Ciara's POV
Patrick and I just sat on the nice sand while watching the view on the beach. The place is so peaceful and it helps me erase the bad vibes towards Julie.

"I don't think I'll be able to return here again," I said, staring at him who was also looking at me, "My family has no nice trips and vacations."

"How did you come to that conclusion?" He asked.

"Since I was a child, I've felt as if I didn't have parents because they were always preoccupied with work. Shan is the only one who takes me to places like this."

"What happened to you earlier, in any situation? You weren't in the right frame of mind."
I fixed my gaze on him, "Aren't you familiar with Julie? Aside from being an angel, what else does she know?"
When did I state that, he snorted and laughed, "Is it possible that she is an angel? Are you certain?"

"No, of course not. That's a sarcastic remark," I started it with a sigh and a roll of the eyes.

"Good. She'll never be able to be an angel. It was passed down to her from her mother. Her mother is now a wonderful person, but she was a terrible and mean person when she was a teenager. It's not something you'd anticipate."

"How could that not be expected?"
"It's the same as Julie. She has an innocent appearance on the outside, but she has a horrible conscience on the inside."
I just nodded, and when I checked my phone, it was already quarter to five, "Let's get going. I need to face Shan about Julie before it is too late."

"It's still early, and I'll pick up Patty, so let's eat with her first," he added, stretching out his hand to assist me in standing up, then turning around to grab our helmet and re-putting it on me.
We fetch Patty from our classmate's house, and we stopped at a 7/11 convenience store somewhere in Libertad for a short food and talk.
We talked for a while longer, and when I checked my wristwatch, it was quarter to seven in the evening, so we decided to go home.
Patricia did not accompany us home since she stated that she would spend the night with their Aunt, who lives near the store.
Patrick, on the other hand, continued to offer me a ride home. We embarked on a long journey because Libertad is also a long distance from our home.
He entered the subdivision till we arrived in front of our house when we arrived at Camella Homes.
I dismounted and returned the helmet to him, "Here's your helmet. I'm grateful for today," I remarked with a smile, "since you made me feel better."
He said, "Everything for you."
"You can go now," I remarked with a smile, "and your house is a short distance away."

"Good night," he said with a smile as he started his engine. I was simply staring at him as he drove away from me when I sensed a presence behind me.

"Ciara," I turned around to see Shan standing outside our gate.

"Shan? What are you doing in here?" I inquired and was perplexed because it was late.
"How come you're out by yourself?"

"I'm not alone. Patrick and I just went around and he offered me a ride." I replied as I sighed, "Besides that, you are here, I have something to tell you."

"Me too."
"Okay," I closed my eyes and stared him down in his bright blue eyes, "Please don't be surprised by what I'm about to reveal. It has to do with Julie."

"What about her?" he asked.

"I just wanted you to know that she's cheating on you," I replied. "She's not good for you."
He smirked and said, "Is that true? How come?"

"The other day, I overheard her. I'd like to speak with you, but I don't have the opportunity."
He just shook her head "Ciara, what happened to you?" he exclaimed, puzzled, "Since when have you been like that?" he wondered, "After what you did to her, how come you're hurting my girlfriend?"
"What do you mean?" I said, frowning at what he said because I didn't understand a thing.

"Maybe you forgot that you physically assaulted her," he remarked, which surprised me, "you did slap her and humiliate her."

"What?!" I screamed and laughed at the same time, "Since when did I slap her?! That's ridiculous! Who the hell said that?!"

"She told me earlier."
I sarcastically laughed, "Shan, are you serious? Is it just like that? So you took her word for it, didn't you? You just trust her because she said so? Your girlfriend is a psychopath, so wake up!"
Shan closes his eyes, and I can see he's enraged. That bitch dares to alter the set-up! Here, I am the unfortunate victim!
"HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT TO HER?! Ciara, I thought you were my best friend, but I guess not. You have changed!"

"Is that so? Me?! Changed?! How can you be certain?! TURHT HURTS BUT YOU ARE THE ONE WHO HAS CHANGED! Is that how you think of me?! You think I can do all of that?!"
With a simple shake of his head, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, "I'm not sure. I can't put my trust in you. I'm not sure who to believe."
I smirked and said "Thank you, and you've completely wrecked my evening! It was spoiled by you and your crazy-psychopath girlfriend!" I screamed and aggressively pointed at him, "You aren't aware of the entire story. You have disappointed me. I've already wasted time telling you the truth, and now you're accusing me of all this?! Maybe you have forgotten we were best friends since we were kids. I only did all of this to protect you because I love you!"

