitch but they can deal with it. I don't care.
Brandor started the engine and pulled away from silver fang pack territory. That force pulled at me as we drove further away. The more distance there was between us four shifters, the less i felt the pull. But it's still there.
The rest of the ride was quite and we made a stop three times but didn't linger for too long. Even when the sun set and a smiling moon replaced it, we continued the road. After a long four day drive, we finally arived at the boarder of Rage wolf pack. As soon as i saw the boarder patrols, my heart started picking up. I suddenly felt cold all over. That sence of warmth in a pack is no longer in me. I am no longer their pacl and they are no longer mine.
My lioness tired to give me a sence of comfort but i can feel her disappointment as well. I know that she had been looking forward to this, to having a home where she would have people to run with at night. People to hunt with. The life of a rouge had been very hard on her and that was why she looked forward to living with shifters. But the coldness made her realize that she and i would never have that kind of home here.
I tried to control my emotions so the other shifters in the truck wouldn't notice but i know they already did. But to my surpries, everyone kept their thoughs to themselves.
Phoebe placed her hand over mine and gave it a squeez. Ofcourse with her weird emotion reading abilities, she'd know how i'm feeling as well.
When we finally pulled over infront of the main pack house, i was close to passing out. But instead of cowering away, i opened the door and slid out before hicking my quiver over my shoulder.
As soon as i turned around, i saw the faces of the people who had tormented me my whole life. The former Alpha and Luna, Adalwolfs' father and mother were standing at the very front of the large group. Their eyes go wide as they look at me. It seems like no one has told them that i came back from the dead.
"Rori?" I heard a musculan voice coming from a tall man standing next to the former alpha and luna.
I looked at him and couldn't help the gasp that escaped my lips. The tall man looked like Adalwolf with stricking blue eyes. I could even say that he looked just like Adalwolf but a little younger. Harke?
He rushed over to me and slammed me into a bear hug only to hiss away when the silver of my bow burned his arm.
I quickly dropped it on the ground and he was hugging me again. That small, chubby beatfriend of mine is now a man who would pass for a fitness model.
He lifted me up in the air as he continued to squeez the life out of me.
"They said you died...but i knew you wouldn't just die on me." He mummbled as he pulled back and cupped my cheeks with his large hands.
I smiled as i felt tears burn the back of my eyes. While i had been so focused on all the pain this pack had caused me, i forgot about the things that made it special. Like Harke.
"I missed you so much, besti." He whispered before pulling me into a hug again.
"Rori?" A soft voice called out and i pulled away from Harke to see who it was.
My mother had her hands covering her lips and tears tracing down her cheeks as she looked at me.
"Hey, mom." I whispered and she gasped. I looked at my mother and she ran over to me and pulled me into her embrace.
"Oh, my baby." She sobbed and i was left tense in her hug. This felt...warm. My lioness purred as mom hugged me until i finally wrapped my arms aroung her waist.
Her sob broke my heart and i couldn't keep the tears at bay anymore. She costantly ran her hand over my hair as we both cried in eathothers embrace.
She pulled away a little to looked at me. She brused the tears from my cheeks with her thumb before she smiled.
"Look at my baby. All grown up." She whispered as she pulled me back into her embrace. She held me tighter when i heard my fathers' voice call out my name.
I looked over her shoulder to see him standing at the door of the main pack house. He looked...older than i remembered him. His once clean face was covered with beard. I quickly averted my eyes away from him as i rememberedd our final talk four years ago.
Mom pulled away from me to glare at my father. She didn't say a word as she shifted her death glare to Adalwolf.
"I'm taking my daughter home." She snapped at him before taking my hand and leading me away from the main pack house. I didn't dare look at anyone as she led me away and no one followed or said a word to us except for Harke. He rushed over to my other side and took my other hand. I waited for mom to snap at him like she did his brother but she just gave him a smile as she walked me to our place.
"Mom, my friend..." I remembered phoebe.
"I'll bring her over." Brandon answered as he moved to phoebes' side and i nodded my head. Phoebe had already picked up my quiver and bow and she gave me a little wave.
With that, i followed mom and Harke to the place i once called home.
