I took a deep sigh, and let it out slowly. I'm not feeling well this morning, though I decided not to attend the class.
At the same time, I'm sitting here inside the room while brushing my hair.
“Miss Astrid!” I gasped and immediately stood up.
“Yes, Sir?” I replied. He was just looking at me while making a blank expression.
“Why do we have some lunar eclipse?” He arched his eyebrow while waiting for my answers.
I gulped to cleared my throat.
“It's because the moon sometimes passes through the shadow of the Earth,” I answered his question.
“You may sit down, to be in short, the eclipse happens during the full moon. The Sun, Earth, and the moon are in alignment.”
He walked through the front door while holding his pen. We heard the bell rang.
“It's seemed like that's all for today, we will continue our discussion tomorrow, Goodbye class!” He went back to his desk to bring all his pens.
Someone went in my direction. She smiles at me while holding her notebook.
”Hey, speaking of the Red Moon, my parents told me some peculiar story. I don't want to believe it because it sounds childish!” She exclaimed.
In an instance, our phone beeps and shows some notification from our email. It says that we need to search for some folklore about the Red Moon, or the Bloody Moon.
“Folklore? Seriously?” She arched her eyebrow while looking at her phone screen. I shrugged my shoulder.
“Hailey! Let's go, I'm hungry,” I said with an airy voice. She holds my arm and we begin to walk away from our room.
“Ast! Do you want to hear the story that my parents told me yesterday?” she asked. I nodded as my answer.
“My parents told me that when the Red Moon appeared and there's a child who was born that night. The child will have the curse,” she stated.
“What kind of curse?” I asked while having a bewildered look on my face. She shrugged her shoulder.
“If you want we can ask my parents about it, but for now, we should eat some lunch, because I didn't eat my breakfast.” I looked at her and I took a deep sigh.
We arrived at the cafeteria and we both searched for the vacant table until I saw one at the corner of this cafeteria.
I sat on the chair and took out my lunch. She looked in her bag to get some drinks and different food.
She had some rice and a beefsteak. I opened my lunch box, it has some rice and eggs.
“Do you want some beef? I'm going to give it to you,” she stated while showing her lunch box.
I gulped and gave her a small smile. I speak slowly, “Uhm, you can eat that, I'm okay with my food, besides it's my favorite!” I exclaimed.
“Hey, I heard that we have a new student, but the student is going to attend the class tomorrow,” she said while chewing her food.
“I'm excited to see that new student! I wonder what's his or her look, and personality,” she added. I'm just looking at her while eating my food.
I decided to remain silent for a while and to focus on my food. Her eyes widened, “Speaking of the new student, I heard that its record was completely fine, and cleared from its former school.”
I arched my eyebrow at what she said. Maybe, the student just wants to study here, besides the tuition fee was not that high.
Likewise, the miscellaneous fee is just enough for the tools, and equipment in here.
“Why did the student transfer to our school?” I asked while squinting my eyes.
“I don't know? Maybe, you should ask the student tomorrow,” she replied. I looked at her and shrugged my shoulder.
After a few minutes, we heard the bell rang once again. She stands up while her gaze was in my direction.
I followed her in the corridor until we reached our classroom.
“Hey, what happened?” Hailey asked our classmate. The student looked at us, “There's an emergency, I don't know if it's a special meeting or they have something important to do,” our classmate replied.
We nodded as a sign of our answer.
We waited for at least 30 minutes and we decided to go home.
Hailey wanted to go somewhere and she said that she needs to meet someone. She doesn't want me to accompany her.
While I'm walking in the corridor, I felt my phone vibrated. I took my phone from my bag.
It's my mother, she said that I need to go with my father to deliver some food to our customer.
I took a deep sigh and let it out slowly. All of a sudden, someone bumped into my shoulder. I gasped when her bag suddenly fell to the ground.
“I'm sorry...” we both said in unison. I immediately help her to get her bag and gave it to her.
She's wearing a black hoodie while her head was hanging low.
She remained standing while looking at the ground.
“What's your name—” I gasped when she immediately cut my words.
“I'm sorry, please excuse me, I need to go,” she whispered. I nodded when she walks instantly.
My phone vibrates once again. I glance at my screen when I noticed that my father is calling me.
I decided to answer it with a low volume of my voice. “Yes, of course, I'm on my way,” I said between the line. He ended the call, so I walked immediately to the parking lot.
I looked around until my sight was focused on our Van for delivery. My father waved his hand while he's inside the white van.
Likewise, I smiled at him while walking towards the Van.
“How's your day?” he asked when I already sitting at the passenger seat and fasten up the seat belt.
“It's fine, yet it's exhausting,” I replied to his question. He giggles, “I think it's normal? However, working on our job is much exhausting than studying.”
When the things were already set up. My father started to drive away from my University. After a few minutes, I searched for the list of different food at the back.
There are some boxes of mayonnaise, milk, coffee, and vitamins. We are going to deliver it to the nearby convenience store.
I focused on the road and observing all the actions of the people around us.
“I heard that we are going to have an eclipse at night? Do you want to witness it?” my father stated. I gave a gaze on him.
“Sure, if I will have some chances, I'm going to watch it.” I looked around. After 30 minutes, we reached the assigned convenience store.
I went out of the Van and walked to the back of our car. My father opened the back of the Van and started to put it inside of the inventory of the convenience store.
While my father is carrying it, I will check the item on the list and marked it as completed or done, or I will put a check on the side of its name.
When we are done, I gave the list to my father and he went inside the store. He said that I need to go back inside of the Van.
I shrugged my shoulder and begin to walk.
My eyes widened when a person immediately run away from the store. What happened?