I can feel his surprise in his eyes, "It's exactly my —"

"Please, I know you're thinking I'm envious of her or that I'm going to ruin her so you can love me too. However, this is not the case. I love you but I respect your relationship with her. So, if you don't believe me, don't come near me to cry if you know the truth," I brushed my tears away and walked away, leaving him speechless outdoors.
I dashed back into my room and sobbed. I can't believe he trusted his crazy-liar girlfriend!
Now I know I won't get another chance, and I'll have to say goodbye to my best friend.

Ciara's POV
I sighed as I looked up from the ceiling. I can't believe I'm going to conclude losing my best friend.
I can't believe he chose to believe his girlfriend instead of me. But, in any case, who am I in his life? Julie claims that I am unrelated to him.
It's just so awful because I knew Julie was cheating with him but he didn't believe me.
I got out of bed, took a shower, and got myself ready for school. Even though it was just a quarter past seven o'clock in the morning, I was in the mood to start my day early today.
As I walked downstairs, I was stunned to discover both of my parents sitting in the dining room, my mother having her breakfast and my father sipping coffee and reading his phone.
I'm not sure how I'll react. For how many years, I felt so alive watching them both. I've felt so alone since, while living under the same roof, I've never seen them, and they, like some of my parents, work overseas.
My mother smiled as she glanced at me, "Ciara, you've gotten up. Come join us for breakfast."
I gave them a friendly grin and accompanied them into the dining room. I sat across from him, and my father grinned as he gazed at me.

"Hello, and good morning. I was under the assumption that you were at work," I said as I went to get a spoon and fork to eat some food.

"Yes, we have work to do, but it will be later."
I gave a nod. Even though they now have work, I'm glad I got to eat with them today. We were never completely seated at the dining table.

"Darling, we're sorry that your father and I have been busy," mom replied, and I could see in her eyes what I had been yearning for a long time: parental concern. "I promise, we'll give it our all."

"Thank you so much, mom and dad. It's fine with me as long as I can spend time with you at home," mommy stepped up to hug me.

"If you want, we may take you to school?" she asked, and I stared at her, giddy.

"Really? "Will you?" she nodded, and I added, "I'd love that."

"All right, hurry up and eat something so you wouldn't miss school."
I ate my breakfast quickly, and after that, we were soon inside the car, with Dad starting the engine.
I can't believe they've joined me now. I've always wished for all three of us at the same time, and I'm grateful that my wishes have gradually come true.
When we arrived, I said my goodbyes and kissed their cheeks before exiting the car.
When I got out of the car, I noticed the twins in the parking lot and approached them, saying, "Hey, how are you doing?"

"Girl! That is what I'm seeing right? Are your parents driving you here for school? For real, hanging out with you?"
I gave a big smile and nodded, "Yes, indeed! You know I'm overjoyed because I've been with them for so long!"
"That's fantastic news!" Patrick greeted me and messed up my hair so badly that I whacked him across the arm.

"Not my hair!" I gave him a hard look but continued to chuckle.

"Ciara," when I heard a familiar voice, I stalled. Shan was standing behind me when I turned around.

"Let's leave them first," Patrick said to Patty, and they quickly fled.

"What do you need, Shan?" I asked, staring at him blankly.

"We need to talk, please."
I nodded and grumbled, "Okay, not right now. After class, perhaps."
He answered, "OK, at Uncle Derek's restaurant," after that, I moved aside to enter the building.
I sat down next to Patrick as soon as I entered the room. Shan and Patricia were seated next to me, but because Shan and I were not getting along, I sat alongside him.

"How's Shan doing?" Patrick asked.
I shook my head, "It's not okay. He didn't believe me, and Julie's worst act against me was blaming me for the brawl. I was the one who was slapped, but she convinced Shan that it was me who had smacked and humiliated her," I grumbled as I rolled my eyes in irritation.
Shan walked into the room and took his seat next to Patricia. I didn't just gaze at him, and Patty was the only one who spoke to him.
It is now lunch break and we went out of the classroom and crossed the street to the other building when I noticed a familiar car.
When I spotted my mother, I raced up to her and hugged her.

"Hello, mom. What are you doing in here?" I asked because she is unlikely to be seen at our school.

"I was hoping we'd be able to have lunch with your father," she expressed her desire.

"Sure. Is it all right if I bring my friends with me?" I asked and called Patrick and Patricia,

"They are my friends. Patricia is already familiar to you, and this is Patrick, Patricia's twin brother."
Patrick greeted her and waved, saying, "Hello, it's good to meet you."

"Hello, Patrick," mum greeted him and returned my gaze, "I observed you're not with Shan? Where is he?"
I shook my head, "I'm not sure. He isn't present."
She nodded and motioned for us to enter the car.
