PRINCESS HELLEN'S POV
"Your highness, the human spent the night in our chamber, not in the kings' palace," Asher reports to me and I let out a sigh of relief.
I had thought that by helping the kings lift their curse they would see me as a valuable ally and perhaps even a potential lover, and indeed, the kings appeared appreciative of my efforts.

But it seems whenever I solve one problem, another presents itself immediately. The stupid human seems to be getting too close and comfortable with the gorgeous kings in ways that are awakening my jealousy and anger. Yesterday, King Reagan had invited her to his chambers for dinner where she stayed for hours. I could barely sleep thinking what they might be doing and I immediately knew I had to act fast before the human warmed her way into the hearts of the kings.
I had clearly overlooked the probability of their bond growing when they get close.
But the good thing is I have come up with a plan to speed up the process of them obtaining the blood and getting rid of the human once and for all. I can't risk losing the kings to her.
All I need is to get rid of her and their attention and affection will immediately return back to me as before.
"I'll speak with the kings, and rest assured, by the day after tomorrow, she will no longer be an issue of concern," I declare with a sly grin, gesturing at Asher to help me out of my night dress and into a white, short bodycoon dress.
"I don't look anywhere as curvy or tall as the stupid human did," I say wistfully looking at myself on the mirror. The dress seems to draw a straight line from under my armpits to my knees. This why I always prefer round dresses with thick materials. "The human seemed to have such a tiny waist," I lament.

"That's only because we were all used to her looking like shit all the time, so any improvement was bound to stand out," Asher comforts.
"Get me a matching waist belt," I order and Asher obliges and helps me fix it. It's so uncomfortable but I am willing to do whatever it takes to ensure the kings see me as the only one worthy of their affection, even if it means enduring discomfort.
After I am satisfied with the result, I quickly head out for the main palace. The kings did ask that I move into the main palace where I'll be closer to them, but I am not going to do that until their human mate is gone, I am not going to give her the pleasure of being under the same roof with them.
KING ALERIC'S POV

