I can't believe someone actually put a billion in my account. The question is, how could Luke afford such money? Where did he get it? I looked at Mommy. I wanted to ask her if she knew anything but before I could, she just shrugged her shoulders.
“Dad, do you know where Luke got the money? It’s impossible for him to have a billion in his account,” I said.
“Why is it impossible, Isabella? For all we know, Luke is just really good with money. Besides, hasn’t he taken you out before? You must have seen the world he moves in,” Dad told me.

When Daddy mentioned that, I remembered that Luke once took me to a luxurious hotel. Not only that. When I was almost killed by Jimuel due to a misunderstanding, he took me to his rest house in the countryside.
“I don’t understand why he would still work as my bodyguard if he has so much money,” I complained.
“Maybe he’s just bored, Isabella. So, what do you plan to do with the money?” Mom asked me.
“Return it to Luke,” I answered, but then thought maybe I would do it later.
However, my plan to talk to Luke about the money later didn’t happen because that night, I found out that Mom and Dad had invited Luke to join us for dinner. Mom had already told me to get ready because she didn’t want to embarrass herself in front of Luke. I don’t know, but I noticed something about Mommy. If she was very supportive of Luke before, it got even worse when she found out he had money.
I wore a formal blue dress which made my skin tone stand out even more. When I arrived in the living room, I didn’t expect to see Vanessa and Luke happily chatting. And then, I noticed a small box. Vanessa picked it up when she saw me standing at the door and handed it to me.

“What’s this?” I asked.
“It’s a gift from Luke,” said Vanessa, smiling.
“If it’s a gift from him, why are you handing it to me? Give it back to Luke and let him give it to me,” I suggested, but suddenly the woman frowned.
“Just accept it so we can be a couple, Luke bought me one too,” Vanessa happily said to me as if she was excited about other things Luke could give.

“I’m sorry,” Vanessa apologized even though I was at fault.
When I looked towards Luke, I noticed he didn’t like what I had said to Vanessa. He was also frowning and just staring at me as if he was surprised that I could say something bad to Vanessa.
“Can we talk in private, Luke?” I asked the man before Mom and Dad arrived.
“Sure,” he answered and stood up.
“If you don’t mind, Vanessa, Luke and I will talk outside,” I said and led the man to our garden.
I just didn’t want anyone overhearing our conversation. The breeze was cold especially since I was wearing a sleeveless dress. I thought Luke would take off his jacket and give it to me, but he did something else.
“What do we need to talk about, Isabela?” Luke asked first.
“About the money,” I said.
“What money? Oh, the entrance fee? I told you I would come back to you and do everything to be with you again,” the man declared.
“You want to dazzle me with money? You know I won’t be dazzled by such an amount,” I told him because in the future I will be wealthier than Aric.
Speaking of Aric, I didn’t know he was also invited. He just suddenly appeared in the garden as if someone had told him where I was. “Aric! What are you doing here?” I asked the man.
“I was invited by Luke,” Aric answered, which made me suddenly look towards Mommy and Dad.
“Luke, is what Aric saying true? Did you bring him here?”
“Your Mommy said I could bring Aric. We were already on our way to the restaurant when your Mommy called me. Of course, I couldn’t just leave Aric there,” he replied.
"I see," I mumbled but deep inside, I knew that dinner would be uncomfortable for me.
Since being reborn, every day was challenging for me. I hated Vanessa, and everything about her, but I was torn between sending her away or keeping her with me.. After all, she was the only aunt of my daughter who was so friendly.
Her other siblings were terrible!
