ADOPTED HEIR **The Restaurant**

After their blood was taken, Nathaniel suggested that they have lunch together since it was already 12:30 pm. Kendra immediately agreed to it and Kendrick just followed them to a restaurant that was a little bit close to Queen's empire.
They sat down and ordered their lunch, and then started eating. Nathaniel chatted with Kendra on a lot of things while Kendrick just stared at them feeling bored. It didn't take too long, they were done with their lunch and set to go.
Nathaniel happily paid the bills, for him it was such a privilege and it was the first time eating with his 'kids'. The doctor had asked them to come back in two days time for the results before they'd left the hospital.
The restaurant's door opened and Kendrick caught sight of Isabella. His eye's widened and he immediately turned to Nathaniel and Kendra.
"Ken, mom is here. She just got in," Kendrick announced pointing to the door. Kendra became at alert.
"What do we do?" She asked.
"You guys should go ahead. Go meet her, you could tell her you came out to have lunch, I'm sure she won't get mad." Nathaniel encouraged them.
"What about you? We were about leaving together." Kendra probed.
"Don't worry about me." While his eyes were fixed on their mother and the guy standing with her at the entrance. He urged both Kendra and Kendrick to go to her.
Isabella's back was turned to them so she didn't notice anything.
"Bye," Kendra waved at Nathaniel as she walked with her brother to go meet their mom.
"Mom," Kendrick called from behind. Hearing the familiar voice, Isabella turned to face her kids. She gasped, "what are you guys doing out here?" She asked, her eyes running between the twins.
"We just came out to have lunch. Everywhere was boring...so," it was Kendra who replied her.
Isabella to be sure that they weren't lying to her looked behind them to notice an intense gaze on them but the pair of golden orb amber eyes wasn't the only one staring at them. The whole people inside the restaurant were literally staring at them.
Being in the public brings that reaction a lot, she has gotten used to it but she presently doesn't like the fact that they were now staring at her kids. Some people were even taking pictures of them.
"Oh, this are your kids? Hello!" David who was standing with Isabella waved at both Kendrick and Kendra. Surprised, Kendra waved back but Kendrick only nodded at him.
"Take us to the VIP room," David turned to the waiter there and requested.
"This way please," the waiter took all of them to a specially arranged room. David had ordered them to get the room ready, he wanted to impress Isabella in every way possible, well, it turns out he was gonna impress even her children.
Nathaniel who has been watching them go to the VIP room sighed. "She has a man." He mumbled to himself.
What was I even thinking? How can a beautiful, intelligent and smart lady like her be single. I was being so stupid. Nathaniel scolded himself before getting up from his seat.
The waiter took them to the room and they all sat down. Kendrick and Kendra admired the way the room was decorated.
"Do they usually decorate restaurant rooms like this?" Kendrick probed.
"No, I ordered for it. I ordered for it to be decorated this way." David answered his question. Isabella stared at David weirdly at his reply.
It made Kendra look from her mom to David. Are they an item? She wondered.
Although David looked really handsome and was probably 34 or 35, Kendra still didn't prefer him for her mom. She only kept thinking about Nathaniel.
I want him for mom. She kept thinking about it.
"So, are you guys together?" Kendrick asked equally curious about their relationship.
"No!" Isabella simply replied.
"Not for long." David whispered, but they all heard him.
"Bring in a four meal course." David ordered the waiter who hasn't still left the room. "You know what I planned, you just need to double it," he added.
The waiter smiled and left. "So you like my momma?" Kendra asked with her brow raised.
"Obviously, your mom is very beautiful and we have been friends for long. I'm the only friend she has got, really." David bragged.
"Then why don't you just continue being her friend then?" Kendra muttered. Kendrick took his hand to Kendra's, he touched her to make sure she shuts up before saying something that will make the room tense up.
"You guys really haven't explained how you got here. Did Conner drive you guys down here? How did you guys get here?" Isabella asked, shifting the subject.
"We took a taxi. We wanted it to be fun so we took a taxi." Kendrick responded.
Isabella gave them the look that says 'I don't believe you, but be careful' Isabella adjusted on her seat afterwards and brought out her phone.
"I'm gonna call for Conner and ask him to come pick you guys up then." Isabella informed and made to call her mansion.
"No mom! You don't have to worry about us." Kendra objected.
"Yes mom, we can go home on our own. We are adults anyways," Kendrick supported.
"No, I want to make sure that you two get home safely. He can even take you somewhere else if you want but I want to make sure, someone trusted drive you guys home." Isabella insisted.
"I'll take them home then." David offered. It was his own way of winning Kendrick and Kendra over. He was grateful that such opportunity came by.
The door opened and two waiters came in with their dishes. Isabella kept her phone back when she saw the assuring look on David's face to drive Kendrick and Kendra home.
Kendrick and Kendra both kept quiet and didn't protest after that. The meal was served, David and Isabella both eat a lot while Kendrick and Kendra who had just eaten kept picking on their meal.

Kendrick and Kendra both sat at the backseat of David's Toyota Camry. He ignited the engine of his car and drove out of the restaurant's parking lot. Isabella just stood and watched him leave with them. The protective kind of mother I guess.
Isabella was about to get into her own Bentley when she felt those pair of eyes staring at her from behind intensely. She slowly turned to search for those pair of dominating eyes but couldn't find them.
She got into her car when she didn't find anyone and began driving herself back to her company. Isabella was known for eating a little far from the company's restaurant and so when her secretary suggested this particular restaurant, she agreed and came here.
She ran into David when she came down from her car, thinking it was all a coinicidence, Isabella stood and talked with David as he convinced her to eat with him. And during their discussion, Kendrick and Kendra walked up to them.
It got her wondering again how her kids really got to that particular restaurant that was very far from her mansion. As she drove into the highway, she felt those pair of dominating eyes staring at her again.
It made her cringe not knowing the owner of those dazzling golden orb eyes.

David parked in front of Isabella's mansion and waited for Kendrick and Kendra to get down. He had immediately noticed that Kendra didn't like him as much but he wasn't so sure about Kendrick.
Kendra not liking him didn't bring his spirit down tho, it only made him more determined to win the family over. He also wants to become a part of the family.
"Em.. thanks for the ride sir, I hope you get to your destination soon." Kendrick thanked David while Kendra just stared at him from behind.
"It's my pleasure eh, and I have a younger brother who is your age mate, since you guys are new here. I'll send him over to come stay with you guys, it will definitely reduce the boredom." David suggested.
Kendrick liked the idea. "Sure, sir. You can, it'll definitely help."
Kendra didn't react, she just stood and kept watching them. "I'll go now then, take care." David waved at them before driving away.
"Hey, why don't you like him?" Kendrick immediately turned to Kendra and asked. It was way too obvious.
"He likes mom and I don't like that. He might end up with mom and dad will be left out." Kendra revealed without holding back.
"Huh, who told you he is our dad? We are not sure, we are not 100 percent sure until the DNA result comes out." Kendrick raised his voice at her in correction.
"We didn't need DNA test when mom showed up, only our resemblance and words convinced us, why can't dad's words and your resemblance convince you otherwise. You don't like dad as much as I like him, I notice you two didn't really talk." Kendra foamed.
"Who told you I don't like him? I like him but I am not so sure he is a good man and we need to confirm if he is truly our father first." Kendrick shouted, corrected his sister before walking into the mansion leaving Kendra frowning deeply.