"What do you think of princess Hellen?" my brother Kian asks as we take seats on the dining table. Reagan is yet to join us.
"Our human mate looks more better." I answer honestly. Ella is undeniably beautiful, both in appearance and character. But like I said, I will never fall for a human servant girl. So princess Hellen is still at the top when it comes to eligible women we might consider marrying in future. She is of royal blood and has a very unique talent.
"You know what? Beauty is overrated. Wr should focus on the things she can do," Kian advises and I shrug.
Isn't that what I am exactly doing? I am doing my best to ignore the fact that Hellen isn't beautiful inside or out and I appreciate that she can save us from the curse.
It's because of her that we are almost free from the awful curse. What beautiful lady could have done that for us?
We suddenly hear the echo of clicking heels through the hallway before a furious Princess Hellen appears at the doorway. The guards at the entrance try to stop her from entering, but my brother motions for them to let her in. She is in a white short dress that barely covers the bottom of her tiny ass. I never noticed she is that skinny under the thick round dresses she wears. She really does look like a witch.
She storms into the room and to the head of the table, her eyes blazing with anger. "How much longer will it take for you to appease your useless human mate and get her to give you her blood?"
I raise an eyebrow, clearly surprised by her boldness. "Did we not all agree to that plan together?" I question.
She scoffs. "You and your brother Reagan, you are clearly going too far with the seduction," she complains looking at me.
"You know any of us would go to any extent to get our hands on that blood," king Aleric points out to her.
Hellen shakes her head, a cunning smirk playing on her lips. "Then I guess I have good news for you," she smirks. "You have two days left to get that blood," she announces.
My eyes widen in shock. "Three days? What do you mean, three days?"
"The blood will only be effective if we manage to lift the curse on the day of the the Eclipse of the Blood Moon, which is two days away." Princess Hellen explains.
We all exchange worried glances. It is clear that our original plan might never work in time. Maybe it's time to move to plan B.
"What does your human servant value the most? Gold, silk dresses, fur coats?" I ask princess Hellen. I have come to realize women hold a great liking for expensive material things.
"Don't waste your time. The human doesn't care about wealth or those fancy and luxurious things. If she did, she would have accepted my offer to have her released from her duties," Kian says, sounding resigned.
"You offered to release her from being my servant?" princess Hellen exclaims in shock but we ignore her.
"She must want something, everyone has something they desire," I point out.
"What if she desires something we are not willing to give, like our love?" Kian asks. "I suggest we tell her the truth."
"What!" both I and princess Hellen exclaim at his idea.
"I bet she will give you her blood after she hears you were involved in killing her father and her whole pack." I say, shocked by his proposal.
"We are only going to tell her just a little bit of it, enough to evoke her sympathy. She is kind and caring which makes her easy to manipulate." Kian counters.
Sounds like it might just work. I did notice our mate sounds extremely compassionate even to those who don't deserve it, like us.
ELLA'S POV
I wake up feeling unusually drowsy and weak. I have a vague memory of how I got here, back to our servant room.
Did I get too drunk while with king Reagan? If I did, it must have been quite embarrassing since I have never done it before.
I also have a vague memory of what happened during the whole time I was with king Reagan.
Seeing that the the sun is already up. I quickly get out bed and start dressing so that I can head to Princess Hellen's quarters to prepare her morning bath.
As I dress, a certain memory flashes in my mind, of king Reagan suggesting we make another bond... something
like a blood promise. Him cutting his hand, and then asking me to do the same... wait! Did I agree to that?
Worried, I check my both palms but find no scars. If we had acctually done it, his would have healed immediately but mine would take several days to even leave a scar.
I shake my head, trying to dispel the haunting thought. It must be my desperate mind conjuring up false memories that didn't even happen.
Pushing the unsettling thoughts aside, I finish getting dressed and make my way to Princess Hellen's quarters.
After knocking, I enter my mistress's bedroom to find Asher and Julia sitting with the princess on her bed. They all look at me with unfriendly eyes, except for Princess Hellen has got a sly smirk on her face.
I mumble a greeting as I pass by them on my way to the bathroom. But I suddenly halt as my gaze lands on a bouquet of red roses and a note resting on my mistress's table. The flowers are strikingly similar to the ones I had received just the day before from the kings, but these appear exceptionally fresh. My my breath catches in my throat.
"Did the kings... send you another gift, Your Highness?" I blurt out, my eyes wide with surprise before I can stop myself.
Princess Hellen's lips curl into a smirk as she responds, "No, the alpha king sent you this gift, Ella. And since you were still asleep, I decided to hold onto it for you," her voice drips with mockery as she speaks.
I immediately feel a surge of panic wash over me. "The flowers are meant for me?" I blurt out.
Princess Hellen, with a hint of amusement in her expression, gestures towards the bouquet. "Of course, take a look," she replies calmly.
I hesitate for a moment before picking up the note on the petal my eyes scanning the elegant manly handwriting that adores the paper. It reads,
"My dearest Ella, meet me at the royal horse stables after breakfast. I wish for us to share a moment alone -King Kian.
I immediately feel a mix of relief, awe and more fear wash over me. Relief and awe that this gift from king Kian, the one that seemed to hate me most is indeed attracted to me. But fear of how I'll now explain this to Princess Hellen without her struggling me to death seizes my heart.
Struggling to compose myself, I manage to find my voice. "My lady, I... I can expla.." I start to say but princess Hellen cuts me off.
"I don't see what you need to explain. Aren't you the alpha kings' mate?" she questions, her smirk widening as she observes my reaction. "I see one of the kings has invited you to have a walk with him on that note, how romantic?"
Is she not going to reprimand me for disobeying her order to stay away from the kings? This is unexpected, to say the least.
"Well, what are you waiting for, Ella? Take a bath and go meet your mate." She urges her voice carrying a subtle undertone of anger that is hard to miss.
I can't quite tell what her intentions are
but obviously I can't deny that I am back together with my mates after she has seen this note.
"I'll go prepare your bath first, your highness," I offer, but She raises her hand.
"Julia or Asher can handle that," she remarks in a casual tone. "You wouldn't want to keep the king waiting and risk disappointing him, would you?"
My eyes widen at her words. There is definitely something I am missing here. Does she not want them anymore? I doubt that, she wouldn't be still here in this palace if she didn't. The only possible explanation I can think of is probably king Kian told her about us and ordered her to reduce my duties so that we can spend more time together like he had offered during the first dinner.
I manage a weak forged smile and reply "Thank you, Princess Hellen. I will go take a bath and ... go meet him." I quickly pick the bunch of flowers before making a hasty exit from the room.
