“Look! His hairstyle really suits him,” the girl whispered. Her friends are listening to them.
All of a sudden, someone pats my shoulder. “I thought, you're not going to school today?” Yuan asked while having an annoying smile.
I decided not to respond. He's still at my back, I turned my head, and I notice how he acts in front of the girls.
He was just walking straight, without showing up any emotion. I wonder why he keeps changing his emotions based on the people who are staring at him.
A few moments have been passed, we reached our classroom. A girl approached him immediately.
I smirked when I saw his reaction. He looked blankly at the girl, while the girl was trying to hold his arm.
She was just trying to flirt with him, but my brother keeps ignoring her. I shrugged my shoulder and decided to sit on my chair.
I turned my head to her side. My eyebrow raised a bit. What is she doing? What does its purpose?
She was writing in her book. Maybe, it's her essay?
I decided to ask her, “Hey, what are you doing?" She turned her head in my direction. She raised her eyebrow while staring directly into my eyes.
All of a sudden, a butterfly flew inside of my stomach.
Her beautiful eyes and soft cheeks are making me crazy! She's gorgeous!
“Why are you asking me?” she asked. I chuckled because of her cute reaction.
“Nothing, you can ask me if you need some help,” I offer while having a wide smile. It feels like the clock stops from moving.
A simple smile was drawn on her lips. The urge of my hands for covering my mouth moves without hesitation.
My eye widens and I keep avoiding myself to smiling and stopping my cheeks from turning pink.
“Thank you in advance, but I'm just writing my lesson plan for my student,” she replied.
I took a deep sigh and fix my posture while sitting.
“May I know who is your student? Can I know his or her name?” I asked while looking at her. She stops writing.
“She's a kindergarten, and I want her to learn something from me that she can bring and apply it when she grows up,” she replied.
“By the way, I heard the program will be continuing next week, are you going to come?” I questioned once again.
I want her to join the team building, at least she can enjoy the game.
“No.” She shook her head. “Maybe I should focus on my job, I need to earn to maintain in studying,” she answered.
“That's sad,” I whispered. I shrugged my shoulder and decided to browse on my phone.
We heard the bell ring.
All of a sudden, someone pats my shoulder. I looked at the person. It's Yuan.
“What?” I asked while raising an eyebrow.
“Move, I want to sit beside her.” He pointed her back. I gave him a blank and cold stare, but he choose to ignore it.
I didn't say anything, he moved his chair beside this girl and he smiled at her.
“Hey! Can I sit here? I don't want to sit beside the window because all I can hear is the sound of the wind,” he explained.
The girl nodded her head. A wide smile plastered on his face.
He smirked at me when our eyes met. I took a deep sigh and turned my focus on my phone.
I got some news about folklore, writing, and different topics about the country.
The professor is still not arriving in our room.
After a few minutes, I'm going to stand up when she holds my wrist.
“Wait, I have something to ask you,” she said while looking directly into my eyes.
My heart beats like a beating drum. I can hear it.
“S-Sure, what is it?” I asked. Stop stuttering.
“Can I borrow your time later? I'm going to ask you something, if it will damage your schedule, then it's okay, I will re-schedule it, let me know,” she stated.
I looked at the ceiling just to break the eye contact. My heart can't stay calm while staring at her beautiful eyes.
It feels like, her eyes are pulling me. There's something in her stares.
I cleared my throat before speaking.
“Yes, sure, what time? Do I need to fetch you or wait for you somewhere?” I asked.
My vision went in Yuan's direction. He was glaring at me and waiting if I'm going to decline her invitation.
Maybe, it's my chance to be with her.
“Great! We will meet at the library, I'm going to look for something, and I think you can help me with those kinds of stuff,” she said with a little high pitch voice.
She squeezes my wrist. I smiled at her and I feel like my heart is going to jump from my chest.
“Alright, I'm going to wait for you.” When I said those words, she let go of my wrist.
“Thank you so much in advance!” A wide smile appears on her lips. I nodded and drag my things.
I need to go somewhere. I want her to come and join us in our camping. When I'm walking in the hallway, some of the students are looking at me.
They are watching my every step. I chose to ignore them and continue to walk.
A few moments later, I already reached the office. I knocked three times before they allow me to come in.
“Hello! I'm here just to know if where is the program will take place? May I know?” I asked while waiting for their quick response.
They looked at me, and they looked at their co-officers. As if they are signaling each other if they are going to tell me or not.
An officer nodded to his co-officers.
“We are sorry to say this but to ensure the flow of our future program, we are not allowed to leak information about the place, however, all we can tell is the type of program,” he stated.
“The type of the next program is team building, and camping, maybe from that information, you can identify the place,” he sarcastically said.
I remained silent while giving them a cold stare. Some of them are avoiding my haze while some of them are maintaining our eye contact.
“I don't want to ruin the program, but please, make sure the students will be safe when they joined the camping, and also, please monitor them properly,” I said.
Their eyes widen. Maybe, they didn't expect me to say those things. I'm just making it sure when I join them.
However, I can protect her if needed.
I turned my back, I'm about to walk when the door suddenly opened. It's Yuan, how long will he follow my steps.
He smirked at me and he began to walk inside the room. I put my hands inside of my pocket. I shrugged my shoulder and went outside the room.
Before leaving, I heard my brother's voice.
“Here I am, I'm going to say Thank you to my brother,” he said.
I shook my head. It's awkward to say please to those people who don't care about you are existing. I'm doing this for that lady.
I'm leaving this place. I want some fresh air.
Not too far from my direction, I saw a stair. Maybe it's a way for the rooftop?
A few moments left, I reach the wide rooftop. The view was amazing and calming. I scanned the whole place, it was empty.
Except for the walls and railings, I saw the edge of the school. I would like to sit there.
It seems amazing and challenging. I walked from my position and reached the edge of the building.
My assumption was true. It's a breathtaking view. The breeze is touching my skin.
The sunset is slowly appearing. I looked up in the sky, the birds are flying, maybe they are looking for food or shelter to begin their life.
Sometimes, being a bird is hard, but at the same time, it's good.
You can fly freely and find your own peace while flying, however, you must watch out for hunters.
They will shoot you. It's hard, plus the problem of migrating to another place just to ensure your safety.
Animals have feelings too. They can't talk, but they can show it. You just need to observe their actions.
They are like humans, they need to eat, sleep, and search for a safe zone. They want to find their mate and live freely without any sign of any danger.
They are fragile and need to be protected and understood.
