The night before our engagement party, I saw Liam kissing another woman in a bar.
He hung up on my call but texted me back quickly,
"What's up, honey? I’m swamped at work. Text me."

I sent the video of Liam’s kissing another woman to our family group, along with screenshots of his chat.
I announced the engagement was off.
Liam didn’t see the message in group at first time.
He was too busy kissing the beauty in his arms.
The group instantly exploded.
Liam’s cousin, Jake, was online in a flash,

"Holy crap! Is this what I can watch for free?"
"Sophie, did you send this to the wrong group?"
"Save the spicy video for my brother @LiamChen."
"Wait... does that guy look exactly like Liam???"

I smirked and replied,
"Looking like him is the whole point."
"Everyone, my engagement to Liam is officially canceled. Do not contact me."
After sending the message, I left the group chat.
My mom called me instantly.
I didn’t answer.
She’d been thrilled about Liam and me getting married, bragging to everyone about how I’d landed someone from a wealthy family.
Seeing me call things off out of the blue, she’d never go for it.
The phone kept ringing relentlessly.
Annoyed, I just switched it off.
I went back to my booth, ordered another cocktail, and settled in to wait.
Liam had muted the group chat ages ago.
So he wouldn’t see the chaos unfolding there.
But I was sure someone would tell him soon enough.
A friend asked why I’d been in the restroom so long.

"Ran into an acquaintance."
