ADOPTED HEIR **Meeting Felicity**
Isabella's P O V
"Kendrick! Kendra! I'm waiting," I yelled to them from downstairs. I don't know, but I think they are not too happy with this dinner plan. It's as if I'm ruining something for them with our dinner with my mom, Felicity.

"We're coming, mom. Chill!" Kendrick replied back. I sighed, taking my hands to my hips.
I don't really know what's up with them. I want to meet this Kendrick's new friend who took them out yesterday, I need to know if he is a good person and not some pretender trying to use my kids.
I'll speak to them about it. I don't really want to peer into their life, of course I should be concerned about their well being but I don't want to overdo it, else I'd have hired a secret guard to follow them around secretly.
I understand they are of age, it's not their fault I came into their lives when they are already adults, but I still hope they don't get into trouble.
"Mom, how do I look?" Kendra asked descending down the stairs.
"You look....good," I complimented.

"Really? Are you sure? I don't want my first meeting with your mom to go bad, really." She pursed her lips.
"I promise, you look good." I said trying to assure her of her looks. Kendra doesn't need makeup or too much jewelries, she is already pretty. Very very pretty, the guy that she is going to marry better be really careful.
She smiled and continued descending down the stairs. "You don't look bad either, mom. You look astonishing just as always," she complimented making me blush a little.
"Oh please, I'm a lonely old lady. I'm not that pretty." I rolled my eyes at her.

"You're one hell of a beauty queen, mom. Don't think otherwise," she pointed at me and stated.
I scoffed. "Oh whatever, where is your brother? Why isn't he still coming down?"
"I'm here, mom. Let's go." Kendrick ran out of his room and came down the stairs in seconds.
"You look good, mom," he complimented as he went for the door.
"What about me? Aren't you gonna compliment me too?" Kendra questioned, following me closely.
"Well, you also look good." Kendrick said.
"Why did you say it like you don't mean it? I'm more beautiful than all the girls you've dated you know." Kendra frowned.
Kendrick scoffed and shook his head. "Oh no, you are the most ugliest girl I've seen," he teased her.
"I know you don't mean that so I won't waste my breath fighting you on that." She eyed him as she walked out through the door he held open for her.
He also held it open for me to pass. We got into the car and they both kept fighting about how Kendra looks until I pulled over inside my mom's car garage.
"Wait! We are here already?" Kendra turned to look around.
"Yes," I answered opening the car.
"Oh, it's pretty close to ours mom." Kendrick also exclaimed.
"And it's beautiful, damn! It's huge." Kendrick exclaimed again also coming down from the car.
"Hi madam," a maid rushed to us immediately. "There is something in the boot, go bring it out and take it to the kitchen." I instructed as I started walking to the main entrance, Kendra and Kendrick followed closely.
I made to open the door but it got opened from the inside instead, revealing mom's head maid.
"Hi Rosa," I greeted. "Hi ma'am, madam has been expecting you. She's waiting in the dinning," she informed.
"Okay, thank you." I thanked and walked in.
"Hi. Hi." Both Kendrick and Kendra greeted her.
"Hi young master and miss. You are welcome," Rosa greeted back.
Although I know the way to the dinning, I waited for her to escort us there. I lived here for a long time, most of my ugly days I spent them here.
I got to the dinning to see mom seated down, obviously waiting for us.
"Hi mom, good evening." I greeted and went to drop a kiss on her cheek.
"Hi, where are your...?" She paused when Kendrick and Kendra entered the dinning room.
"Hi!" Kendrick and Kendra greeted immediately they saw her.
"Come here, you two." Felicity smiled standing on her feet. She hugged and kissed both of them before taking her seat back.
"How have you been doing mom?" I inquired. Although, we don't have that tight mother and daughter relationship. I still cared for her, I have also grown to really appreciate her. Of course, she's the reason why I'm where I am today.
"I've been doing good. But not as good since you moved out to your own house," she answered.
My decision to move out didn't sit well with her but she didn't allow it cause another rift between us. So she had let me go.
She turned to Kendrick and Kendra who were seated beside me.
"It's been so long I'd seen you last. I came down to Buford when you two turned 4, I'm sure you don't recognize me but it's fine." Felicity told.
"No ma, we don't recognize you. But we see you on television some times, so we know who you are." Kendrick told her. Mom shook her head and focused her gaze on Kendra.
"She really looks like you, Isabel. She could be mistakenly as your twin sister if care is not taken."
I chuckled at her words, "well, I'm glad she looks like me and not like someone else."
She turned back to face me, "I hope they are learning more about washington, they'll be schooling here once school resumes right?" She probed.
"Yes, of course." I answered.
"Rosa, serve the food!" Mom turned and yelled to her head maid.
"Okay madam." Rosa answered.
The food was brought and served, she urged us to eat with her, which we did.
"So, Isabel are you preparing anything with David? I'm sure he has told you of my plans." Mom asked.
"Mom," I called before she could continue. "Let's talk about that later, not now." I said before going back to my meal.
She can't ask me about my relationship with David now. Not in front of my kids at least, I don't want them thinking I'm gonna be getting married soon to David because that won't be happening.
I like David but I only see him as a friend and sometimes he can be really annoying. Although he is the only one that has been able to put up with me. I still want him as a friend, I don't want to ever get married to anyone. I'll continue being a single mother to my kids and I'm gonna be explaining that to her later, not in front of Kendrick and Kendra.

"I hope you are watchful of what your kids do, everyone knows that they are your kids. If they go to wrong places alone, it'll be really bad." Mom said.
"I am. Of course, they tell me everything." I replied.
"Really? Then who is this man they always seems to meet up with, huh? I'm sure you don't know of him, or do you allow your kids meet up with older men?" Mom asked with a displeased tone.
I opened my mouth but words couldn't form for a minute. Older men? It's Kendrick's new friend right?
"Ask them to be really careful. You don't want someone using them to bring you or the company down. Be a parents to them, you hear me?" She scolded.
"Yeah, I will." I mumbled not liking the way she is scolding me. She still thinks I'm that 16 year old girl who is always sucking and running away from her.
We finished dinner a while ago, both Kendrick and Kendra are busy looking around the house with the help of the maids. Felicity had asked them to visit her frequently and they don't seem to have a problem with that. They acted more composed than I thought and I'm proud of them.

"I'm so tired, mom. I want you to take us to dinner tomorrow night. You'll be free right?" Kendra probed leaning unto me.
"Yes, you wanna have dinner somewhere? You have a particular restaurant in mind?" I asked.
"Yes, we came across this chinese restaurant and we wanted to try their meal out with you." Kendrick informed.
"Oh, a chinese restaurant?" I smiled at them. I've always wanted to try chinese dishes out, I heard most of their dishes taste great. "Cool! Let's go to one tomorrow," I agreed.
My responds made Kendra more happy that she asked, "really mom?"
"Of course." I confirmed again. She smiled and looked back at her brother.
"Then it's set then." She said.
"Yup, it's set, mom. No turning back, we might even go to the movies from there so mom try your best to look the best tomorrow, although you are always at your best." Kendra said.
I paused and turned to look at her. "What has gotten into you?" I asked bemused.
She seems really excited about this dinner, I'm getting the feeling that something big is gonna happen tomorrow and I can't wait for it.
